Alphys appeared at the front gates of Pokute Palace, a smile a mile wide on her face. She would gladly leave behind her work for this. She was in for a day of romance, fun, and whatever else Undyne had up her sleeves. She knew for certain that nothing could bring her down today! She whipped out her cell phone and set to track her fish lover, hoping to surprise her with a visit.
But her intentions were quickly interrupted by the chime of another e-mail. She figured it was Jarvis, coming up with a follow up question. Boy she wished it was that simple.
After a long chain of emails, she found herself hunkered down at a local ice cream parlor. Years of memories had flooded back to her over the course of ten to fifteen minutes. Slowly, the empty spot in her life that had been filled with lies, now rebuilt themselves into a cohesive whole.
It was true, she was an apprentice. Her master, Dr. W.D. Gaster, was the genius who built the core. He taught her everything he knew. He was also ever so hard on her. She looked over the chain again, it perfectly encapsulated the nature of their relationship.
She sighed heavily. She needed Undyne more than ever now. Then she remembered her promise to Gaster.
She sent the email off, hoping it’ll reach her love’s attention soon.
But as she tapped out of the mail app, it automatically went back to the last app she had open. The tracking app immediately pulled up a number of her previous encounters and their general direction. One arrow, labeled “Undyne” caught her attention. The arrow was pointing directly at the palace.
“Is she at the healing pond again?” Alphys questioned. It made sense. That fish was never one to be careful. But what caught her attention more was the second arrow pointing at the same general direction. “Sans?”
