Dumped by Omni

I sit transfixed, gazing at the flat-screen TV pasted on the wall.  For three long hours I've been sitting in the vinyl backed couch of Moe's Doughs in Brooklyn. The crumbs of a dozen defeated donuts are scattered across my lap and table and I can't help but reminisce.  Back on the streets of Corsucant's 5th Tier, it would have been a dozen anime gangbangers that would have been iced, not the delicious Boston Cream pinched right now between my thumb and forefinger.

When I think on it though, I suppose times ain't so tough after all. Out here in the Big Apple, I got a pension, and if I keep walkin' the beat another 6 years I might actually be able to leave this dump and go fishing with a beer in my hand out in Canada until I die.  That don't sound so bad, and it sure beats rubbin' shoulders with all the costume clowns who was poppin' up on the Westside before I left.

Still, I can't help but sit their aghast, anxious and uneasy.  The TV's blaring out one terrible news piece after another, but the thing that still gets my goat, the one thing I can't believe, the most unimaginable, horrible and downright terrible thing to happen since I got dumped back out here by that Omni-guy... how the hell did the Warriors blow a 3-1 lead?!
