What Are Your Favorite Video Games?

Age of Mythology. Most guys played AOE I or II, but I played this first (surprisingly enough, i got my copy from a book sale at an elementary school. Don't ask me how the hell it got there being rated T). It really helped me get better at other RTS games, and was a heck of a lot of fun. The campaign especially was really imaginative.
Borderlands 2. As a lot of people have already been saying, it's such a badass game
Mario Kart 64. Was my first racer ever.
Dota 2. Obvious reasons.
Team Fortress 2. A lot of people can say that this game gets really bland after a while but the amount of mod support means there's really no place you can't go with this game. Offers a lot of flexibility, zany atmosphere...tbh I'd say this is a great first FPS for anyone.
Civilization Series. Civilization III was my first, and by god i loved it. This is undoubtedly my favorite strategy game series ever. Beyond Earth kind of let me down tho...hopefully the expansion's a bit better when i get around to buying it.
Sid Meier's Pirates. Made from the same guys who made Civ. Essentially you go around being a pirate. Who doesn't want to be a pirate?
Garry's Mod. For those days when you just want to do whatever.
