In some ways though, a less-well-written character is good for an RPG, because it allows you to fill in the blanks and tell the story yourself. With a complete character, there's nothing to do 
Granted, if I was going to join as a villain it'd be Enel from One Piece, just because the appeal of writing as someone who literally believes he is God (and has some crazy awesome powers) would be very fun. Also because I love lightning. Shut up.
