Wow! You are being fucking serious here, aren't you? Fine, I will explain this once and I will try to not use too many big words to confuse you.
YOUR. WORLD. IS. A. FAKE. It's a book series written for kids to make them feel better about their shitty lives, at least that is how it is where I am from. If you haven't figured it out by now everyone here is from another universe, and in some of them worlds like yours are fictional, not real, made up, mass market media bullshit to pacify the masses.
In my world Moldymorts, Bumbledoors, and the whole lot are just characters in books. Harry Potter is the main character, the entire fucking universe revolves around him, probably why the entire serious was NAMED AFTER HIM. The wand waving and saying a few made up words doesn't work in most worlds, it is designed to entertain children. Real magic is more primal then that, when people die they are not hit with a bolt of green light then drop instantly. They bleed from every orifice, their insides liquefy, they feel every minute of it as they die slowly, screaming in total and utter agony. It uses blood, bones, death, and darkness. For the most part nothing good ever came with messing with that shit but once in awhile you can get lucky, intentionally or not. Those cases seem to be rather rare, so it is best to stay away from it.
Back to my earlier point, this gods forsaken place we are now stuck is a fucking mix and match bargain bin of whoever that Omni jackass could get his hands on. All your questions about what happened in your world are null and void unless you can scrounge up or summon someone from it. Hell, you even said your old prof is in Camelot, why not just go ask him!?
It is either that or you are lucky enough to find someone from a universe where the books exist that was lucky enough to bring them along for the ride, though that highly unlikely and would mean spoilers! You might find out you wind up deader then a door nail, which might still happen if you continue to piss me right the fuck off.
