I like the idea that her Scythe can be summoned and dismissed, and I almost wonder if the magical energy she invests in manifesting it could be reabsorbed and diverted to other moves, sort of like an emergency backup charge.
The move I'm visualizing in my head is disintegrating the scythe if someone seems like they're going to overwhelm her and using it to overcharge her telekinetic shove attack. Something like that. If you yourself don't want to move, move your opponent.
Your other option is to start investing in Assists, which any aspiring badass really needs. These could be simple things like golems, but could also be wacky fun things like flying hellscythes, black fire ghosts, or literally just a giant fuck-off wall that acts as a bouncer for Ebony if someone tries to get close. A really fun option might be for Ebony to get a familiar that can act as an auxiliary firing platform for her magical attacks, i.e., a cat that can sneak around to flank an opponent that can fire a metamagic spell which Ebony channels to it.
Even just the act of giving an enemy more than one target to worry about will go a long way towards keeping you high and dry.
