Things you believed as a kid
#41
I used to think that fridges produced "negative heat energy" that would cancel itself out against heat. Took me until I was 15 to find out the truth.

I also thought that when you chose to play against the "Computer" in a multiplayer videogame (like say a fighting game) you actually play against some person paid by the game publishers. I thought that these same people also control the moving NPCs in all the games that I played.

I live in a place that is often abbreviated to 'Rocky' and when I was a kid I saw my parents had hired a VHS of Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I assumed it had something to do with where I lived.

I wasn't allowed to watch that movie until I was older but my mother referenced it a lot. So I always thought, for some reason, it was just one super gory slightly gay slideshow. IT'S CALLED A PICTURE SHOW DAMMIT.
