It felt as though he had been traveling for hours. With nothing to to gauge distance with but the ever looming portal up ahead he had no real way of knowing how much time had passed. He thought back again to the child like Omni that had spoken to him before. It had given him a lot of information, but at the same time, hadn’t given him any at all. Frustration swelled in the ninja as he looked around him. The fountain was but a speck on the horizon and if the shinobi had to guess, he was halfway between it and the gate he had chosen to venture towards.
Anything I want...a horse would be useful right about now. He stuck his arms out about shoulder width apart and again a brilliant ball of color formed under his outstretched palms, this one exponentially bigger than the one he had formed to make the yellow duck that now resided in the pouch on his belt. He concentrated hard on the now morphing ball of color, trying his best to picture a horse in his mind. What if it's white...that would look awful in this place. How fast will it travel, do I need to picture a saddle on top of it as well?
His thoughts seemed to cloud the idea of the horse from his mind and with that, the colorful ball of Omnilium vanished seemingly being absorbed back into the ninja. Ryu sighed, letting his arms fall back to his side. Apparently too much concentration away from the summoning seemed to have halted its progress. Fine, we’ll play this game. He extended his arms once again, this time very clearly reciting what he wanted to himself. Brown horse with a saddle, brown horse with a saddle, brown horse with a saddle. The ball of Omnilium formed once again coalescing into a sphere once more. The ninja stood motionless, arms outstretched deep in thought of what he wanted. Maybe this was standard practice around here, but he still couldn’t help but feel silly as he tried it.
Double the amount of time had passed since and again, a faint pop was heard and his colt stood in front of him. Its Bay colored coat brilliantly offsetting the white that surrounded him. Sure enough, a saddle lay upon the horse’s back and Ryu wasted little time mounting his newly made steed. Clutching the reins, he gave his new friend a quick firm nudging of the side with his foot and he was off. The colt shot out as if a starting gun had gone off. It quickly gained speed and soon they were speeding towards the enclosing gate.
Holy shit...This beast can really move, was all that could come to mind as he began to make out the smooth steel of the gate that now loomed off in the distance. What had taken him all that time to do was completed in a fraction of the time on horseback. The ninja let a grin wash over his face as he tugged on the reins and the horse began to turn north. Might as well see what this entire place has to offer before going through anything.
