I think receiving a full-on comission in the Imperial Army, with all the red tape and so forth, would tie in with the Recognition bonus? That makes this a long-term goal of yours, which you should be okay with (I imagine). Missions could be varied. They could send you to investigate things abroad. They might have you do clean-up work on lower tiers or in the Dataverse. They might send you to other verses to rough up people who oppose the Empire? The clay here is very malleable. Hell, they could station you in the Nexus.
