I'd prefer to go the turbo route but a decent turbo setup would cost me about $20k. $10k for the kit/parts and $10k to build the bottom end so it doesn't grenade the first time the turbos spool.

Supercharger setup w/ parts will run me about $6k new and won't make enough power to blow the engine up in stock form.

Hah yeah. My kit including install will be run about 10k, but that's an internally gated turbo. From what I've read 300 HP is the max on my stock gearbox before I start seeing problems so I figure I shoot for 300 and have them externally waste gate the turbo.
