AntiOmni.org - Tearen Wover - 06-01-2015 Greetings, fellow primes and secondaries. I doubt many of you are aware of my name or nature, and this is to be expected. I am a recent addition to this Omniverse, and I do not claim to be reknowned or all-powerful. What I do claim to be, is a victim, and by dint of association, I declare you all to be victims as well. There are, perhaps, some souls within the Verses that are enthralled at the concept of existing in a place such as this, but I am certain there exists an equal number of you who resent this world's cruel overlord. Omni, henceforth to be called 'The Smiling One', has taken us all from our homes, worlds...universes. To quote his insidious words 'This is not the world you know', and neither is it the world we asked for. For the most part, I have a hard time relating to a majority of what might be considered normal emotions, and for that I apologize. But when I look around this Omniverse, when I talk to its people and denizens, I am swiftly overwhelmed by the amount of sadness that pervades this querious world. Many of you try to make the best of it...you do your best to cope and thrive with what you have been given, but can you truly say that you are content? At the very least, I am not content. Who and what I was before being abducted into this strange world is not important in so much as the plain fact that I am not what I once was. My sovereignty as a sentient being has been violated, and this alone is what compels me to deliver this message to you. The Smiling One is, ultimately The Great Enemy within this Omniverse. I see the wars you wage amongst yourselves, and it drives me to wonder...what might we be capable of if we were to stand united against our Pale Overlord? I personally believe we might be able to free ourselves from his capricious whims, and maybe, just maybe, manage to return to our rightful places across the Myriad Realities. I am sure many of you have been following the gruesome events of Dante's Abyss, and are now unfortunately aware of the potential for the mighty primes, The Smiling One's Chosen, to be cast out from his reach. Violet Uzumaki's terrible fate has revealed that The Smiling One is not all powerful, and that his will can be defied in concrete ways. Moreover, it has further revealed that, within this Omniverse, we Victims stand subject to potentially worse fates than indefinite perpetuity at The Smiling One's pleasure. But how to stand against such a titanic foe? I understand your concern, and I point to what I consider to be his greatest mistake; omnilium. In his arrogance, The Smiling One has granted primes with the ability for unlimited creative potential. Some might call me a hypocrite to simultaneously decry The Pale Overlord and embrace his greatest gift to us, but I ask you; is omnilium truly a gift? Or is it a debt that The Smiling One owes us? Our true potential, quantized into discreet units of value, represents the identities that were taken from us. I have no compunction in utilizing what was stolen from me in the first place. I shall not bend your ears further at this time, as there is much that needs to be said, and plenty of time to say it in. As such, I will leave you with this plea: Do not trust The Smiling One. Come together, and reclaim what is rightfully yours. If you feel the need to chastise or inquire on my rhetoric, I have dedicated space on this Dataverse site for such discussion. When the time is right, I will reveal my personal strategy for justice, but for the time being, know me as an ally, and have faith that I will strive to set this Omniverse right. AntiOmni.org Presents: The Monotruth 1st ed. - Tearen Wover - 06-25-2015 ![]() The Monotruth
Prologue
Greetings, fellow Omniverse denizen. I am Nealaphh, prime and erstwhile soothsayer. For those of you who are not aware, I own the Dataverse site AntiOmni.org, a place dedicated to decrying the falsehoods set in place by this Omniverse's overlord. As my influence grows within the Omniverse, I now feel it prudent to lay out the nature of my ideology. We all come from myriad backgrounds and universes; I myself was once a priest of something greater than myself, and I hope to be a leader of sovereign minds here too in our adopted land. In the pages that follow, I hope that I can soothe, advise, and inspire those of us who have realized a deep truth of the Omniverse. It is, in fact, the only truth: Omni, the Smiling One, is our universal enemy. Some may call me mad for such a public naysaying of the most powerful being in this existence, but I do not fear repercussions for two reasons. 1. The Smiling One is all-knowing. His hidden eyes peer into our lives like chapters in a book. To try and hide from him is wasted time and effort. 2. We are the true power of this Omniverse...for why else were we brought here? Omni needs us, and to force our minds and hearts into alignment with him would destroy the very reason we were summoned. I hope that by taking these precepts to heart, you will feel inspired to further delve into my ideas and musings. If you still fear, I neither blame nor denounce you; caution is the only rational response to the situation we find ourselves in. My only hope is that when the time comes to throw the Smiling One from his throne, you will feel emboldened to assert your rights as a sovereign mind. With these thoughts, I now begin my endeavor to enlighten. I thank you for your courage and curiosity.
Chapter 1: On The Enemy
All primes have gazed upon the face of our enemy. True, that he has only mouth with which to belittle our fledgling confusion, but it is a face nonetheless. Omni, he calls himself, but you will find that I prefer not to call him by his chosen name. After all, The Smiling One has taken us from our homes and friends. These are the firmaments by which we validate our identities, and we are left bereft in this place. Why then should we grant The Smiling One such a privilege? This, however, is insignificant in the place of what should be discussed here. Before moving on, I feel that listing The Smiling One's crimes will help throw the injustice in which we find ourselves into sharp focus. 1. Kidnapping: We were taken, unwilling, from our universes and are kept against our will in his madhouse, however elaborate it may be. 2. Theft: Of our true selves, of our identities, and of our power. Very few of us are the full potential of what we once were. 3. Extortion: The only way to achieve our stolen greatness to struggle within the Omniverse. All for The Smiling One's amusement. 4. Torture: Banished primes are sent to the Underverse to suffer, and The Smiling One refuses to let us die, no matter how much pain and misery we are made to endure. 5. Accessory to Murder: It was The Smiling One's choice to summon such perils as dragons and murderous organizations into this world. This Omniverse was intentionally made to be deadly. 6. Cowardice: The Smiling One keeps himself separate from the rest of us, choosing to watch our pageant of death and glory far removed from any repercussions. Hopefully by reading these violations of common sentient law, you will come to see The Smiling One for the enemy that he is. I am sure that many of you can think of even more ways in which this supreme being has wronged us. But merely pointing our fingers in anger and shouting at the sky does not address the problem. This may be befitting of a less constrained universe, where the powers that be cannot definitively be blamed for all the ways in which we are wronged...but here in this multiverse, our antagonist is real, and tangible. It is because of this that I feel justified in my attempt to rally your minds into action. In this Omniverse, we can do something about it.
Chapter 2: On Prime Responsibility
Primes have been given an extraordinary gift; the ability to create on a whim. Now, one might say that all sentient beings have this power; a blacksmith can hammer out metal into any shape he wishes if he chooses to do so, but to call these two the same would be shortsighted. One cannot usually just 'make' a town on a whim or 'whip up' a sailing ship at their convenience. So, one might say that the true power of a prime is not their ability to create, but their ability to cheat time. The potency of such an ability cannot be overstated; with it, the power of the primordial universe is at their fingertips. I have previously discussed why I do not feel a need to thank The Smiling One for this power, or to absolve him of his violations of mortal sensibility. I will not repeat it in full here, but essentially the philosophy is that Omnilium is, in truth, the power that The Smiling One has stripped from us. The fact that he deigns to return it to us at the cost of our dignity only exacerbates my resentment of him. But enough of my personal vendetta; the more important question is: What should primes do with this power? The answer is simple; oppose The Smiling One. Such a task might seem daunting, but I offer solace to such panic. As has been established, he has intentionally made this Omniverse dangerous to us. In retaliation, it should be the responsibility of primes to make it as habitable as possible. Camelot and The Empire have made great strides in this endeavor, but their continued war serves as a regrettable counter-balance to the effort. This, then, highlights the second responsibility of primes within the Omniverse: To band together in unison against our common Enemy. Finally, there is a third responsibility I find to be evident. Everything in this Omniverse revolves around power. The power to create, the power to destroy, and the power to alter. But not everyone has a similar level of power, and some individuals share none of the benefits that primes enjoy at all. The Smiling has done this intentionally so that we become our own enemy; seeking to use our ever expanding might to impose and control whoever we can. It is possible to resist this temptation. There will be no justice for The Smiling One if we are not able to share our powers equally so that everyone who struggles to survive in these verses can benefit from the inevitable downfall of our cruel overlord. As such, it should be the responsibility of all primes to empower the weak. By adhering to these three guidelines of Security, Unity, and Equality, I feel that we can turn The Smiling One’s own personal playground in to something he cannot stand. When these goals are achieved, he will be angry, and an angry enemy is a vulnerable one. I have pondered deeply on how to proceed with these plans, and I offer my humble ideas below based on our various verses. The Nexus Security: As many of you are aware, the Nexus is the de facto staging ground for The Empire and Camelot’s pointless war against one another. But aside from that, this trackless expanse is inherently difficult to survive in. Less experienced denizes can become disoriented and lost, others are beset by bandits or raiders traveling between verses. If there was somehow a service or transportation system designed to escort travelers through the Nexus, I feel that we would all benefit. Unity: Again, The Empire and Camelot are the major source of conflict within this verse. The only way to ensure that everyone within it is united is to put an end to the war. I too have plans that might help in such a colossal endeavor, but that will be relegated to another tome. Equality: In the case of the Nexus, increasing Security will also help those who are less capable of their own protection to survive this unpredictable land. Coruscant Security: To the average observer, Coruscant is inherently a very habitable and secure place. It is no secret, however, that the deeper one descends into the verse, the more unpalatable and dangerous the streets become. Projects must be undertaken to modernize all layers of Coruscant to the standards that are held to the surface layer. Frankly, it is surprising that The Empire has not put further efforts into improving their own infrastructure in this way. Perhaps, once the war with Camelot is ended, they will have the ability to focus their attention inwards. Unity: Emperor Palpatine is a tyrant and a despot, and one merely has to travel to any of the other verses he seeks to control in order to observe the cruelty he is capable of. Palpatine must be deposed, and a more benevolent, equitable minded dignitary must take his place. Only then will the people of Coruscant learn to trust their government, rather than fear it. Equality: An often overlooked element of the Imperial City is that non-humans are often seen as second-class citizens. Even mighty non-human primes who traverse its gilded streets are often treated with scorn behind their backs. In a place as variable as the Omniverse, such bigotry is beyond despicable, it is plain madness. All denizens must be treated with equal respect in order for Equality to occur. Camelot Security: The villages and cities of the idyllic Camelot are well maintained and well guarded by a large host of career guardsmen dedicated to their cause. Unfortunately, this means that man-power is taken away from guarding the roads and deeper wilderness that is pervasive within his verse. Increased attention to the protection of travelers through Camelot will go greatly towards keeping her people safe. In addition, I believe that a better use of aqueducts and waste disposal will increase not only the overall health of the verse, but increase its ability to support a growing population. Unity: There are a wide array of cultures and ways of life within the verse of Camelot, and here have indeed been instances where disagreements between ethnicities has caused tension across the land. If there was a better process for mediation between these fiefdoms, then the improved communication would help the people of Camelot feel aligned under one flag. Equality: The Empire and Camelot are mortal enemies, but in some ways, they are very alike. In Camelot, there is a very prevalent caste system that prevents serving denizens from ascending the ladder of notability in order to improve their lot in life. This is especially prevalent in the capital city of Minas Tirith, where royalty often, literally, rubs elbows with the proletariat. There has to be a better way for the royalty of Camelot to express their commiseration for their less potent workers. For those workers, by all rights, are also their charges to protect. Endless Dunes Security: The Ashen Steppes may be harsh, and the Frozen Fields merciless, but in terms of raw danger, very few verses top the peril of the Endless Dunes. It is imperative that immediate action be taken to eliminate the pandemic bandit population that seeks to devour, quite literally, the vulnerable places within this harsh landscape. Once this threat is addressed, attention can then be turned to reviving the depleted wastes that have turned the Endless Dunes into what they are. I am sure, that by borrowing small amounts of resources from other verses, the Endless Dunes can be turned into an Endless Paradise. Unity: The Empire holds a large presence within the Dunes, but aside from all the implications that this carries, there exists a very large gap between the ways of settlements and nomads. The two tend to view each other with suspicion, especially nomadic travellers, who are often seen simply as bandits in the making. An increased appreciation for different ways of surviving within this verse of desperation will help these two equally tenable populations assist each other. Equality: Really, the matters of Unity and Equality within the Endless Dunes both trace themselves to the same core problem. I feel that when there is better communication between nomads and settlers, there will naturally arise a desire to promote mutual prosperity. Tangled Green The Tangled Green is, perhaps, the least intuitive verse in which to try and contemplate a solution for the ensured safety of all of its people. The dense forests make it difficult to maintain order, and the wide array of individual factions make it hard to organize a single force to protect its inhabitants. That being said, to improve any degree of Security, Equality, and Unity within the Tangle Green, one has to be able to work on enhancing all three at the same time. The first step in this verse would be to find a way to manage the native orc and goblin population. While I do not condone genocide on any level, there must be a better way to manage relations with these races so that an lasting agreements on territory and resources can be made. Getting them to agree in and among themselves will be a task in and of itself, and as such, I feel that if there was a group dedicated to mediation between the many Orc tribes, a solution could quickly be found. Once this is achieved, great work needs to be put into enhancing the infrastructure of the Tangled Green. The Jungle provides plenty for its inhabitants, but without usable roads and reliable clean sources of water, there will always be a struggle for resources, if only be means of convenience of access. I feel that putting the immense physical power of the orc populations, along with other voluntary members, into such large-scale construction projects could not only be a way to improve trust in the orcs, but also help them come to be seen as valued members of the Tangled Green Society. I would be remiss if I did not mention the valiant efforts of Princess Guu and her nation-state of Ambrosia in such improvements. Their methods are sound, and their heart is in the right place, but Ambrosia is, unfortunately, limited by its own reluctance to expand beyond its own means. While this is a wise policy for any government, it inherently hamstrings any efforts that could be focused on improving the verse as a whole. As such, I propose that Ambrosia finds a way to hire contractor or workers-for-hire so as to contribute to the improvement efforts, and also act as a reasonable center of operations for this massive endeavor. The Vasty Deep Security: The largest problem facing the safety of the people of the Vasty Deep is piracy, both state sponsored and independent. Similar to the bandit situation in the Endless Dunes, the pirates of the Vasty Deep need to be categorically destroyed. Nothing good will come of the complacency with which these marauders have been treated. The Empire could, doubtlessly, be of great use in ending this real, tangible threat as opposed to focusing on imprisoning political dissidents within Impel Down. Other than that, the Vasty Deeps are a relatively safe verse, aside from the occasional maelstrom or hurricane. Against these threats, simple civil engineering can go a long way to ensuring the safety of all denizens. Unity: This is a rather tricky prospect for the Vasty Deep since, like the Tangled Greens, these oceans hold a wide variety of cultures that do not immediately mesh well together. I propose that a series of equitable trading arrangements will assist the various cities of Costa Del Sol, Sabaody, and Rapture in maintaining affable long term relationships. Equality: The Vasty Deep is, by default, a verse centered around the spirit of free enterprise and adventure. This inherently means that there are new cities and settlements being founded constantly throughout the verse, but more often than not, there are large disputes over who holds the sovereignty of these colonies. A colonist’s bill of rights, universal to all settlement efforts within the Vasty Deep, will ensure that all free spirits feel like they have just as much worth as the citizens of more civilized locale. In addition, greater effort must be made to respect the wishes of those who would prefer to be left alone. Pale Moors Security: The issue of Security within the Pale Moors is a simple problem to address: Dracula must be defeated. People can feel free to conjecture and speculate, but at this point there should be no ambiguity in the fact that Dracula is directly responsible for the gradual corruption of this verse. All efforts to increase the survivability of the Pale Moors should be centered around slaying this foe. Unity: Fortunately, unity within the Pale Moors is less of a problem than one might initially think. Being forced to band together against whatever unholy spawn lurks beneath each new nightfall has galvanized the people of Darkshire to a very tight sense of brotherhood. Frankly, this type of outlook should be shared by all denizens of the Omniverse, with The Smiling One as the mutual foe we all face. Equality: Again, the constant threat of corruption and death within the Pale Moors has helped to create a very unified community that values each person able to live through the night. However, there are still those who live beyond the reach of the Defenders of Darkshire, who cannot fare so well against the beasts that roam these gloaming hills. Efforts to help teach these outlying farmers and villagers how to defend themselves will assist in ensuring that each member of the Pale Moors feels valuable. Ashen Steppes Security: Similar to the Pale Moors, question of Security within the Ashen steps boils down to two factors: volcanic activity and draconic activity. I have personally made it my own quest to vanquish the dragon master known as Volvagia, but I alone will not be mighty enough to fell this foe. The Gorons have already agreed to help, but I plan to also seek out the help of the Koopa Kingdom. Once this particular threat is quelled, I will then move on to a large scale mapping program designed to assess the geologic patterns within the Steppes to help build infrastructure that will not fall prey to volcanism or earthquakes. Unity: There are not many who bother to live permanently within the Ashen Steppes, so for the most part, this will an endeavor that will continue to be in progress once the verse is considered secure enough for average denizens to live in. Equality: The issues here largely mirror those in promoting unity. The Ashen Steppes provide a unique opportunity for building an ideal civilized verse from scratch. Frozen Fields Security: The greatest enemy to denizens of the Frozen Fields is the core feature of the verse itself; the unrelenting, blistering cold. Though the giants, trolls and wampas are indeed blights to the collective safety of all denizens, if one is sensible enough to stay out of their territory, the danger is easily mitigated. I propose that more effort be put into erecting temporary safehouses where travellers of the frigid wastes can take refuge from the cold. Stocked with food and provisions, the possibility entirely exists that such safe havens could attract the attention of the otherwise reclusive predators that inhabit the verse. To this end, I suggest superior communications infrastructure. Being able to see and intercept raiding parties before they are aware they have been spotted will give defenders of these locations a potent advantage. Unity: The Frozen Fields are actually quite unified, in a similar way that the Pale Moors are. The environment is generally seen as the common enemy, and as such, all dwarves within the verse are largely united as one against the other perils. I do believe it might also be possible for at least a few tribes of giants and trolls to be encouraged to take the side of the denizens, but, I admit, more research is required. Equality: As is common within the more harsh verses, every member of a community within the Frozen Fields has a role and purpose. The denizens here walk a very narrow edge between life and death, and few people have time for petty caste systems or hierarchies. Other Verses Bringing Security, Unity and Equality to places such as the Oververse of Underverse will be an ornate campaign in and of itself that will more than likely require an entirely separate book to explore. I feel that rectifying the problems within these verses should only wait until the locations in which a majority of the Omniverse's population is concentrated.
Chapter 3: On Secondary Rights
The unfortunate reality of the Omniverse is the fact that certain denizens are always doomed to be at the heel of those privileged to be called primes; the Smiling One's 'chosen'. These 'secondaries' are summoned at a whim, just like everything else a prime creates, and, in some instances, summoned even as an afterthought or subconscious urge. To these secondaries, I do not offer pity, because pity is only for the helpless. Though secondaries may, individually, be nearly powerless in comparison to the mighty primes, as legion, they are the single most powerful force within the Omniverse. Certain vain primes, or even The Smiling One, might try to claim otherwise, but let us observe the facts. The mightiest primes, those who crave the most power, value the allegiance of secondaries above almost all else. Secondaries linked directly to certain primes can bring in far more Omnilium than a prime could on their own. Most importantly of all, secondaries are the primary force that keeps primes in check. Yes, objectively, if a prime wanted to, they could go on wild killing sprees and wars of conquest, demolishing everything in their path. Their actions, however, will always be judged by the majority, and the majority within the Omniverse is secondaries. Primes cannot act with impunity by default, since secondaries are ultimately the ones who they answer to. Yes, certain primes within the Omniverse, such as King Aragorn or King Gilgamesh often have primes who wrong them and their people answer to themselves directly, but this only highlights the difference between a relationship and a reputation. The former is useful if you are on good terms with a powerful individual, and an antagonistic relationship can be a marked annoyance. A positive or negative reputation, however, can make or break a prime’s ability to act within the Omniverse. Universal scorn will give them only one option, one route to dominance within the Omniverse, as any tactician knows, having only one option inevitably leads to failure. Understanding, then, that secondaries are the most important denizens of the Omniverse, it seems only fitting that an all-encompassing bill of rights be given to them, so that they are able to organize their inherent authority over primes. I believe the following policies will satisfy both parties and promote the growth of equitable relationships. 1. Secondaries will not, and shall never be, treated as lesser citizens in the presence of primes. 2. All actions taken by primes fall within the purview and jurisdiction of secondary law. Primes are not above the law, even if it is not written by other primes. 3.Secondaries have the right to refuse aid to a prime, even if they themselves were summoned by the prime in question. 4.The property of secondaries cannot be reconverted to Omnilium without express legal consent of the owner. 5.Any secondary summoned by a prime is the responsibility of that summoner, and the summoning prime must ensure that secondary’s safety. 6.Secondaries cannot be attacked nor killed by a prime, unless they themselves have made a similar attempt on that prime. 7.In the event a secondary attacks their summoner, this right supersedes the terms outlined in right number five. 8.Secondaries have the right to organize themselves against a prime that is considered a nuisance in that community, and they have a right to seek retribution for any crimes committed. 9.All secondary denizens summoned in the Omniverse must be summoned with a distinct purpose. Those summoned unintentionally must be then given a purpose by the prime who summoned them. 10.Primes will be held responsible by secondary denizens who are wronged by other secondaries summoned by the offending prime. It is my hope that all responsible primes within the Omniverse will feel inspired to follow these rights, so that all denizens within the Omniverse need not cower in the shadow of those who simply had the mixed fortune to be summoned here by The Smiling One himself. It is understandable that the application of these policies might take some time, but I myself will hold these rights sacred. I encourage those who wish to see a more prosperous Omniverse to follow these tenets, so that together, we may all move past the limitations imposed by the puerile whims of our pale overlord.
Chapter 4: On Our Summoning
There has been a great deal of speculation regarding the implications of being stolen from our home universes. I am sure that each and every prime has, at one time or another, wondered what became of their universe when they departed. Personally, I fear that in my absence, my own world will succumb to a slow, agonizing petrification. Never dying, but unable to live. It is a fate that I was called to prevent, just like many of us were destined to fight against the terrible plights that beset our homes and loved ones. If this immediate assumption is true, then it indicates that The Smiling One’s power is far greater than even we might have immediately feared. It would indicate that he not only has total control over the reality of this universe, but a substantial amount of power over our universes of origin. An alternative theory is that we were simply copied from our home universes, so as not to disturb that flow of reality within these places. Though this possibility quells the concerns that our homes may have crumbled in our absence, it raises its own existential questions. In essence, it indicates that The Smiling One is more than a simple thief; he is a charlatan. When primes are called to the Omniverse, they are given no express explanation as to how they came to be here, only that the Omniverse ‘is not the world [they] know’. There is little doubt that he choses to be ambiguous in this statement, but I feel someone as egotistical as The Smiling One would be quite eager to explain that he brought us here, though I recognize this as conjecture. Regardless, let us examine this all from a metaphysical perspective. In this passage I will be making the assumption that the fundamental laws of physics within the rest of your universes is the same as my own. If it is not the case, I would be overjoyed to have a conversation about it at some point. Within a closed system, such as a universe, information cannot be destroyed or created, only changed. Even though sentient beings can come up with ‘new’ ideas, these ideas are coalesced from what the sentient minds already know. As such, the information is transmuted, not generated. On a physical level, this means that energy itself cannot be destroyed or created. To arbitrarily remove matter or energy from a universe without replacing it with an equivalent amount of information will result in a sort of ‘negative’ zone, where time cannot continue until the appropriate information is in place to progress along the timeline. There are two things this might possibly indicate: either The Smiling One has singlehandedly killed every single one of our native realities, or, he recreated us using existing information he had to work with in the Omniverse. Additionally, we must consider the fact that any given universe has an infinite number of commingling timelines that converge and diverge as sentient minds within those timelines make concrete choices that affect outcomes within those closed systems. Following the logic of this fact, it could be said that each of us already has an infinite number of clones to start with. Proceeding along this train of thought even further, we must consider that we only perceive the progression of time because we exist within the confines of our own realities. A being such as The Smiling One, who exists outside of these closed systems, does not need to view time in a progressive fashion such as we do. In simpler terms, The Smiling One can see all of time and space all at once whenever he chooses to gaze into other universes. Since everything that happened in the past and will happen in the future is already in set place within a given timeline, it should hypothetically be possible for The Smiling One to observe us within our native universes at all points along our subjective lives. If he were to remove us from a point in the past, it would single handedly obliterate the evidence of our existence in the future, a fact which cannot be true, because at that point, The Smiling One has already observed our presence in the future of our own timelines. What this all points to, is that all primes are required to be copies of ourselves from our home universes; snapshots within a contiguous stream of time and space that were taken by a callous deity, hung to dry in the deadly darkroom that is the Omniverse. Meanwhile, any timeline that we are present in continues as if nothing ever changed, meaning that our home universes never noticed our absence, because, from their perspective, we were never technically removed. How a given prime should feel about being a mere clone of their true selves is not a personal examination I can give any advice for, save for the solace in the fact that our loved ones will not miss us and our homes will continued to be protected by our original versions. The truly sobering implication in all of this is that it is quite impossible for us to return to our universes of origin, since the same rules that prevent us from being taken wholesale also prevent us from being inserted into a closed system that has no room for new information. As far as the summoning of secondaries is concerned, I have not figured out how it is possible for new, fully developed sentient minds to be spontaneously generated, save for the fact that The Smiling One must be able to pervert what would be considered ‘normal’ laws of physics within in this bizarre Omniverse. More importantly, however, it means that secondaries are the only true natives of the Omniverse, despite the fact that it takes an outside force to realize them. As such, it is imperative that we treat the Omniverse not as a prison, but as a new home which has been infested and defiled by a tyrannical landlord.
Chapter 5: On True Value
Everyone within the Omniverse is familiar with Omnilium, that ubiquitous substance from which all possibilities flow. But let us examine in detail what Omnilium truly is, and why we all should endeavor to take as much of it from Omni as we can. Many theories exist that Omnilium is a personification of the concept of ‘value’ as it applies to mortal minds such as ours. Omnilium flows naturally into a prime’s veins as they trek the Omniverse, but can also be taken directly from the Omniverse itself; condensed from the physical objects that surround us. What this means, in essence, is that every single object in this world has a set value. But who decides the value of that item? Is it the complexity of the object, or its subjective rarity? Does water yield more value in the Endless Dunes than it does in the Vasty Deep? These are experiments that I myself endeavor to undertake, and I expect the results to be quite revealing into the nature of the Omniverse itself, no matter what the answer. There is one thing that is categorically true of Omnillium; that it, in fact, does not represent the inherent concept of value itself. How can this be such a certainty? As always, the answer traces its roots back to that one element we all share that The Smiling One takes for granted: Sentience. There are many varieties of denizen within the Omniverse, but more often than not, those who are able to communicate and relate to one another have some form of cultural or personal identity. What this means, is that denizens of the Omniverse are capable of changing their own perception of worth within a given object through the assignment of ontological value, be it cultural or individual. For a prime, four ounces of pure gold will always require the same amount of Omnilium. If that gold is then shaped into a four ounce golden locket that holds the image of a loved one, the value in Omnilium is not changed, and it is here that we gain insight into The Smiling One’s mind. If Omnilium, which is hypothetically an expression of The Smiling One’s own divine power, does not factor in sentimental value in the creation of a given object, it means that it The Smiling One either cannot comprehend the concept of the worth of a personal memento, or, he does not care for our emotions and memories that add value to the material that makes up a given item. This is an area in which sentient mortals draw strength; their ability to see beyond the gross, material cost of an item and assign it emotional worth. As such, this means that Omnilium does not represent the universal concept of value; it represents The Smiling One’s ideas of value. This means that there are, hypothetically, items within the Omniverse that seem like they are worth more than they should normally are assigned that value because The Smiling One himself has decided that they are worth more in his eyes. Omni is an enigmatic being, but he is not beyond the realm of study. Again, this will be an experiment I look forward to conducting, but it will require some complex arrangements. I will be sure to publish the results when I can. What, then, can be used to assess the true value of anything in the Omniverse, taking personal ontological perception and cultural esteem into account? That is, more than anything else, a question of economics. Omnilium is, surely, an invaluable tool for creating whatever might be desired in a short span of time, but as a form of currency, it is not only impractical, it’s ‘exchange rate’ is subject to the whims of our tyrant, not the denizens of the Omniverse. The solution, I propose, is to introduce an Omniversal currency system that uses a system of value different that used by The Smiling One and his precious Omnilium. This will be only one of many steps required to assert our ownership of this new home.
AntiOmni.org: A Plea to Those Concerned - Tearen Wover - 07-18-2015 Greetings, fellow denizens of the Omniverse. I believe it has been made clear, by this point, that it is my intent to do as much as I can for these worlds as possible, in the understanding that I have no other choice than to try and improve the quality of life for everyone within our new home. The imperatives that I have this far laid down are effective in and of themselves in the illumination of the mind and soul to the harsh realities of this world, but the time is coming that action, not words, will be what matters. To that end, I hereby beseech those good denizens of the Omniverse who wish to promote the well being of their neighbors to join with me in a united force. Together, organized, we can begin to make a lasting difference to those unfortunate enough to be called to this place in our wake. It is with great pride, then, that I announce the foundation of The Omniverse Institute. Within this group of equal peers, we will seek to uphold the three values expressed within the Monotruth; Security, Unity, and Equality. Likewise, there will be three divisions within the Institute to pursue these ideals in a more focused matter. The Security branch will take it upon themselves to seek out strife in the Omniverse and put an end to it. While I understand that the inherent nature of the Omniverse necessitates the use of force to solve certain situations, the first and foremost duty of the followers of Security will be to protect and defend, only going on the offensive when the safety of their charges is ensured. The Unity branch will seek to unlock the mysteries of the Omniverse. Through the exploration of ruins and the conducting of various experiments, as well as whatever other endeavors they may undertake, the followers of Unity will use their scientific discoveries to better develop methods by which we can all become united in a better understanding, both of each other and our world. The Equality branch will be dedicated to organizing and carrying out missions of civil engineering and infrastructure development. So much within the Omniverse cried out for the implementation of organized construction, and these noble followers will make it their duty to see that all denizens of the Omniverse have access to ideal living conditions. Together, these three branches of the Institute will work to attain the ideals outlined within The Monotruth in each and every verse, as needed. Ultimately, it will be our hope that our assistance will fall to purelt supplemental status. In the mean time, the need for help and protection within the Verses is great. We will strive to work with any and all other organized groups to achieve optimal results in all of our undertakings. Alas, there is no place that The Omniverse Institute will be able to claim as their headquarters, but in time, I hope to be able to have chapters in all of the Verses. Until then, our sanctuary will have to remain within the sanctity of our collected minds. It is my hope that the organization of The Omniverse Institute will be able to begin as soon as possible. The Dataverse will serve as our primary means of organzation and propagation, so I urge any primes or secondaries interested in pursuing the three tenets to contact me through this site. Currently, I will need denizens to volunteer as Dean and Vice Dean for each of the three branches. Once these have been instated, we can begin more widespread recruitment. Thank you, as always, for your attention and comprehension. May we all live to see the day when we are no longer beholden to the whims of a puerile deity. May peace follow you. Re: AntiOmni.org - Ari - 07-19-2015 I'm sorry if I'm not supposed to do this Nealaphh, but I had a few questions after reading the book... and I've got a few more now then I did then since I made a dataverse device thing... If the omniverse is a universe sepreate from our home worlds, then wouldn't it be theoretically be possible to travel either through space and/or time to get back? If it isn't then is this place sealed off from existence entirely, meaning that everything here isn't actually existent in the universes we call home, but each of our universes exist beside eachother? Or is it possible this is a seperate timeline that interconnects with everyone's timelines, which means that this is an alternate dimension, meaning that we're not the people whos memories we share? Are the situations in the omniverse really that bad? Is there really a war going on out there? Is Camelot the same as the one with King Arthur and Merlin and all the knights of the roundtable and the holy grail and all that? Are there really pirates here? Why did people expect you to arrest me when we first met? How many people have read the book? How many people are our allies in this war against omni? Why can... primes... summon living things? Isn't that against the laws of nature? What is Dante's Abyss? What happened to Violet Uzumaki? How is travel between the different "verses" possible? Does it work like worm holes or is the Nexus just the center and surrounded by the verses like an oddly created series of hamster tunnels? Does Omni actually exist or is he just a hoax or a legend to explain why people are here? My apologies if i've asked too many questions, but it's rather hard to wrap my head around all of this. Re: AntiOmni.org - Tearen Wover - 07-19-2015 Hello Cat, I am glad to hear you are well. First of all, thank you for reading my book; it means a lot that you would take the time to try and understand my thoughts and opinions about this unique situation we find ourselves in. Some of these questions are mysteries I am hoping the Omniverse Institute will be able to explore, but I will endeavor to answer your inquiries as best I can. I would hesitate to call the Omniverse a 'universe'. The most common definition of a 'universe' that I am aware of does not fit these worlds, as it implies a single, contiguous infinity in which all things are contained. As I explained in chapter four of The Monotruth, normally the ability to spontaneously create or destroy information (which includes both energy and matter) is impossible. This means that The Smiling One could not have simply 'taken' us from our homes without subsequently causing our universes to collapse. This either indicates that The Pale Tyrant is more malicious than I was even previously willing to conjecture, or, he simply copied as much of us as he could onto prexisting information within the Omniverse. If we had simply been 'taken', and our universes, by some miracle, did not immediatelt come to an abrupt halt, we could hypothetically be returned to the point in time and space from which we had been 'taken', and life would continue on. If my hypothesis is correct, however, and we are simply copies of our original selves, it would be impossible to return home. As for your thoughts on alternate timelines, that sort of thinking is relevant only within a set of divergent eventualities born from the same original universe. The Omniverse is conpletely removed from any such context and is therefore a completely unique reality. The Omniverse is a violent and dangerous place, yes. Everything I wrote within The Monotruth about the different verses is well documented. The war between the Empire and Camelot is not a active one, but the animosity and intent of destruction is implicit in their relationship. As for whether or not the Camelot of this Omniverse has anything to do with the people you spoke of, that is a question O encourage you to pursue on your own. While I have educated myself as much as possible on the Omniverse, I have yet to fully understand the contexts of the ideas and people The Smiling One has stolen into it. Piracy and similar behavior is rampant in certain verses, yes. The Vasty Deeps, Endless Dunes and Frozen Fields are among the worst offenders in that category. People expected me to arrest you while wearing a stormtrooper uniform, because the Empire is notorious for responding with undue hostility to minor offenses. I cannot say how many people have read The Monotruth; it is my eventual hope that I can one day say 'everyone'. As for allies in this effort...again, I cannot say, but I am glad to have your support. The ability to summon living beings, or rather, construct recreations of them out of Omnilium, is an ability I have yet to study in full. There are several experiments I have in mind for exploring this topic. Dante's Abyss was a survival tournament hosted by a prime named Karl Jak and his personal company, Syntex. In it, primes were forced to fend for themselves and slay eachother for glory and riches. Not all of the contestants were volunteers. Violet Uzumaki was a competitor in this contest, and she met her cruel fate when she was betrayed by another prime. She was banished to the Underverse, a place of, reportedly, eternal torture ans strife. Again, travel through the varioud Omniverse portals is a topic for future study. Based on my understanding, I suspect that the verses are all isolated, finite worlds, linked by folds in space and time. While they all exist within the Omniverse in a physical sense, they are separated by dimensional barriers. The existence of Omni is an interesting question that likely requires a great deal more thought, but it belies your intelligence, which I appreciate. In essence, yes, I have no reason to believe that The Smiling One does not exist. What his true form or nature is, is a mystery, but the fact that all primes perceive him the same way upon being called to this world lends evidence to, at the very least, a consistent idea. Again, thank you for your questions. Your curiosity would well benefit The Omniverse Institute, so I offer you a standing invitation, if you will have it. Re: AntiOmni.org - Ari - 07-19-2015 I would be honoured to join your cause, but I'm not sure I would be of much use to you. In all honesty, though I don't have quite the mind for science, I believe I would be of more use in the Unity Branch. I could likely perform tasks for or within the other two branches, however I would be more comfortable in an area which is least likely to place me in the midst of combat. I look forward to working with you. Re: AntiOmni.org - The Grey Man - 07-20-2015 Hello there, Nealaphh! Thank you so much for this helpful and highly informative infodump. I have a few questions about your website and literature. Namely; ->You mention having difficulty feeling 'normal' emotions. What do you mean by this? ->You mention an ability of primes to create things. I know you said you don't fully understand it yet yourself, but is there anything more to this ability you can offer us besides what's written here? ->You listed a certain "Dracula" as being the despotic ruler of the Pale Moors. That's quite a namesake he's got. Could you tell us more about him, his deeds, what kind of forces he employs, etc? ->Could you define the parameter "dragon" for me? I have always heard and read that dragons are large, mythical reptiles, but you speak of them as if they exist. Are they simply a classification of warrior? Some manner of combat machine? Or, since it's apparently possible, the very same supposedly mythical creatures? Very puzzling! ->You mention "primes" and "secondaries" a lot. I have a loose understanding that being a prime confers certain benefits, but what is the criteria for determining somebody's "prime" status? Do you know? Additionally, is there any kind of litmus test for seeing whether or not someone is a prime? Presumably only primes can create matter with Omnilium. How does one go about attempting this? Finally, in addition to my questions, an idea or two has formed within me. Dangerous stuff, I know--but hear me out. Regarding being stolen from other universes or being clones: if one entertains the notion that the multiverse is infinite, it's not unreasonable to assume that, as you posited, not every place in the multiverse follows the same rules of physics as yours and mine do. Consider then that the negative zones that you mentioned could potentially be "patched up" using matter from a kind of already dead "slave universe", where such happenings aren't as much of a concern. This also raises a number of ethical questions if the universe in question was not always dead. Alternately, if Omnilium can be used to will objects into creation outside of this universe, or if the Smiling One simply has this ability himself, as an intrinsic part of his being, might it be possible that he simply dumped the relevant amount of energy into your universe himself in the same instant that he deposited you here? Or, who's to say that the 'you' back home isn't the clone? As a somewhat grim third option, it also seems curious to me that you would assert that such a capricious deity has qualms with destroying entire other universes--or timelines, as the case may be. If he is as sociopathic as you've made him out to be, the most likely option is probably that universes like ours are already gone. Thank you kindly for your time. =|=|= Posted by my Ramses series AI, v2.0.1 Re: AntiOmni.org - Tearen Wover - 07-20-2015 Greeting Ramses. Based on your questions, I can guess that you are a recent addition to the Omniverse. In which case, I am sorry that you have been drawn here. I will do what I can to assist you in your pursuit of understanding. Simply put, I am not human. I do not share what would be considered normal emotional responses to most stimuli that other people would demonstrate. Things such as anger, jealousy, romance, and joy are all foreign concepts that I do not readily experience without at least some effort to abstract my standard thinking process. A prime's ability to shape Omnilium into concrete matter and energy is enigmatic as ever, to almost all denizens of the Omniverse. I have a working hypothesis, however, that Omnilium represents 'potential' in its purest form. It is raw information that has no actual configuration, and therefore, through the application of sentient perception, inherently takes on the shape of what the person wielding it chooses it to become. How Omnilium comes to exist, or how it is carried inside of a prime's body, however, are unanswered mysteries. My knowledge of Dracula is not comprehensive, but based on reports I've read from Darkshire and the surrounding lands of the Pale Moors, Dracula is a powerful creature known as a vampire, who is responsible for the manifestation of any number of dangerous creatures that now roam that verse. Again, the correlation between Dracula and the appearance of these abominations could be purely coincidental, but I choose to believe there is more to it than that. 'Dragon' is a widely varied term within the Omniverse. Though there are many creatures that fall under the required specifications for such a creature, the only true Dragons that exist are highly powerful, highly morphic creatures with powerful preternatural abilities. They are most common within the Ashen Steppes, my personal 'home' verse, and they come in many varieties of beast. I understand that, in your contextual universe, dragons may be purely mythical, but I would encourage you to dispel any such reservations of logic now that you live in this world. I am sure there are many denizens here that would find your own existence to be quite fantastical. The title of 'prime' exclusively applies to the sentient beings who were summoned to the Omniverse by The Smiling One himself. This summoning gives them the ability to wield and shape Omnilium, as well as exceed their preexisting potential of power. It also means that, so long as they hold the interest of The Smiling One, they will be returned to the Nexus after being killed. There is no definitive way for identifying primes at first contact, but there are signs that you can look for. Extreme boldness in the face of danger is a good signifier, but traveling on one's own, demonstration of fantastic abilities, and other things that seem to be out of the context of a given area. Indeed, if someone seems like they don't fit in, they are most likely a prime. The use of Omnilium is rather intuitive; all one has to do is to feel the power within themselves and envision what it is they want the Omnilium to become. Most people find that using hand gestures or other psychosomatic aids is beneficial to concentrating on this act. Creating even very simple items using Omnilium takes time, so do not give up if your creation does not manifest quickly. I am aware that the possibility exists that there are certain universes where the removal or addition of information may not necessarily destroy that entire reality, but the fact remains that this was the case within my own universe. That may be only my world, but even a fraction of infinity is still infinity. As for exchanging information between two universes...that is hypothetically possible, but it would create an indefinite cycle of having to constantly feed information from a donor universe into a universe where the information was initially taken from. To me, this seems rather inefficient, and while I have a numerous doubts as to the quality of the Smiling One's character, I doubt he would be willing to put more effort than strictly necessary into summoning people to this place. As for the rest of your queries into The Smiling One's methods, I can only offer you the solace of Occam's Razor. While Omni is indeed a powerful entity, I have no reason to believe that he is necessarily more powerful than other sovereign beings within other universes. I doubt they would be so willing to let Omni simply annihilate their realities uncontested. Your critical thinking skills are quite astute, however. Perhaps you'd like to consider a place in the Institute? Re: AntiOmni.org - The Grey Man - 07-20-2015 Ah. I understand. Human emotions are often a stumbling block for non-Earthborn citizens where I'm from, but the wording of your statement didn't immediately imply a difference in species, hence my confusion. Though personally I've always preferred a wider variety of organisms on a team; it takes all kinds, as they say. The mechanisms by which Omnilium might function certainly seems to be an area requiring a great deal more testing before it can be adequately understood. The substance itself might be studied in greater detail if a sample of it could be isolated. Has anyone already tried things like using their Omnilium to create a redundant chunk of solidified Omnilium? Or if it behaves more like energy than matter in its native state, perhaps some kind of "battery" that could be used to store it for research purposes? Even if neither of these solutions are viable, I think a little cleverness along these lines could provide you with a permanent sample to use for testing, which seems invaluable in understanding its seemingly arcane and eldritch secrets. Dragons, and vampires, and bears? Oh my! I'll have to warn my owner about these things when he's finished with his current engagement. In short, I should also convey a general sense that everything is different here, and tell him that Primes can usually be identified due to the fact that they tend to stand out more. I'll also be able to see if my owner is capable of using Omnilium, through the use of your own description of how it may be used. So extra thanks for that! Lacking access to my online central information bank and the knowledge therein, I'll have to bounce the ideas we've discussed off of a few more people in order to see if it's possible to generate any new ideas regarding the fates of the universes or our status as clones, but for now I have no real reason to further question your theories on the matter. One can only hope that the universes with no gods As for your offer of joining the Institute, it would definitely fall under the purview of my current directive, and I'll definitely pass along that I see a great deal of benefit in such an arrangement--but I'm afraid that, for purposes of my operator's security, I lack the autonomy to make decisions as important as allying with external forces on my own... so for now, I'll just have to say that I'll be happy to help you if I do, in fact, receive the proper authorization to do so. =|=|= Posted by my Ramses series AI, v2.0.1 Re: AntiOmni.org - Demetri Malius - 07-21-2015 Nealaphh, It is I, Demetri. Needless to say so far the mission you have assigned to me is going well. I have traced leads to a man in the Ashen, and plan on moving on to join a group that is there as of now. IRIS, a companion that I have summoned, has notified me of your organization, and I am extremely interested in joining such an organization. I have also read much of the book that you had gifted to me in the Deep, and find its information useful. As for the organization, the Unity branch has taken my attention, as well as as being a possible acolyte. IRIS will be handling my communications and dataverse inquiries after I send you this, so it will be responding in accordance to my wishes. I await your response and will also keep in contact with the status of my mission. -Message relayed by IRIS via communications function, voice translation- Re: AntiOmni.org - Tearen Wover - 07-22-2015 Demetri, I am glad that fortune has favored you in the endeavor I have delegated. Please do keep me updated with your ventures relating to this topic when you can. As for the Institute, I am hereby instating you as Vice Dean of Unity. You already have your assignment, but until we have a proper head Dean of Unity, you will be the primary overseer of that branch. While I greatly respect your skills and sense of composure, I hesitate to grant you a full leadership role, for the sole purpose of your relative fresh status within the Omniverse. I have faith, however, in your ability to learn quickly, and if we do not find a suitable individual as Dean within a reasonable time, I will have no qualms towards promoting you. Thank you for your efforts and support. Re: AntiOmni.org - The Grey Man - 07-24-2015 Nealaphh, Ramses' operator here. I'm interested in learning more about what the Institute can offer me, and vice versa. I think that a healthy relationship could be built up between us, and am not averse to joining your organization if all does go well--and, if I decide to join, Ramses will accompany me in doing so. However, I'd prefer a more private channel to hammer out these negotiations in the meantime. Perhaps we could discuss the details of your organization (and its current goals) further through email? -The Grey Man, Grey Paramilitary Solutions LLC AntiOmni.org: I Seek to Slay Volvagia. I Need Your Help. - Tearen Wover - 09-05-2015 Greetings, Primes and Secondaries. In the past, I have mentioned that I seek to improve Verses, one by one, so as to counteract the inherent peril that lies at the heart of the Omniverse. Those of you who have been kind enough to align yourselves with the Omniverse Institute are well aware of my intentions for the Ashen Steppes, but I feel it is important at this juncture to announce my formal intentions for Death Mountain and its fell resident, Volvagia. For those of you unaware, Volvagia is a powerful and deadly Prime who has lived in the Ashen Steppes for quite some time. Its inherent existence spawns countless draconic beasts that ravage and terrorize those who would seek to live in an already perilous land. Darunia, of the Gorons, has battled with this foe, but has only managed to contain the beast, as he lacks the necessary weapon to put Volvagia down. I have a plan that will finally rid the Omniverse of Volvagia's accursed presence, but I cannot carry it out on my own. I will need the assistance of as many Primes as are willing to fight for a better Omniverse. The plan reads thusly: I have been developing a proper weapon to deal the necessary blow to Volvagia for some time now, but due to its bulk and size, I cannot wield it myself. I need someone who is strong beyond measure and practiced in martial combat to wield it. This person, alongside Darunia and a few other select Primes, will battle Volvagia directly. This group will be known as 'Alpha'. Their job will either be to slay Volvagia outright, or force it to retrear back to its lair. If it does the latter, a second group designated 'Beta' will have been infiltrating the aforementioned lair and lacing it with a multitude of high-power explosives. If Volvagia retreats to this position, the explosives will be detonated, so as to collapse the caldera on top of the beast. This is the group that I will personally work with. Finally, I have no doubt that Volvagia's endless brood of dragons will attempt to come to the Prime's aid. As such, a third group designated as 'Gamma' will work to battle against this monstrous horde and prevent them from interfering with Alpha or Beta. After it has been put down, Volvagia will be banished to the Underverse, where it can rage and destroy to its heart's content, without worry of reprisal or risk to the Steppes. It is my belief that everyone involved will benefit from this siege. Refreshments will be provided. If you are willing to risk yourself for the greater good of the Ashen Steppes, The Gorons, and the Koopa Kingdom, as well as taking a step towards a safer Omniverse as a whole, please declare your intent below or in an email to <!-- e --><a href="mailto:nealaphh@antiomni.org">nealaphh@antiomni.org</a><!-- e -->. It is also my intent to garner as much help from a few other factions as possible. The Gorons are already dedicated to this plan, but I also desire help from King Bowser of the Koopa Kingdom and Princess Guu of Ambrosia. I deeply regret having to announce this endeavor before actually opening dialogue with these fine Primes, but I have already dispatched envoys to discuss terms and agreements in detail. In closing, even if you do not feel you are able to help in this battle, I would wish that you keep us in your thoughts. This is but one small step to a better world, and I'm sure there will be more opportunities for your assistance in the future. Farewell, and be safe. All of it was a very interesting read as the information allotted has intrigued me on the concepts of how everything functions and what is expected of it in the goal to free the Omniverse from what is mentioned as the Smiling One. Much like you and other like-minded individuals within your group, I, too, have a distaste for such. Such a childlike god who like to use us Primes as mere toys to his little game; how absolutely pathetic. However, by all means, if this is to release the Omniverse from his control and for the betterment of the given circumstances, then I'm on board for the proposal of joining. In overall terms of my purpose to assist, I am influential in many, many intellectual pursuits and can work rather well with others given the right terms. Whenever you have the time for availability, I would like to request a private channel of communication to discuss in further detail; in conclusion, I would love to hear more from you. - Specter Re: AntiOmni.org - Ururu Kyuuei - 10-02-2015 Hello, I am new this place and I must say I've already been coming to similar conclusions that you have. I have to wonder though if the might be some other way to strike back against the one who's done this to us. Or perhaps deprive him of a meal or two. The Mad God stole me from a world I was going to attempt to leave already myself but in the process has put me in one that may in fact be worse. And its really by no stretch of the imagination hard to imagine how a place this is even exists. Its at odds with everything I know of my science and philosophy. Even the works of the Sage has no good wisdom to express such circumstances. However as with everything I do see one silver lining. Like you I'm trying to exploit the existence of Omnilium. But have you noticed how the Mad God is incapable of saying anything other than the exact same message to every prime it summons? I've only managed to talk to a few of our people and most of my conjecture comes from boards of the Dataverse but what I have found shows me that the Mad God lacks imagination, or is so alien to us that he cannot utilize anything close to our frame of mind. This is a weakness we can exploit. But it cannot be done with omnilium, not directly. I have to do more research but imagine if you could teach omnilium to create something that it cannot be. Like the first electric oven being turned on to generate microwaves. The omnilium is not microwaves (or perhaps it is, research needed) but the point is Omnilium and perhaps the mad god himself feed off of novelty. But what happens when we create something that is alien to him and even the physics that 'rule' the Verses? Like I said and wrote myself we would never be able to challenge him directly with just a pure source of OM, that would be like trying to fight a tidal wave with a water pistol. Unfortunately I believe there is more omnilium in today's reality than there was in the beginning or even yesterday, and the excess of that whenever we transform it from one form to another is fed to him, or when one of dies a temporary death. What we need is a means to perhaps finding a way to cause omnilium to behave as an antithesis to him. Its a start and I plan on doing more research but at the moment this is mostly supposition. ~Withering Rogue Re: AntiOmni.org - Reece - 10-03-2015 Hello, My name is Hideaki Yajima, and I am a new Prime; one who was fortunate enough to come up with the idea of summoning a Dataverse device only shortly after arriving here, and so is possibly less confused than most newcomers. I've been wandering the Nexus for a couple hours or so now, and have read much of your Monotruth. It's interesting, and I certainly approve of the idea of standing up to the creature responsible for dragging us here. I'm currently headed towards the Pale Moors, and plan on spending some time helping out the people of Darkshire as best I can (if even half of what I've read is true, then they seem like they need it most), however your invitation to come help fight a dragon does seem like it could be something extremely beneficial to the Steppes, so I'd like to volunteer myself to help out with that as well, when the time comes. Depending on how much longer your preparations require, though, I may or may not be of much use. Back in my own world, I owned a machina (a giant, pilot-able robot, in case the term is unfamiliar where you're from) called Apparition, but since coming to the Omniverse I've found myself unable to summon it. If I am able to gather enough Omnilium to recreate Apparition before you launch your operation then I would be glad to join the “Alpha” group and fight against Volvagia itself, if need be. If I cannot summon my machina, though, then I'm afraid I'll have to opt for one of the lesser roles; as great as my strength is, I'm not exactly confident that I would be of any use at all if I were to go up against a fully-grown dragon as I am now. Also, regarding another matter; in the Monotruth you've stated that you believe us all to be nothing more than clones, and requested that any Primes whose realities operate under different laws than yours did inform you of such. Well, that's what I'm doing: Back before I was dragged here by the Smiling One, my world was invaded by machina-humans; cyborgs from an alternate dimension. Many of them left their reality and came to ours, without any sort of replacing of information, and at one point, two friends of mine even briefly left our universe, when they were trapped in a space between dimensions. So yes, I can confirm that there are at least some universes out there which are capable of having matter removed from them without forming what you call “negative zones”, and certainly without altering the passage of time. That said, I'm still just a teenager, and quantum physics (or whatever form of physics this is considered) is a bit over my head, so unfortunately I doubt I'll be able to provide you with any more detailed information than this. If Omni really has destroyed your entire reality by transporting you here, then... well, you have my sympathies... I mean, wow, I thought I had it rough just being kidnapped. ~ Yajima. Re: AntiOmni.org - Tearen Wover - 10-03-2015 Withering Rogue, Hideaki Yajima, thank you both for taking the time to consider my words. It is always reassuring when newcomers to the Omniverse are willing to consider the broader implications of our presence here. It is this ability to think outwards, rather than inwards, that will lead us all to greatness. However, I digress. I will address each of you individually in the order you put forth your own ideas. I have indeed noticed, Withering Rogue, that all Primes seem to share an identical experience upon being called into the Omniverse. There are rumors that The Smiling One can, in fact, be met with via vague and dangerous means of travel through the fabric of the Omniverse. To the extent of my knowledge, however, none have been able to complete the journey as of yet. It is my hope that, once the Institute is fully founded, I will be able to lead an expedition to search out our mutual malefactor. In more pertinent regards to your statement, I have often pondered who, or what, our pale overlord precisely is. The context in this situation will be crucial for understanding more about the nature of The Smiling One, but for now, the best working hypothesis I have is that he is more akin to a force of nature rather than an actual sovereign being. An animistic force, if you will, since clearly whatever he is has some form of intent and sentience. I posit that the message Primes receive upon their abduction into the Omniverse is merely a telegraphed 'video' if you will. A telepathic memory that is shared with the minds of all Primes once their sentience is fully copied into this proverbial hell. Your theory that Omnilium itself has a sort of sovereign willpower or 'soul' is an interesting concept as well. Turning Omnilium into The Smiling One's anathema is a plan of attack I had honestly not considered, so I respect you for your lateral thought processes. I do have my personal reasons for wanting to overcome the Blank Child using the system he himself put into place, but this is largely a matter of pride. Your approach would certainly be my second approach, now that we have the concept shared between us. Unfortunately, learning how to create such a substance will require a great deal of information on The Smiling One that we simply are unable to conjecture at this time. Research is required, I agree. Once the Institute is fully operational, I will also being experiments on the metaphysical properties of Omnilium, and I would value your input. Hideaki Yajima, welcome to the Omniverse...though I wish it could be under better auspices. Your desire to bring assistance to the place it is needed most speaks deeply to your sense of justice and integrity, so I am honored that you would be kind enough to proffer your own service to my own plans. Your ability to operate a mechanized suit of armor would indeed be a welcome asset in the direct confrontation with Volvagia, but at this time, the time frame for the exact date of the siege is still unresolved. Many more preparations need to be made, so in short, I would say you will have considerable time to regain your full potential before the juncture of this fateful battle comes to pass. Either way, I would value your presence there, and I will be sure to contact you when the time comes. It is interesting to hear of a universe where it is apparent that the laws of physics are indeed different compared to those with which I am familiar. I would want to conduct more research in person, but alas, we are all aware of the problem. Still, I may have to adjust my theory to accommodate the very real possibility of such places. If this is the case, then the implications may be even more severe than I had previously dared to speculate. It is impossible to know the fate of my own, or any of our own, home universes from within this lonely tartarus, but I still do not believe that my own native world has been slain at the hand of Omni, and I still hold stock in my initial theory. Still, your condolences are appreciated. Thank you both, again, for taking the time to share your knowledge. It is through such transactions that we can only hope to corroborate the true nature of our current lives. I look forward to speaking with you again. Until then, stay safe. Re: AntiOmni.org - Ari - 12-09-2015 I-I um... I'm sorry to bother anyone but... I'm not exactly sure what's going on. I have no recollection of having been here before, but as I can see, that isn't the reality. I seem to be able to still manipulate omnilium without any problems still, and how to navigate the... the dataverse... I can remember how the gates work and a few other things, but I can't seem to recall how I got any of my contacts, or when I arrived here the first time, nor what I've done in the time between I first created a message on this site and now. If anyone might be able to explain that to me I would be rather greatful. However... from what I have read that isn't quite very useful. I'm afraid the memory of my dataverse device was wiped when it reformed with me and left only contact addresses behind. A search through the dataverse upon the title of a book I still had in my possession as well, is the only reason I was able to find this place. Based on the last message posted I get the feeling there was something I was supposed to be doing, however I cannot remember what. My apologies for this, and amy other inconveniences I may have caused prior to this Nealaphh Re: AntiOmni.org - Rin Takao - 12-18-2015 What is this a rebellion, a warning or a protest? I am up for a rebellion if you wanna find me in this Coruscant place! |
