Wing It? Or Must outline?

I do a mixture. I usually have a rough idea of what I want to 'get done' with a certain post - especially if I am roleplaying with a partner - then I just write what comes naturally and eventually make it to what I consider to be my cut-off point for the next person in the post order to continue. Sometimes my posts end up being much longer than I intend doing this, but sometimes they are far shorter than I think they will be as well.
