Bored, bored, bored, bored, bored.
She clicked what was left of her chewed nails as she walked, just to keep any part of herself moving. They were a piece of physical, tangible stimulus to keep her sane in the white void.
Well, as sane as she got. That was to say, not at all.
It was so like her gloomy self to choose somewhere so dark and miserable to spend her days. So like her to run for the comfortable, the familiar. But what was the fun in that? She had been gifted with this whole new world to explore, and she wanted to waste it sitting around crying in a run down motel room? Sure, maybe the other "Touko" lived like that, but she had other plans.
And that was why the moment she'd found herself back in the drivers seat, Genocider had asked for one way tickets to "anywhere but fuckin' here!" and turned her ass back around to the Nexus.
Not that this was much better.
It was only natural that as she approached, her eyes were drawn to the only visible landmark of the Fountain of Infinity- and the brawl unfolding nearby.
To the great beacon of manic insanity that led the fighters on.
She stopped clicking her fingernails. Reached to the holster on her thigh, under her skirt. Still full. Pulled a pair of scissors from it, spinning them around one finger.
Picked up her pace.
A crazy moth to a crazy flame.
But by the time she was within true eye shot of the conflict, she found the hellfire irritatingly gone. Barely a hit, and the violence addict was already craving more. The other two women were merely standing around baffled- perhaps also searching for the vanishing source? The archer spotted Fukawa first and glanced at her from the corner of her eye, but it was the cloudy inhuman one who immediately put herself in a defensive position when she met the newcomer's gaze.
"And who are you supposed to be?"
"Bored and criminally insane!" Came the serial killer's singsong response.
As the thrown pair of scissors glinted inches wide of her eye, Sunshine determined she had been completely justified in her reaction.
But as she turned her attention fully to her new foe- the clown's ally?- the blast of hellfire struck them both.
Searing pain raced through Genocider's limbs like electricity, her knees weakening underneath her, but still barely holding her weight as she sagged. Her limited focus was torn from the other battlers as it now landed on the reappearing miniature clown girl, decked out in more american flag than a drunk white deadbeat on the Fourth of July, complete with a set of translucent fairy wings. Just as this scorching flame washed over her body, so, too, did that strange emotion she always held deep in her heart. Some perverse amalgamation of rage, resentment, and yet also exhilaration. Like she'd somehow been dying to fight this battle.
She leapt out of the flame and clear over the battle, landing easily on the very tip of the Fountain of Infinity. With a flick of her wrists, she managed to produce two more pairs of scissors from under her skirt, two in each hand- spinning the ones in her left around her finger like one would a pocket knife. Despite the burning pain that still somehow consumed her despite no longer being within the blast, the smile had not left her face- her tongue curling up just at the end with intrigue. Almost as if she was posing to deliver her speech.
"Welllll, don't take it personally, but I don't normally get out of bed for anything less than a couple of genuine hotties when it comes to games like this! Too many variables to account for and all, witnesses, out in the open, no escape route... Just not my usual MO. But right now I'm just frustrated enough to bite, y'know? So for today's special, I'll indulge you and play along!"
Her grand statement was punctuated by a wicked, maniacal laugh- and her twin pairs of scissors being flung at the redhead and the cloud woman as she leapt back down from her perch, pulling out another pair with her right hand all the while.
Ah, a break from the usual was fun every so often, wasn't it?
Her outstretched feet slammed into the hell fairy's center of gravity, bearing all her weight and momentum- sending the both of them into a tumbling heap of limbs, confusion and fury onto the Nexus's papery white ground.
A crimson blood spatter from one or the other sprouted on that canvas as Clownpiece struggled her way to the brawl's top.
