Ash came to a skittering stop but how little that helped, so she all but fell into Torn's back as he was already pushing to take the lead with Jak on the escape into the city. He did not look pleased to have the girl slam into his back despite helmet still on his face or the fact that he could probably pick her up one handed and throw her at someone for an improved attack. There were a million other things that deserved his attention than the scandalously dressed woman that was tagging along with Jak and others. A blur of orange fur ran up her arm and found his way to her shoulder, only for the floppy ears to fall back behind his goggles and both him and the girl he was riding took steps back so that they were behind the men. It was conveniently timed with Jak's grabbing of his own gun, so when the shots rang out with the iconic 'pew' she froze in place as to not warrant another 'warning' shot.
Daxter wasn't excited at all about taking on a hundred or so people all at once, she heard him groan that 'we're screwed' sound that she was all too used to. All her life Ash was surrounded by people who acted tough but never had the balls to do anything when the chips were on the table. It always ended with her showing them how it's done and then coming back to beat their faces in for making shit-stains in their frilly panties or just not talking to them all together even when they begged for her help. Jak and Daxter were different because she at least had a vague idea of what they were capable of, if only because everything else was adding up to what she remembered. So, while it was refreshing to see Jak get ready to fight it out, Ash couldn't help but notice something odd about all this.
"It's almost as if they are using distraction tactics.." She managed to voice her insight to Daxter before her blind looking eyes saw the only rank looking stormtrooper lift his hand and talk to some unseeable force. Moments later they heard something falling from the sky. Escaping the crushing pod that battered up the front yard was easy for a girl like Ash, even in heels. She was already out of the way by the time the other three knew what to do, Daxter was another furry blur already escaping to Jaks' side. She found herself tucked conveniently between three walls and while the concrete of the ground pelted the front door of the prison from the impact, breaking most of the front wall and revealing the bloody mess left in her wake. Her suspicions confirmed.
Had she had the time to tactically approach this job, had she realized how severely pissed off the Empire could get about touching their stuff, maybe this would have gone a little better than it was now. As it was though, the hulking blue armored figure was rolling out of his pod like a vampire out of a coffin ready to play with those pesky kids who came too close to his lair. With a commanding voice that vibrated against her sternum even from the hiding hole and left her panties a little wet, the Emperor's Mercy warned them that resistance is futile. A grin slid across her cheeks at the threats, it was almost like back at home.
Including that one guy who shit the bed, this time it was short, red, and metallic. He pointed at her when he got to her on his list, accusing her of using Daxter to get something from Jak. She faked looking hurt so good it was hard to forget that she looked like the personification of pure evil in most cultures. Her tail whipped like a ribbon in the breeze as she smiled across the way at the Dark Eco-Worrier and gave him a wink. "I just wanted to get his autograph." Her words were mostly honest. She had wanted more than just a signature from him, but nothing as menacing as the robutt was implying.
Then the metal midget who had bravely thrown himself over her turned tail and pointed at Jak, giving the other demonic looking figure a piece of his microchip before firmly stating he was not longer going to tag along like some lost puppy if all that was in the past was more gore and destruction of property. She thought about calling him out for being a coward, but she knew all too well that that was probably the best thing to do. Desman didn't come off as the typical robot you'd see in the movies, where they are always intelligent and always have a stick firmly shoved up their ass, but he did seem intelligent and capable of calculating risks. Ash didn't honestly think that was his reasons, as far as she could tell the AI running the character kept him cautious but good in nature.
The Storm Demon watched as Desman took a few steps away from them and then tried to offer his hands for cuffs of some sort, the big guy didn't seem at all amused with these antics. In the meanwhile though, she looked back at Jak. His anger-twisted face slowly melted into concern as he watched Desman give himself up, it didn't help that his friend's words were cutting clean through him and left the transformed figure standing a little less ready to attack. Ash watched as her ally cope with the guilt he was feeling in his heart about not able to help a friend so in need as Desman. She didn't find him any less attractive, but Ash has never been for sentimental crap. She didn't like most of the words on the 'emotion' list, but she's had her back on the world for a long time now.
While tattooed and scary struggled with the odds of this fight, the long eared albino lets his fists unclench as if he thought about giving himself up as well. He was just about to release his form and follow Des' example if only because he felt like he owed the guy something other than more stress when he saw something move out the corner of his eyes.
He watched in shock as Ash seemed to magically appear in front of the heavily armored man. In her right had the hook he'd watched her used to disembowel many troopers before and sparkling blue lightning in her left. Her speed was inhuman, then again she was a Prime and should be expected to be incredible, but the lack of fear in this Lilith's actions would become legendary at least in the eyes of those who watched helplessly by while she made a mockery of their lack of action. Ash's foot landed on the head of Desman's hardware, and her sparking hand reached for the face mask. Neon blue electricity danced across the dark blue power armor, but as expected the man under it all would only be told he was being attacked by her. He was not amused. "How depressing, it's not a mech." She said, her voice clear and free of emotion other than amusement, but she had not gone insane.
The next second she's jumped far into the air at an acute angle towards the office building - probably a law firm being so close to the prison - as if she might have flight this whole time and had just been holding back. She did not. The only wings she had were in her heart. Guessing more than aiming, Ash launched her grapple hook at the building's wall. It shattered a window which sounded like 'cha-ching' to her and more paperwork for the captain. Gravity was already in motion, trying to drag the demoness back to the earth where she belonged, only her hands were already caught in the hair of her hook's rope. Swinging into action once more the fire-squad turned their guns on her and began to try to solve the problem with as many shots as they needed to.
The felt the heat of the blasters brush past her as they weren't having any of her shit, but she only smiled at it. "Come get me hot-stuff!" She screamed, addressing the man in armor before she was too far from him, sticking her legs out to land on the side of the building. It's concrete to window ratio was laughable and the shots fired at her now risked damaging the building further. She kept moving, knowing full well if she stopped for any longer than a second she would look foolish in front of Jak and Daxter. Using a burst of speed she launched herself up the walls towards the broken office window her hook snagged, she could feel it was only barely holding on to the rollie chair it had gripped on its way back, but she was so damn light it probably didn't even know she was there. Once inside she had to think quickly. If she could focus their fire the other's might get away. Alternatively, if she could escape, at least she can claim she tried.
This left the three suspects with jaws open and unsure how to follow.. Jak shook his white mane to clear his thoughts and then turns to Torn. "Get out of here while you can!!" And then he turned to the battle a head of him. He had to make a choice... Did he run and let Ash take all of this heat on by herself? (Minor thought; was that her plan?) Or did he stand and fight with the sexy badass who was making him and his crew look like chumps?
