Instead he braced for the attack, taking the entire brunt of the strike on his chest. His clavicle snapped and his ribs cracked, but he stood defiantly. Such a blow would slay a man, but Strazio was no man. No, he was the personification of pure rage, an avatar of anger. Strazio’s skin started to peel away, revealing a bright white figure underneath. His eyes filled with black and yellow.

The avatar’s grin disappeared and he spoke “you think you know rage?”

A roiling blast of destructive energy slammed into Gamzee’s chest sending him skidding away. Strazio’s body had been consumed by the burning energy. Every pain nerve flared to life and the mage gritted his teeth in acceptance of the agony. His hatred and fury far outweighed the pain of broken bones and bruised organs.

“You don’t know rage, you’re just a tourist with a temper,” Strazio fired a bolt of searing white energy at the troll and shouted “I live here!”
