Hello Cat, I am glad to hear you are well.
First of all, thank you for reading my book; it means a lot that you would take the time to try and understand my thoughts and opinions about this unique situation we find ourselves in.
Some of these questions are mysteries I am hoping the Omniverse Institute will be able to explore, but I will endeavor to answer your inquiries as best I can.
I would hesitate to call the Omniverse a 'universe'. The most common definition of a 'universe' that I am aware of does not fit these worlds, as it implies a single, contiguous infinity in which all things are contained. As I explained in chapter four of The Monotruth, normally the ability to spontaneously create or destroy information (which includes both energy and matter) is impossible. This means that The Smiling One could not have simply 'taken' us from our homes without subsequently causing our universes to collapse. This either indicates that The Pale Tyrant is more malicious than I was even previously willing to conjecture, or, he simply copied as much of us as he could onto prexisting information within the Omniverse.
If we had simply been 'taken', and our universes, by some miracle, did not immediatelt come to an abrupt halt, we could hypothetically be returned to the point in time and space from which we had been 'taken', and life would continue on.
If my hypothesis is correct, however, and we are simply copies of our original selves, it would be impossible to return home. As for your thoughts on alternate timelines, that sort of thinking is relevant only within a set of divergent eventualities born from the same original universe. The Omniverse is conpletely removed from any such context and is therefore a completely unique reality.
The Omniverse is a violent and dangerous place, yes. Everything I wrote within The Monotruth about the different verses is well documented. The war between the Empire and Camelot is not a active one, but the animosity and intent of destruction is implicit in their relationship. As for whether or not the Camelot of this Omniverse has anything to do with the people you spoke of, that is a question O encourage you to pursue on your own. While I have educated myself as much as possible on the Omniverse, I have yet to fully understand the contexts of the ideas and people The Smiling One has stolen into it. Piracy and similar behavior is rampant in certain verses, yes. The Vasty Deeps, Endless Dunes and Frozen Fields are among the worst offenders in that category.
People expected me to arrest you while wearing a stormtrooper uniform, because the Empire is notorious for responding with undue hostility to minor offenses. I cannot say how many people have read The Monotruth; it is my eventual hope that I can one day say 'everyone'. As for allies in this effort...again, I cannot say, but I am glad to have your support.
The ability to summon living beings, or rather, construct recreations of them out of Omnilium, is an ability I have yet to study in full. There are several experiments I have in mind for exploring this topic.
Dante's Abyss was a survival tournament hosted by a prime named Karl Jak and his personal company, Syntex. In it, primes were forced to fend for themselves and slay eachother for glory and riches. Not all of the contestants were volunteers. Violet Uzumaki was a competitor in this contest, and she met her cruel fate when she was betrayed by another prime. She was banished to the Underverse, a place of, reportedly, eternal torture ans strife.
Again, travel through the varioud Omniverse portals is a topic for future study. Based on my understanding, I suspect that the verses are all isolated, finite worlds, linked by folds in space and time. While they all exist within the Omniverse in a physical sense, they are separated by dimensional barriers.
The existence of Omni is an interesting question that likely requires a great deal more thought, but it belies your intelligence, which I appreciate. In essence, yes, I have no reason to believe that The Smiling One does not exist. What his true form or nature is, is a mystery, but the fact that all primes perceive him the same way upon being called to this world lends evidence to, at the very least, a consistent idea.
