Bright sunlight forced Eric to close his eyes. A moment ago he was in a white room entering a portal and the next he fell a fresh breeze grazing his cheek as he attempts to pry his eyes open. Holding his hand towards the source of the bright light he can finally let his pupils adjust to place the portal brought him. This was not what he expected. A wide green field of grass and trees surround him, the bluest sky above him and the fresh air that fills his lungs is unrivaled. For just a single moment his mind was clear of questions, he felt at peace. It didn't last for long as reality cannot be forgotten. He was still in a strange world with allot of questions he didn't have the answers to.
In the distance he noticed a town, but it wasn't a town he was used to. The architecture was old, even for his taste. The road leading up to the town was nothing but a hardened dirt road. Along the road there was a man pulling forth a cart, the cart was filled with baskets and cloth, seemingly a merchant. Everything looked so ordinary and peaceful. Peace, a word he hadn't spoken for so long he almost forgot it's meaning. Another deep breath fills his lungs as he is planning his next move.
' I can't lose focus now, this might as well be another trick. Before anything else I will need information. But... I cannot walk around looking like this, I stand out too much to properly gather the intelligence I require. Let us fix that problem first'
Eric used his newly found gift and created some clothing which he thought would be suitable. A dark brown ragged looking coat op top of a slightly lighter brown pants covered his slightly unusual outfit. He wanted to look like the merchant he saw a moment ago, but not too wealthy. The cowl got pulled up and covered his grey hair and part of his face. Best for now no one recognizes him. He turned around as, looked at the gate one more time as if he tried to remember it and then started walking towards the only road he could see.
Following the road Eric took in the surroundings, taking in as much detail as he could. But what a strange place this was indeed. Creatures he never seen before flew over his head as they made noises that were strange to his ears. All of this unknowing made him uncomfortable and he picked up the pace. It didn't take him long before he noticed a single farm like house near the road. It didn't look like much but there must be people living there. Approaching the house at a slow pace but he kept his guard up. One can never know what to expect behind closed doors, especially in a place like this. He finally reached the front door and knocked twice. 'Hello ? Is there anyone here ?' It stayed quiet inside. Two more knocks followed but this time a bit louder, but again he got no answer.
After having no luck at the door Eric went to one of the windows to take a look inside. Inside he didn't see anything special nor suspicious, A table with a couple of chairs, a fireplace, some pots and pans in the kitchen, it seemed all fairly simple and plain. But as he suspected there was no one inside. It was no use to stay here, perhaps he should continue on to the town, and he turned around towards where he came from. 'Hello mister, who are you ? are you looking for father ?' In front of Eric there was a young boy with a couple of logs in his arms looking at the hooded man with an innocent look on his face.
Eric clears his throat before speaking ' Hello there young man, actually I do not know your father, I'm a traveler and I recently arrived here. I just came to see if someone lived here'
' Oh a traveler ! Where do you come from ? did you travel through the gate ? what verses have you visited ? Are you a Prime ?' The boy asked many questions Eric did not know the answer to, hell he didn't even know what half the questions meant.
'You ask many questions for such a young age, wouldn't you first offer a weary traveler a beverage and some shelter ?' The warmth his tone of voice brought made the young man feel comfortable enough to open up his father's house to the stranger. ' Of course Sir, please come in. I'm sure my father will return shortly. We don't have much to offer but would you like a drink ?' The boy was very polite towards Eric and for a moment he saw a bit of Pietro, his own son, in his underage host. 'I would love a drink' The visitor said as he sat down, he was observing the home he was invited into. It did not look like much, some wooden furniture, a fireplace, a few windows but no technology he was used to. Has he gone back in time he wondered. ' So...what's your name ?' He casually asks as he accepts a cup filled with water from the boy. ' My name is Ley , what's your name sir ?' he quickly responded.
'Pleased to meet you Ley. You can call me Eric. So tell me Ley, where are we ? what is this place called ?'
'You are in Camelot Si-...Eric. Under the protection and ruled by the mighty Prime King Aragorn.'
'Camelot you say ?' The older man sounded sincerely surprised. Camelot was a place of ancient stories, or so he thought. But according to his half vanished memories it was ruled by King Arthur. ' Well I didn't expect to arrive in a place like Camelot. Ruled by the mighty prime king Aragorn, this might sound like a strange question but, what is a prime exactly ?'
Ley stopped what he was doing for a moment and turned to the stranger, looking at him as if he was an idiot. ' What is a Prime ? Primes are summoned here by the great Omni himself, they were chosen to live here forever in the Omniverse and have great powers given to them by Omni. He allows them to use Omnilium to create things and even summon people like myself. We are known in the Omniverse as secondary's. Unlike secondary's, primes will always come back after they die. Even the bad ones. Not all of them are bad though, king Aragorn is a great prime and protects us and everyone in his lands. He has done for as long as I can remember.' They boy kept rambling on about how he admired primes and how great they were, wishing he was one himself. The words the boy spoke reached Eric's ears perfectly, things started to become clear.
'I was chosen.....Magneto, leader of the brotherhood of mutants was chosen to be a prime in this universe. But why would a creature like Omni bring me here, to what purpose ?' Magneto thoughts were wondering. His thoughts were interrupted by a door slamming open behind him. It startled him for a second and he turned his head. In the doorpost there was a large man, he had a full dark beard and a scar over his right eye, his clothes showing wet spots, possibly caused by sweat, carrying an axe which was leaning on his shoulder. He did not look happy when he saw a stranger sitting at his table.
' Who are you ? What are you doing in my house ?' The bearded man asked with a deep and unfriendly tone of voice. Ley turned around and ran towards him, seemingly happy to see him 'Welcome home father, we have a visitor. He is new here, a traveler. I think he might even be a prime! Isn't that exciting father ?'. Again the enthusiasm of the boy took the better of him, but his father did not seem to happy about it, his eyes were focused on Eric sitting in his house, ignoring his son's words. Or so it seems.
'I think its best you leave now stranger.' Was the only response he gave. Ley seemed disappointed by these words and looked at Eric with some sadness in his eyes. It was obvious he felt let down by his father's words.
Eric got up slowly, emptied his cup and started walking towards the pair. His blue eyes locked with the bearded man's. 'You should be wise to mind your tone against strangers, especially when they are guest in your own home.' He then passed the house's owner, but as he passed he heard the following dreaded words he has heard many times before. 'We don't want your kind here' The deep voice said. Eric stopped within the doorpost and turned his head. 'What did you say?' His voice sounded threatening, calm with a hint of anger.' Choose your next words very carefully Human'
The father lifted his axe from his shoulder in a threatening way . ' You heard me, leave this place. We don't want anything to do with you primes. Thinking you can do whatever you want. Best you go on your way' His left hand grabbed Ley by the shoulder, guiding the young man behind his back. He didn't pay enough attention and used more force then he needed, Lay tripped and fell on his back. Without thinking Eric took a step forward as he saw the boy fall. This single step was must have come across hostile as he saw the axe swing over the bearded man's head towards Eric with full force. Within a blink of an eye Magneto created a strong barrier around him deflecting the axe straight backwards. The man got knocked back by the sheer force of the deflection and lost his balance.
'You insignificant insect !' Magneto shouted fiercely. Dropping his shield and lifting his right hand in the air. His eyes were burning with anger and he let out a strong shout when suddenly a metal lance was created above his right hand. 'You humans always with your violence, I've had enough of your kind.' The metal lance shot towards Magneto's assailant, barely missing him as he rolled to his right in order to dodge the weapon. Eric's rage filled expression suddenly disappeared when in front of him he saw his lance pierced through Ley's stomach right into the wooden floor. The pool of blood quickly spreading around the young boy as he looked Eric straight into his eyes. The wounded boy's eyes were tearing up and were screaming agonizing pain, yet not a single scream left the boy's lips. He just lay there in awe, bleeding , holding on to the lance.
'NOOO! Ley ! Ley look at me...stay with me !' The father crawled to his dying son holding his seemingly small head in his much larger hands. Tears were flowing from his eyes as all he could do is try to comfort his son's last moments. It wasn't long before he felt the small head slowly leaning back and the fight for survival was over. His eyes showed no more signs of life, it was now an empty shell. The lance disappeared and the man held his son close, the shouts he let out were filled with pain and disbelieve. He looked towards the door, knowing where the man responsible for his son's death was standing, yet the doorpost was empty.
Magneto walked away from the house, behind him he heard nothing but screams. His face however did not show any kind of compassion or other emotion. He looked like a man that had a clear goal and purpose in his mind. 'Now I know. Now I know why Omni brought me here. It doesn't matter which world, it's the same everywhere. Primes are like Mutants, they are superior. Primes are destined to rule this world. These secondary's can choose to serve, or die'.
Leaving the house behind him Magneto walked towards the town.
In the distance he noticed a town, but it wasn't a town he was used to. The architecture was old, even for his taste. The road leading up to the town was nothing but a hardened dirt road.
