The question kept repeating over and over in his head; "How the hell do the memories of exactly one person just vanish? I remember everything else perfectly. My friends, our time before the incident, our time in the Reclamation Squad, all of it. So why did I forget her? Why does everything fit so well without her being in there? And yet..."
He grits his teeth and balls his hands into fists, "...The stuff I just remembered, it doesn't fit anywhere in there. They're blurry as hell, but I can tell they don't match up with what I know. Dammit I can't even place a face with her voice," he thinks. "JUST WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH MY HEAD?!" Gin yells at the top of his lungs, before thrashing about in the void. Unexpectedly, one of his random punches makes contact with an invisible surface, snapping him back into reality. "What the?" He says in a bewildered tone. He tries placing a palm on the surface in front of him, and makes contact just like before. He moves his hand across the surface, it was smooth, but still had enough friction to pull on his skin. It felt somewhat like glass, maybe the type one would use for a window. He then had the sudden urge to break it into pieces.
"Well, breaking stuff hasn't steered me wrong before. What the hell, it's not like I'm gonna get anywhere just by floating around all day." He says out loud before readying a shield fist. With a good punch, the glass shatters, and Gin falls through the hole into a white void.
