I plan to get go in, and I'm working towards increasing my stats, but what else can I do to better my chances of winning?

I will need to refresh myself on Doomguy before this goes down. I read some of your earliest work and very little since then (i apologize).

I think that, depending on how well you adapt and how your roll with your strategy, you could genuinely be a giant X factor. As probably the only person with a first-person perspective (the only person ever, if you count the old canon of DA), I can already say I'll be looking forward to Doomguy's perspective.

I feel like you'll probably be one of the violent types who hunts for foes? Definitely do that if you have the Starting Weapon to do so. Even if you get bloodied, I feel like that will only give you more to write with as your story progresses.
