Ash, I think you have Tsundere confused for Sadism. She doesn't intentionally hurt people, (unless they're into that) she's just a little stubborn and doesn't like to admit her feelings right out of the gate, because she's not totally in touch with her own romantic side. She just happens to be threatening about it because she's strong already, and it's her job to scare humans. (A job she is reportedly very lazy about doing.)
I guess it could be simplified to "playing hard to get," which again, your milage may vary on if that's attractive or not.
