The scientist looked over at DesX, his daughter and then the table where the eco warrior was held down.

The man was still surprisingly resilient for the small dosages he was given. However, the positive outweighed the negative traits so far.

Genjuro looked over the file and looked over the facts on eco he had taken notes on. “Hm, this green eco appears to be healing and life granting.. That is fascinating... Green eco can be mixed however with other ecos. “

This eco seems to chunk in energy form when it was set in boxes. Interesting indeed. It took on its own form as it absorbed into Jak and disappeared from sight.

This much was clear, that energy around Jak tended to equal dangerous problems for the man in general. Could his robots handle the eco warrior if times got extremely rough?

A message popped up on the screen nearest Genjaro as it reported something was happening nearby.

The lab wasn’t equipped with a window persay but a computer screen slid down as it showed the problem close up.

A dark creature of some sort was terrorizing the stormtroopers guarding the lab as they started to shoot the small black beast.

“Pew PEW pew…”

STOP!

Then what happened turned weird. The darkling took over the stormtrooper and faced the other one.

“Hey man! You ok?”

The man’s face appeared to be darkened and just stood there very oddly. A piercing glow was on his face as the stormtrooper aimed at the other one.”

“Come on Joe! Respond! “You aren’t this way, man come on!”

As the helmet came off, a sickening glow showed on the man’s face as he was no longer in control of his emotions.

“HEY- Sto- espc..busssssssssssh”

The screen blanked out as he eyed the eco warrior on his table. This was the perfect time for Jak to test his mettle on this trouble.

The knife-eared man laid there, eyes narrowed and staring as he appeared to be still fighting off the unknown virus.

Drones surrounded the man as Genjaro gave the drones a few monitor nanobots and the drones bent down and stuck them on Jak’s vitals.

“Now, be careful out there, Jak… there are… other creatures out there, and they seem to be infecting primes and the like..

“A Dr. Regal requests your presence and since you like doing hero work and fighting, I figured this might be the perfect opportunity.”

Jak’s restraints were loosened and he stretched “This is my test, do I have to come back?”

The scientist wrote more down on a pad “If you want to see Results, yes.”

Jak turned and heard the screams. “What was that?!”

“That must be those infected trying to get in.. Hurry, if you can get out in time and later if you return, I’ll personally return your friend.”

“You aren’t lying?”

“I promise.”

Jak without a second nod, let loose and was out the lab and heading toward the glass doors as they slid open.

Freedom was a sweet word.

At least Temporary freedom so to speak.
