A new beginning - Ryu Hayabusa - 11-06-2017

“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”

The darkness around Ryu lifted into a brilliant blinding white, Tears streamed down the shinobi’s face as he adjusted to the new brightness that surrounded him. What had happened? Where was he? The questions flooded his mind faster than he could answer them. The Omniverse...that’s what the being had said right? The ninja ran his hands over his body. It appeared he had his armor, as well as his throwing knives and katana, the Dragon Sword. He sighed at that much, at least he wasn’t brought into a new world without his weapons. The being had also mentioned something about Omnilium, and with it, anything Ryu desired could be his. I’ll be the judge of that.

Staring ahead at the fountain that lay before him Ryu placed his hands in front of him, his first two fingers and thumb touching to make a circle before his body. He stood still, concentrating, thinking of an item that he wanted in his hand. A shimmering ball of color contrasting brilliantly with the white around him formed within the circle huh...so maybe he was telling the truth. The ninja continued to concentrate, his brow contorting as he continued to keep his mind and thoughts on the task he was performing. Had anyone around bothered to look the might have laughed at the strain Ryu was showing as he continued to form the object between his hands. He was struggling, that was for sure, but with something new, how could he be expected to master it right off the bat?

The process was tiresome for the warrior, he had never before pulled something out of nothing, was it going to be like this always? It couldn’t be, he thought as his hands started to vibrate. Was this a sign that the conjuring was almost complete? A light pop sounded and he looked down, a small, yellow rubbery ducky now lay within his hands. Why he had chosen a bath toy as his first conjuring he might never truly understand, but at least now he knew that at least part of what Omni had told him was true, yet the thought of why still lingered.

“This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it.

The shinobi wanted answers. Part of that statement he looked back on made sense. The master of the Dragon Sword, vanquisher of Smaugan the Fire Dragon, sure those made Ryu interesting, but what gave this Omni the right to just take him from his home and bring him here? Why was he chosen, and who else had been? He remembered back again, “”You are not alone in the Omniverse...” So obviously more were here. Did they have the same burning questions as Ryu? Have they been able to confront this Omni and ask more questions? He had to find out.

As he took in his new surroundings he noticed 8 gates lining the circumference of the room. The fountain he stood at in the center. Figuring he would get no answers just standing around the ninja made his way west, towards one of the gates in the distance, maybe there he would find some answers.

RE: A new beginning - Ryu Hayabusa - 11-07-2017

It felt as though he had been traveling for hours.  With nothing to to gauge distance with but the ever looming portal up ahead he had no real way of knowing how much time had passed. He thought back again to the child like Omni that had spoken to him before. It had given him a lot of information, but at the same time, hadn’t given him any at all. Frustration swelled in the ninja as he looked around him. The fountain was but a speck on the horizon and if the shinobi had to guess, he was halfway between it and the gate he had chosen to venture towards.

Anything I want...a horse would be useful right about now. He stuck his arms out about shoulder width apart and again a brilliant ball of color formed under his outstretched palms, this one exponentially bigger than the one he had formed to make the yellow duck that now resided in the pouch on his belt. He concentrated hard on the now morphing ball of color, trying his best to picture a horse in his mind. What if it's white...that would look awful in this place. How fast will it travel, do I need to picture a saddle on top of it as well?

His thoughts seemed to cloud the idea of the horse from his mind and with that, the colorful ball of Omnilium vanished seemingly being absorbed back into the ninja. Ryu sighed, letting his arms fall back to his side. Apparently too much concentration away from the summoning seemed to have halted its progress. Fine, we’ll play this game. He extended his arms once again, this time very clearly reciting what he wanted to himself. Brown horse with a saddle, brown horse with a saddle, brown horse with a saddle. The ball of Omnilium formed once again coalescing into a sphere once more. The ninja stood motionless, arms outstretched deep in thought of what he wanted. Maybe this was standard practice around here, but he still couldn’t help but feel silly as he tried it.

Double the amount of time had passed since and again, a faint pop was heard and his colt stood in front of him. Its Bay colored coat brilliantly offsetting the white that surrounded him. Sure enough, a saddle lay upon the horse’s back and Ryu wasted little time mounting his newly made steed. Clutching the reins, he gave his new friend a quick firm nudging of the side with his foot and he was off. The colt shot out as if a starting gun had gone off. It quickly gained speed and soon they were speeding towards the enclosing gate.

Holy shit...This beast can really move, was all that could come to mind as he began to make out the smooth steel of the gate that now loomed off in the distance. What had taken him all that time to do was completed in a fraction of the time on horseback. The ninja let a grin wash over his face as he tugged on the reins and the horse began to turn north. Might as well see what this entire place has to offer before going through anything.

RE: A new beginning - Ryu Hayabusa - 11-08-2017

A half hour had passed and Ryu found himself once again in front of the clean steel gate. Two guards stood outside the gate, each in clean white battle armor, helmet included. They each held what looked to be a rifle, however, it was far more advanced than anything the ninja had seen before. He had seen eight gates in total, ranging from steel to roots and vines, one that he could feel the heat radiating off of as he passed it, to a snowy one. Each of them at least double Ryu’s height and equally as wide. Each with a purple colored, what looked like gel filling the inside between the posts. He still felt as though there were many questions to be answered, but knew with very few souls around, he wouldn’t get what he wanted from this place. He spurred the horse on again, this time reigning it in before it got to full speed, he wanted to think as he rode, and going full speed made the trip to fast. Still traveling in a clockwise motion he came across a gate of stone that was old. Worn and eroded, he passed it, it didn’t look like something he wanted to investigate, at least not right now.

Next, he came across a smoking gate, the one that he could feel radiating heat. That didn’t seem like fun either, no, he definitely wouldn’t be traversing to that verse either, he enjoyed a much more temperate climate than that. Up next, vines and bark twisted and contorted themselves around one another to form the gate. This place looked fine to the ninja, it gave him a sense of nostalgia, though the shinobi couldn’t place his finger on where the feeling was from. Was it some form of childhood memory, maybe from something more recent, he couldn’t remember, and it bugged him. He continued on, still trying to reach back into his memories, but it didn’t help. Ryu vowed to try and worked it out, but answers came first.

The next stop on his grand tour of the white room was an archway made of clean stone, cut and shaped to form the archway. As he passed two being emerged from the gate, spars held at their sides, clad in armor. The ninja noted this to himself as he continued finding himself next in front of some gray stone, with moss growing around and on it. He studied the moss for a moment, noting how it clung to the steps and stones of the archway, however, died seemingly immediately once it reached past the boundary of the gate. Curious. It appeared that each gate contained something new, something different from all the others, yet their power ended at the gate. Why? What was keeping them each from corrupting this place? He continued another question that would need answering, another reason to get this journey over with as soon as he could and start to find the answers he was looking for.

Next, he found himself in front of a gate made purely of ice and snow. A faint chill could be felt as he rode past, again, the question of how that could survive in a room much warmer than snow and ice, but he lumped it up with the desire to understand the moss and moved on. One his “trip around the world” his next stop he was met with two bending palm trees, meeting in the middle above the gate. This, along with the two made of stone and steel, and the one of bark and vines seemed like the most natural for Ryu to explore first. If what Omni had said was true, and the ninja didn’t have to worry about dying, then there would be plenty of time to explore each and every one of these gates. For now, at least, Ryu decided to stick with something easy, something he might have a better shot or understanding
