@Croc - Ah, okay then. I've not actually read the DA threads, so I hadn't realised that.
I still don't plan on including level as an advantage when I make judgements, though... since the FAQ clearly states that the only advantage it should give is in SP.

Q8: Does levelling up make me stronger in general?
A: No. It will increase your maximum SP, which allows you to use more super moves and transformations. However, it won't make your regular, un-transformed attacks more powerful, for example. In the Omniverse, we start you out pretty powerful and keep the power curve manageable so that you always have a chance even against veteran characters. As such, increasing your base stats is expensive.
