Wing It? Or Must outline?

sometimes i do, sometimes i don't. In the case of what I'm writing right now, i do have a general idea of how i want to become a part of the bigger plot, or at least how I'll get to cinnabar, but I haven't got an entire written down outline. on singular posts though sometimes if i'm having trouble i'll write down what i want to happen with as little flavor as i can to get all my thoughts down quickly, then go through it again but make it more descriptive and... well, good.
