Switching: Pyrrha Nikos > Yang Xiao Long
#6
@Yang:
Quote:Semblance - Tier One Power-Up
requires Yang's Aura(depleted upon use), Physical Strength
Cost (1000)

Yang gets angry! When enraged enough, Yang activates her semblance, instantly dropping her defensive aura to gain a strength advantage. (Aura must be recharged after use as it will be completely consumed until so). Her eyes turn red and her hair seems to mock flames while this is active.

Atk: +2
Def: 0
Spd: +2
Tec: +1

This is approved, but you'll have to wait until you reach level 2 to get it. (Go ahead and link this post in your log when you want to get it).

A constantly defensive barrier of manifested willpower. This ‘barrier’ protects it’s ‘wearer’ from direct damage in their stead. It is shown to be relatively weak but can recharge over time if they don’t take damage over sometime. Yang’s aura is shown to be one of the toughest in the series, rarely depleting, but has a slower regeneration than a normal hunter. The amazing feature of Yang’s aura comes from her semblance, as all semblances consume aura. Yang’s semblance seems to be reversed compared to others. Instead of using aura to activate a semblance, Yang’s semblance activates the more her aura is depleted, gradually gaining more power as she sustains more damage.(This is flavor unless used with a power-up) Even still, an aura can protect from cuts and bruises while active. The aura is strong enough to take ten hits from normal attacks(Equal to her defense) before depleting. While the aura is active, Yang cannot concentrate on other techniques that would require such attention(like using her semblance). Aura begins to recharge after ten seconds of not sustaining damage, but it recharges slowly. It takes ten minutes to recharge from fully being depleted, and cannot extend past the user’s body at all.

Firstly, I'm sorry for not noticing this sooner, but a body-wide shield will require area defence (unless Yang is under 3ft tall).
I have a comment about the bolded section because it makes it look like while her aura is charged she can't use any concentration-demanding techniques. That's fine, but it limits her to basic attacks. I think it would probably be better for you if she only needed to concentrate on her aura when using it to block stuff (and not just when it's turned on but not actually doing anything). How would these work for potential rewrites? I've made additional edits with the second one to allow you to use it without area defence (and the second is actually a bit stronger because of the smaller protection area) but it won't help you with explosions.
(if you want either of these, consider them approved, if not, just make the changes you want/need and I'll take a look)

Yang needs to concentrate on her aura to benefit from it, regardless of the charge. After initially focusing on it, it takes a fraction of a second to take effect (about as long as it would take to quickly raise an arm a foot or two). So, while actively using it she can't concentrate on other techniques that would require such attention (like using her semblance) but can still use basic moves and attacks and move as normal. Her aura is able to protect her from cuts and bruises, but stronger strikes are able to temporarily punch through without depleting her aura (but will be a bit weakened). Typically, she can only take about ten solid hits from normal attacks (from people with an ATK equal to her DEF) before it breaks. While Aura takes no energy to maintain, Yang suffers a small amount of fatigue each time it's hit. Aura begins to recharge after ten seconds of not sustaining damage, but it recharges slowly. It takes ten minutes to recharge from fully being depleted, completely surrounds Yang, and cannot extend past the user’s body at all.

RP Note: When not concentrating on any other moves, it is assumed Yang is concentrating on this.

To use her aura, Yang needs to focus it towards an area of her body (e.g. her back, an arm, her head, etc. - no larger that a 2ft diameter circle in size). This takes a fraction of a second to take effect (about as long as it would take to quickly raise an arm a foot or two). So, while actively using it she can't concentrate on other techniques that would require such attention (like using her semblance) but can still use basic moves and attacks and move as normal. Her aura is able to protect her from cuts, bruises and most basic attacks, but stronger strikes are able to temporarily punch through (but will be a bit weakened). Typically, she can only take about fifteen solid hits from normal attacks (from people with an ATK equal to her DEF) before it breaks. While Aura takes no energy to maintain, Yang suffers a small amount of fatigue each time it's hit. Aura begins to recharge after ten seconds of not sustaining damage, but it recharges slowly.
