Moveset Analysis
#63
Mmm I'm not saying you did anything wrong with your character specifically. Just that at a glance I don't think it would be fun, that I wouldn't really get to show much of Desco because there wouldn't be much for her to do. I don't really mind losing so much.

The final test would be to actually have a fight and see how it goes.

I'll put it this way, the blue control metaphor. Blue control wins by stopping it's opponent from doing anything to begin with.

A rogue in WoW wins in PvP by getting his first stun on you and then not messing up his combo. Stunlocking you until you've died.

That's not a fun thing to play against.

If I want to game this I would probably ask about a tier 2 super move that inflicts a status which seals Telepathy on its target rendering them unable to use the power or moves associated with it. Disgaea has a couple debuffs I could spin to this effect.

But this isn't really fun either, I don't want to inorganically try to give her moves for metagaming.

And I'll post this for emphasis, once per round is not a drawback for warp burst. Because you can have an unlimited number of moves, arbitrary cooldowns like that have no real effect. You could buy 5 variants of Warp Burst and then have 5 uses of essentially the same move. Once per round doesn't mean anything, stamina cost does.

So it's deflects anything, yes I know it wouldn't actually deflect super moves in general circumstances but enough stats could overcome that, Desco can put a large amount of power into her one shot fireball and you deflect it and that ends her post. It didn't cost you much to stop me but I spent a fair amount of energy for a good attack.

It doesn't say what kind of power it's intended for or the maximum it can deflect. If I charge 30 seconds for an energy blast can you deflect that? The language is ambiguous

This is the Moves 101 that I refer to saying cooldowm means nothing http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?...t=Cooldown

And how about stop using arguments that I don't know what I'm talking about and Tearen does based on experience. This is a false point meant to reduce the value of what I have to say based on something other than what I said.
