If I were to create an artefact I'd go with the Muur Talisman. It would grant the holder Foresight and have the ability to summon rakghouls to fight for you at will.

I think there's a key difference, though. You can't normally summon an artefact. The only reason why you were able to create one is thanks to the Essence of Omni you received as a reward from DA.
Likewise, just like how you can't simply summon an artefact at your leisure, so too you can't simply disintegrate the artefact into OM. Think of an artefact as being similar to the One Ring from Lord of the Rings; it can't be destroyed by any regular means. It required special material in order to craft it. It would take an equally special method to dispose of it. In any case, I have to agree with Dreamer. This thread is meant for brainstorming artefact ideas. Let's not derail it any further.

Trixie Wrote:Proto Mouse Wrote:The Subtle Knife (from His Dark Materials) - Allows the user to create (and also seal) openings between verses. I agree with this. Although I am probably the last person who should give input on this site's goings-on, I still feel that being able to do something like this is kind of lame. Artefacts aren't given lightly, and have special and unique uses and shouldn't be so easily destroyed for some quick OM. If they can be so easily destroyed, then what's really the point of giving them out instead of outright OM? Artefacts are meant to be unique and very rare, and difficult to obtain, and shouldn't be destroyed just for some currency. Just my opinion. ![]()

Vector's Headphones
By deafening the wearer, they may prevent the effects of any one debuff for as long as they are worn and active.

Once again, i think any further discussion should be taken to the appropriate thread as to not clutter this one or create a less than fun environment like this was created to be.

Sorry, didn't mean to derail this topic.
I see everyone's points, but in truth, it would be nice to remove a couple of targets off my back without having to surrender my rewards. That's really my motivation for asking about it. Okay, back on topic: Mana Potion: gives the user 3 sp. OOC 3 day cooldown. edit: Before I made the Sword of Kusanagi, I almost went with this ^^^^ Dante's Abyss 2015

New Artifact; The proverbial barrel of monkeys: One use per IC week. How fun exactly is a barrel of monkeys? Why does everyone keep comparing things to them? Let's find out! A small pocket sized Barrel that grows to an average sized one when activated. When opened it jettisons roughly 99 monkeys (Who may or may not have been jumping on a bed) that swarm the room causing chaos for everything except the owner. Possibly not useful in combat, but man will it ever liven up those boring Prime parties, or be used as a distraction for the sneakiest of sneak thieves. I'm looking at you Demetri! Give your friends in the Omniverse plenty of stories to tell about that "One time when..." ((What? You said this thread was supposed to be fun, you never said I had to be serious!)) Lazarus Water:
Water from the Lazarus Pit. Instantly recovers from wounds. Can only be used once every 2 weeks OoC. Originally, the effect is strong, and it heals 4 HP worth of wounds. After 10 uses, the effect starts to weaken for the Prime using it. Then, the healing becomes 2 HP worth of wounds. After 25 uses, it weakens to a near-useless point. Healing becomes 1 HP worth of wounds. At 50 uses, it's effect on the Prime using it is gone entirely. Hopefully, if this is added, Lazarus Water will be obtainable from a quest involving the Lazarus Pit. Possibly, it also involves the League of Assassins.

Something that was talked about in the minichat earlier, putting it down here.
Stand Arrow A simple arrow, as might be fired from any bow, at least in terms of appearance. By stabbing yourself with this plain-looking implement, you will suffer a Major injury, but you will unlock a Stand that will function as a Tier 2 Assist for the remainder of your current fight. After the fight ends the Stand will fade away in a matter of minutes. Once used, this artefact loses its power for several days (IC and OOC) and must recharge before being used. Naturally, if you are already in extremely poor condition (meaning less than at least 8 points of damage, as in you've survived a few fights back to back) you cannot make use of this artefact. Another idea that I mentioned but reworked slightly. Hero Water A vial of water that seems to bear no special properties. Upon drinking the water, however, the drinker will experience a massive surge of energy. For the duration or remainder of one fight the drinker is currently involved in, they will have limitless SP at their disposal, but at the end of the fight they will, without fail, drop dead, even if they are the victor of the fight. And another idea that just came to mind. The Nail of Helena A large nail that, when impaled into a user, will grant them immense power. As long as the nail is embedded within their body, they will be covered in thorny vines and gain a +2 to their ATK and SPD attributes as well as benefits of the Survival and Advanced Regeneration powers, at a cost of 2 SP per post -- or 4 SP per round. If the Nail is forcibly removed by an opponent, the user will suffer a Serious Injury and lose the powers granted by the Nail. After being used, the Nail loses its powers and must recharge for several days (IC and OOC). ![]()

Hook of Marethyu
(From the Secrets of the immortal Nicholas Flemel) This flat hook of stone can be used to create your own Verse or 'leygate', which can teleport you from any verse to a specific spot to another, but when you use it the hook replaces your dominant hand for the cool down. The cool downs are: 1 month OOC and IC for creating a Verse, 3 days OOC and IC for a leygate.

Since this is just for fun, I'm going to go ahead and stick the Genesis Frog in here, because Demetri mentioned it in the chat and for some reason it hadn't occurred to me. It creates a new Verse based upon your character's home world or something whack like that. :frog:
