I'm not sure I can rank my favorites, but I'll list the ones that have made the biggest impressions on me.
Dark Souls 2 -
Specifically 2. The first was still a little rough around the edges, and the third was just waaaayy over the top. 2 has the best atmosphere of the series, as well as the most sensible difficulty curve.
Kairo -
A first-person puzzle/exploration game that drops you into an alternate dimension with zero explanation or context. Sublime.
Stellaris -
Pretty much the epitome of grand strategy in space. The expansions allow you to fine tune your space civ down to the tiniest element.
WWII Online -
My preferred title for when I'm feeling violent. It is brutally difficult, in the most realistic way, and allows for naval, armor, air and infantry combined ops across the entire european theatre.
Star Conflict -
SPACE FLIGHT FIGHTER LASERS ZIP ZOOM KABOOM!!
Everything -
Literally the title of the game. An existential sandbox transcendental existence simulator that espouses many of my most closely held philosophies.
Doki Doki Literature Club! -
Looks like a dating simulator on the surface, but is actually one of the most jarring psychological horror games I've witnessed. I won't spoil any more.
