![[Image: Bowser_Koopa_Jr..png]](http://img1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100708161146/mariofanon/images/b/b7/Bowser_Koopa_Jr..png)
Character name:
Bowser Jr
Character source:
Super Mario Bros
Character history:
Bowser Jr is the son of King Bowser Koopa.
Despite being the youngest of eight siblings, Bowser named his son after himself, due to the newborn bearing a striking resemblance to him, unlike any of his other children.
Growing up, Bowser Jr’s siblings resented him for numerous reasons; the main being their father’s obvious favouritism towards him – giving Bowser Jr special privileges that they had never received. Perhaps Ludwig, the eldest, despised BJ more than the others did; believing his father had snatched away his birthright as heir to the Koopa Kingdom throne, passing it all the way down to Bowser Jr.
The older Bowser Jr became, the clearer his understanding of the reasons his siblings had distanced themselves from him. Rather than attempt to build bridges with his brothers and sister, he became more spiteful towards them, taking advantage of his father’s lack of concern for his disgruntled kids feelings towards Bowser Jr.
Into his teens, Bowser Jr gained more involvement in the Koopa Dynasty – often accompanying his father to council meetings. As the young Prince continued to grow stronger under the tutorage of his beloved father, he gained more responsibilities, particularly, becoming a part of King Bowser’s sinister schemes. If he was not aiding his father in an effort to eliminate the resilient Super Mario Bros, he was trying to kidnap Princess Peach and use her as bait to lure the brothers to the Koopa Kingdom.
When King Bowser Koopa went missing, without a trace of his whereabouts, Prince Bowser Jr assumed the temporary role as ruler of the Koopa Kingdom. Many people were impressed with how quickly and easily BJ adapted to his huge responsibility as King of the Koopaling race.
Bowser Jr's first act as the new ruler was conducting a search for his father, refusing to believe his ‘mighty’ King had perished at the hands of one of his many foes. Having inherited his father’s will to ‘never give up’, he continued the campaign, even after eight months of no results.
His oldest sibling Ludwig has also been missing for the past couple of months. The only reason Bowser Jr is concerned about his brother’s whereabouts is because of his strong belief that it is connected to his father’s disappearance, and why he feels Smithy is likely behind it, as the leader of the notorious Smithy gang has attempted to overthrow King Bowser Sr as the ruler of the Koopa Kingdom on several occasions.
To Bowser Jr’s disgust, Smithy continues to deny any involvement in the disappearance of his family members, although Smithy has stated his plans of seizing the golden opportunity to launch an attack on the ‘Weakened Koopa Kingdom’ as soon as possible.
King Bowser Jr will be ready, if and when that moment occurs.

Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength – 1000 OM
Ranged Proficiency – 1000 OM
Area Attack Proficiency – 600 OM
Starting Powers:
Super Jumping (Basic) - 300 OM
Master Acrobat – 400 OM
Starting Moves:
Bow Bow Blast
(Ranged Proficiency)
Bowser Jr opens his mouth, instantly emitting a burst of flames that travel in a straight direction, extending up to 12 meters. The circumference of the flames expand up to thirty times in size after vacating the depths of his innards. The more time he spends concentrating the flames at a target, the hotter the fire becomes – capable of melting steel or blowing up a tank if applied on the object for a considerate amount of time.
Soopa Shell
(Physical Strength, Super Jumping (Basic), Master Acrobat)
Defensive:
As a defensive method, Bowser Jr typically tucks himself into his shell. Primarily, he uses steel structured shell as a shield, ideal for fending off physical attacks. Either Bowser Jr remains immobile, allowing the shell to absorb the full brunt of an attack, or he uses his speed and agility to dodge very powerful ones. Being the show-off that he is, BJ may choose to display a taste of his acrobatic skills, deflecting an attack by spinning rapidly in his shell, although the longer he spins, the more energy he exerts.
Offensive:
It gets interesting when his offensive prowess comes into play; that’s when his creative juices start flowing. For example, he can use his spiky shell as a battering ram or rely on his athleticism to thrust himself towards a target, using it as a projectile. The spikes on the shell, although pose no physical threat to those that specialise in long range attacks, are useful against those that rely primarily on hand to hand combat; with the metallic spikes being sharp enough to slice through, or impale flesh.

"How disgraceful." Tsunade said in a condescending tone, "To be completely taken out of the game by two low-life punks like that. I thought you were supposed to be the best?"
"Sorry to...disappoint you." Kakashi said weakly, still exhausted even after being healed by Tsunade.
"Okay that's Kakashi-Sensei, now just one more and you're all done!" Naruto announced, happy to see his teacher awake after the encounter with he two men in black.
"ROCK LEE! HE'S RIGHT NEXT DOOR! NEXT DOOR!" Guy shouted, jumping out from behind the hospital curtain. The group exits the room and moves into the hallway, where they spot Lee limping down the hallway, using a crutch as support. "LEEEEEE!" Guy shouts, "Look who's here to see you! It's Lady Tsunadeee!" he says, pointing to her. Tsunade eyes Lee's condition from afar and looks over to Guy, "Is this one of your students Guy?" she asks.
"YYYYES! He's more than a student he's like a son!" Guy says, his words back by the power of youth. "I See..." Tsunade says with an almost sorrowful tone. She shifts her gaze over to Naruto, "Naruto." she says, getting the boys attention, " Do you really have time to be doddleing around here?" She asks.
"Ah! You're right! I almost forgot I'm supposed to meet Iruka-Sensei!" He says.
"Better run along!" she tells him.
"Right, I'll let you take it from here!" Naruto says before running off.
Naruto exits the hospital and begins his trek towards his favorite Ramen shop. As he turns a corner, he is overcome by a feeling of vertigo. He loses his balance and falls backwards, however he doesn't feel himself hit the ground at all. Instead the ground rushes past his vision, enveloping it until all he sees is black. A faceless white figure appears in front of him, Naruto tries to speak but nothing comes out. The figure simply smiles and begins to speak to him.
***
Naruto felt a rush of air, his vertigo disappearing. He blinked and found himself standing in the middle of a white void, the only things standing out being gate like objects in the distance. He turned his head and found that a gigantic cage door lay just behind him. "What....WHAT THE HECK IS THIS PLACE?!"

Character Name: Son Goku, "Kakkarot"
Character source: Dragon Ball
Character history: Kakkarot was a Saiyan infant sent to Earth with a single goal - eradicate all life on the planet! Discovered by Grandpa Gohan, the ill-tempered, violent boy had a fortunate accident one day, falling into a deep ravine and hurting his head very badly. From that point onward the infant, named Son Goku by his new guardian, had forever become purely light-hearted and good-natured. Goku went on to participate in many an adventure, far too many to describe here, but comes to the Omniverse after the events of the Kid Buu Saga, before Dragon Ball GT.
In-depth history: Son Goku
Physical Description: Not required.
Stats:
ATK: 3
DEF: 2
SPD: 3
TEC: 2
Starting Proficiencies:
- Physical Strength [1000 OM]
- Ranged Proficiency [1000 OM]
Starting Powers: [4900 OM Spent]
- Burst Movement (Zanzoken) [800 OM] - By moving fast enough very suddenly to leave behind a 'speed illusion', this technique is a very reliable dodge mechanic that is best for avoid physical attacks, but is essentially useful for a wide variety of attacks. Although it may appear that Goku has teleported, he has in fact just moved incredibly fast - powers and attacks may still affect him because of this, even if he tries to dodge said powers.
- Super Jump (Master) [800 OM] - Allows you to jump up to 60 metres high.
- Master Acrobat [400 OM] - Allows you to perform handstands, flips and cartwheels with ease, even while attacking or defending.
Starting Moves:
(Seeing as though the Kamehameha had already been written as an example, I transferred it over. If that's an issue I can rewrite it.)
- Ki Blast [300 OM] - The simplest form of Ki Manipulation, a small sphere is thrown like a ball or a weight at a target a few meters away, exploding lightly upon contact with most surfaces but without enough power to affect multiple targets.
- Kamehameha [600 OM] - A light blue beam of raw destructive energy, fired from the palms of the hands, that can be charged for greater effectiveness. It requires the user to be stationary in order to use, though not necessarily on the ground. The minimum time it takes to use is about a second, and the longest it can be charged for is thirty seconds, the results of which can be very powerful. It is roughly three feet in diameter.
I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

He was in the Nexus again. All around him, the people who had stuck around the facility to catch the final moments were starting to disperse toward the gates. For a collection of individuals who had just been trying to kill one another, it seemed like a pretty orderly dispersal. Amid the group, Proto Man caught a glimpse of the Monster Hunter Cindy. He scowled, still harboring ill feelings toward the woman despite her defeat and the loss of whatever trinket she had stolen from his friends. Part of him wanted to finish what Samus, Harry, and he had started just before the event had started, but it would be ridiculous to fight someone in such a central, populated location.
His CPU updated its records on her… He would never know when he might run into the woman again. In a place like the Omniverse, he doubted she could stay away from anything that seemed to glitter and carry any value—real or imagined.
Now that he knew Samus was still alive, Proto Man would find her again. Her and Harry and whoever else the pair surrounded themselves with these days. If he had learned anything in the Omniverse, it was that he could put his trust in the armored woman and the wizard. They were flawed (and so was he), but they were good people.
Proto Man made his way toward the gate that led into the Pale Moors and his thoughts turned to Whirda. The woman had been the one to bring up the subject of Dante’s Abyss, but she hadn’t even been a contestant or even a spectator at the preshow facility. Had that been some sort of ruse? Even after fighting alongside her in a handful of fights, Proto Man wasn’t convinced he knew who the woman was just yet. For all he knew, the human inside her had died long ago and been supplanted by the darkness that coursed visibly through her veins.
So the android did the only thing he could do—he walked toward the gate. For a brief moment, he flirted with the idea of heading toward the steel edifice that housed the entrance to Coruscant. How sweet would it be to return home and be with his family? It had been so long since he last heard from any of them. Had they been watching Dante’s Abyss? Had they seen his scuffle with the monster hunter in the barracks or had that been kept from the airwaves?
Those questions would have to wait. Proto Man had a promise to keep, and the only way to do so lie in the Pale Moors. With his head held high, the android continued his trek. Once he’d made it a little over half the way across the Nexus, he glanced around and realized that he was the only one heading in this direction. Even as a machine, he’d been able to pick up on the uneasiness that people felt when wandering around the wilds of the Moors, but as he stared at the throng of individuals making their way toward Coruscant, Camelot, and the Vasty Deep, he had to wonder how Darkshire still existed. Did the place even have immigrants or did it simply draw in wayward primes like some sort of giant Venus flytrap?
With a sigh, Proto Man glanced down at his hand and the runic symbols etched around the barrel of the Proto Buster. Whirda or not, he was going to deal with the individual behind the Blight. He had allowed the archdemon too much time to continue to spread of her contagion, and it was due time that she was dealt with by someone who had the fire- and willpower to do so.
If push came to shove, hope would ride alone.

The first thing that Blink saw when she stepped out of the portal was Dante's Abyss. She had just spent three days surviving on an island full of strangers, battling them in a game of survival of the fittest, all in the name of entertainment. She had made it to the top fifteen and was killed a fiery blaze. The last thing she needed to see was a reminder of the game she had just fought in. But as soon as she stepped foot in the top tier of the beautiful city of Coruscant, a big poster of a young-looking boy covered in scars filled up her pupils. It said 'Dante's Abyss Grand Champion - Sasuke Uchiha.' Her lips twitched a bit as she tried to remember who it was. She couldn't. She had never run into the person who ended up winning the entire game.
In front of the poster was a handful of people looking at it and discussing the topic. As she got closer, she could see the poster wasn't a poster at all. It was actually just a large screen, and was just showing a shot of this Sasuke character at the very end of the game. It clipped to another man; a tall marine that actually did look familiar to her. His name appeared as 'Dante's Abyss Runner-Up - Doomguy.' She had briefly scuffled with him before sending him through a portal so she could escape. She was mildly satisfied he didn't win, even though she had minimal interaction with him.
As she was approaching the group, she made eye contact with the one of the young women talking about the game. She could tell immediately by the reaction of the teenager's face that she was recognized. The girl's eyes sparked and her face lit up, causing Blink to quickly turn, trying to veer off away from them. She definitely was not trying to draw any attention.
"OhmyOmni it's her! It's the pink girl from the Abyss!" The girl rudely pointed at Blink, who was trying very hard to remain inconspicuous. Almost all of the eyes in the group turned. Though she didn't want to be noticed, Blink was a little offended that she was known as 'the pink girl.' It's not like Blink was a tough name to remember.
"Don't be racist. Just because she's pink doesn't mean..." One of them said.
"No, no it's her! Same clothes, same hair! It's the girl that teleports!" Blink was a little more satisfied with that description of her. "Hey! Hey Blink!"
Blink stopped walking and let out a sigh. At this point, it would have just been a jerk move to keep walking. After all, she was probably asking for the attention in that bright green cloak with her purple locks up in a ponytail, completely exposing her face. She turned to the side and smiled politely. She wasn't looking to be famous or recognizable, especially in her current confused state, but she didn't want to be mean either. The group of six teenagers clearly were fans of the show she was just on, and she rationalized that the least she could do was say hi.
"Hello," she said meakly, "You got me."
Big, surprised eyes met her as all of the Dante Fans rushed over to her. "OhmyOmni it's so cool to meet you! You were so awesome!"
"My dad is never gonna believe I met a Dante's Abyss fighter!"
"How do you teleport? Is it hard?"
"Did it hurt when you blew up?!"
"Make a portal right now! Show us how you do it!"
Blink was surprised by the enthusiasm from the fans. She hadn't even come closer to winning the game but they still wanted a piece of it from her all the same. She didn't get to respond to any of the teenagers, instead just listening to them ramble on about their favorite parts of the game. She puts both of her hands up, trying to cut them off, but most of them wanted to just keep talking. Finally, one of them, the small girl that initially recognized her, held up a small paper card. Blink looked down to see it. It was a trading card. Her picture was on the front, showing half of her body coming out of a heavy exagerated version of her portals. It said '#15 Blink' on the top of it. "Will you sign my card?" She asked.
"Oh, um...yea, sure." Blink reached down to take the card and then the offered sharpie. She was about to write 'Claire' on it, but stopped herself. She had never signed the word 'Blink' in cursive, but she thought it was appropriate. She wrote as carefully as she could along the side of the badge, making it look as girly as possible. "There you go."
"Thanks," the girl beamed happily.
Blink was about to say something to the girl, but suddenly an irritating sound began to emit from her pocket. She looked down, realizing that one of the devices she was given after the game was over was ringing. If by 'ringing' you understand it to be 'make a siren-like noise that annoys pink women', of course. Blink quickly reached down and clicked the button of the side of it to silence it. "Sorry," she told the teens, "It was nice meeting you all."
She turned around and could hear the disappointment in the 'awwwwww'-like sound a couple of them made. Deciding to make it worth their while, she used her free hand to open a portal right in front of her, and then walked through it. All of the teens cheers for the sight of using her own special version of teleportation.
On the other side of the portal, she found herself in a small alley. It was the nicest looking alley she'd ever seen. In fact, the entire district she was was sparkling clean and filled with technologic wonder. The kids she was just talking to all had fancy clothes on that seemed expensive, even for a former X-Man's standards. Blink put the communicator, which was really just a watch, up towards her mouth. "Hello?"
"Hello, Claire." Came the voice on the other side. Blink looked at it, shocked. This was why she was Coruscant. This is what led her here. Somebody knew her real name, despite the fact she had told nobody. Somebody either knew enough about her to identify her name, or it was somebody she knew. She didn't know which idea was scarier.
"You sent that note," she declared. She was referring to the note that said her name in the box of 'personal belongings' she was given.
The communicator buzzed again as the voice came through it. "I'm glad you decided to come. We have a lot of things to discuss."
"First you need to tell me who you are," she countered.
"I could give you a name, but it could be fake." Blink had to admit that the logic of this voice in her watch was sound. "If I tell you who I am, there is no way to prove it. Instead, come and meet me, on equal terms, and we can speak without going off of assumptions and guesses."
Blink frowned a bit. It was all a bit too cryptic for her. She'd been in some really sticky situations in her life, and the fuzzy feeling she got at the beginning of those situations felt similar to what she had in the pit of her tummy at that moment. It was not a good feeling. But none the less, she pressed for information. "Where do you want to meet?"
"The Luna Moor Inn. Third Tier. Room 507."
"A hotel? I'm not really that kind of girl," she tried to joke.
"See you there."
She could hear a click on the other end of her communicator. She frowned, mainly because she had told a good joke and he either didn't hear her or didn't find the humor in it. She put her arm down, sighing as she tried to process the conversation. This mysterious voice had seen her on Dante's Abyss and lured her to Coruscant, and wanted to meet her in a hotel. She was starting to think it was someone she knew from her original universe...or multiverse, in her case, as she had a lot of universes that she had protected over the years. Whoever it was likely had bad intentions. If it was a friend, there wouldn't be any reason to be secretive. The person on the other end of that communicator had secrets, and she didn't like dealing with someone that had secrets.
She heard footsteps behind her. She quickly spun around, spawning a glowing pink dagger in her hand as she turned. As if he was politely waiting for her to finish her call, a big man walked up close to her. He had a shaved head by a short beard that covered the bottom half of his face in dark hair. He had on a white tank top and jeans, with a thick chain draped around his neck as if it was a necklace for a giant. He had a rough look about him. She couldn't tell if he was deliberately trying to give off a tough appearance, or if he had really been through some shit. She was going to assume the latter, just in case.
"Sorry to interrupt your phone call, sweet cheeks," he said. His left hand hovered near his hip, which Blink realized featured a holster with a pistol in it. It was likely in response to her own weapon. "But I gotta talk to you."
"So talk," she told him, backing away a bit further. She was fairly confident she could avoid the bullets if she teleported fast enough, but she wasn't going to need distance to ensure she had time to strike in defense. "I'm not stopping you."
"Alright," he said. "First off, I ain't here to fight. I work for a guy that gives a shit about this city, and he wants to talk to you about a job opportunity."
"So he sent you?" She asked, a bit surprised. "You're not a great impression for my first potential employer in this city."
He smirked. He seemed to like her answer. She shrugged his shoulders, but with his size he seemed to almost to roll his torso in slow motion. "Listen. I'm not a big talker. But this guy that I want you to meet...he's the real deal. He saved my life. He's trying to save this city from destroying itself. He tells me that you can help and I believe him. So you're going to meet him. It's up to you if you want to do it willingly or not."
"Oh..." she nodded her head, as if she suddenly understood the situation. "So you're hoping I don't go willingly. You're not a big talker, right? So this mystery man that sent you didn't intend on me going quietly. He plans on having to chase me. But lemme tell you something, baldy..." she backed up a little bit again. "I'm really good at getting away. You'll never catch me. Not with those big ass arms slowing you down."
"It's a good thing I don't need to use my arms."
Claire squinted with confusion at that response. Suddenly his fingers gripped his pistol and he yanked it out. She was counting on them and quickly lept sideways, using a hand to create herself a portal to cross through. The pink mutant disappeared into it and behind him, holding her magenta, transparent dagger with the other hand. What she didn't count on was the fact that he had another pistol tucked in the back of his jeans, which he grabbed and turned right on her, as if counting on her location.
The gun fired right at her. She quickly tossed her dagger and it took the bullet, shattering into a splatter of energy. Another gunshot was stopped by her energy shield, a small wall that she put up with both hands. He suddenly started to run at her, opening fire on the fake brick wall she was squatting behind. She looked up, over it, seeing him approach.
She teleported straight from location and appeared right at his side, slamming into him. He was strong enough to easily toss her sideways, but one of his pistols scattered to the ground. She rolled from her back and onto her feet as he charged towards her. She wasn't quick enough to 'port away, taking his weight into her smaller body as she was slammed into the back of one of the buildings surrounding them. He raised her up, one hand on her hip to lift her up slightly. "I told you," he told her, annoyance in his voice. "You are coming with me." He put the side of the pistol against her stomach, pointed upwards so the muzzle was sitting between her breasts, pointed up at her chin. "Got it?"
She struggled a moment to see how tight the grip was. She obviously had no way of getting out in any conventional means. Her fingers find his torso, both hands pressing into him. "I don't even know your name," she hissed at him. "How's a girl supposed to trust a man with a gun and she don't even know his name?"
"Rufus," he told her.
"Well..." her fingertips began to glow pink. Her palms grew hot. "Fuck you, Rufus!"
With a flash of fuchsia, all of her teleportation energy shot forward and blasted him into his chest. The power was enough to send him backwards, though she quickly realized she wasn't going to be able to teleport him. Once he was off of her and flying backwards, she sent three more blasts of energy at him. He let out a groan as he lost his grip of both her and the weapon, landing on his back and rolling sideways away from her. He quickly looked up, raising up onto one knee and one elbow, nursing his wounds. "Fuckin' bitch..." he panted, "Sneaky."
"I told you..." She turned her body sideways so she could look at him while at the same time put a portal up behind her. On the other side of her gateway was the original plaza she had come in on. "You'll never catch me."
The man known as Rufus suddenly reached down towards his show, pulling out yet another metallic blue pistol to engage her with. She quickly jumped back into the portal just as he opened fire. She could tell that if she hadn't closed the portal in time, she'd have been hit and wouldn't have been able to close it. She fell back, just from the panic alone, but was relieved to see she had successfully gotten away. For now.
Brushing herself off, Blink stood up and turned to see the city. It was a beautiful city, now that she finally had the chance to look at it. No crazy bald shooters. No mysterious voices in her watch. No teenage fangirls asking for her autograph. It was just her and the tippy top of Coruscant, looking down with wonder and amazement. "Well, you made it, Claire-bear," she told herself in a whisper. She was right. She had finally found a moment of peace. For one brief second, she was finally free of Dante's Abyss and the fact that she was a pink teleporter everyone wanted on her side. She was just another citizen of the Omniverse, and she was in a tall, marvelous city known as Coruscant.
She enjoyed it while it lasted, as long as she possibly could.

After months upon months of strange adventures and rapidly-changing surroundings, Athena had gotten used to waking up in unfamiliar places with little to no explanation. Still... how did she get here? The transition from home to this world was so fuzzy in her memory that she wondered for a moment if she had fallen back into her mind again. She shivered a little. She’d rather not repeat that series of events a second time. Only one way to find out. She slowly reached under her hair and untied the blindfold over her face, pulling it to the side. She still couldn’t see. Good. This was reality, then. She replaced the blindfold. Second question: Where was she? She cast around with her mind – and could immediately tell something was gravely wrong.
First of all, her sense was blocked somehow. Whereas formerly she could have focused on any area around her and “seen” anything in it with crystalline clarity, things too far from her were… dark. She could tell that she was seated on the brim of a serene fountain, but past sixty feet or so, she couldn’t have even detected a two-story house. Second of all, she was alone. Entirely alone. Not that she minded solitude, but not knowing where the other Souls were put her on edge. Upon realizing this, she laughed at herself slightly. I’ve become far too dependent. I’m not a five-year-old missing my mommy and daddy – I can function perfectly well on my own. Besides, they’re most likely somewhere nearby; I just can’t tell because of this infernal dampening of my senses. Despite this self-reassurance, though, Athena could somehow tell in the back of her mind that they weren’t close. She fingered the pendant around her neck – a simple bronze gear on a leather cord that Delta had given her. Should she use it? She had promised never to utilize its primary function except in an emergency, but it had other abilities, the easiest of which was allowing her to see through Delta's eyes. That would let her know where he was, at the very least, and probably the others. That would be the best course of action at this point. She momentarily sent out a mental link, pushing her consciousness through the pendant and out towards wherever he was – and it was cut off. Nothing was there but blackness.
The shock showed visibly on her face, even without any expression in her eyes; the color drained out of her skin. That is hardly possible. If the necklace couldn’t connect them… then her captain - Delta, the Soul of Time, the only person she had ever truly trusted and cared about - was entirely out of reach.
Immediately, Athena felt the swelling of emotion: panic, grief, worry all rose up inside of her and began to push down the walls that she had constructed to protect her mind. No. You can't allow that, Athena, you know that.
~~~
The task was complete - it was done - the Baroness was killed by Athena's own hand, as it had been planned. She had broken the steel grip of the twisted woman's control over her mind. She was free. Wasn't she?
Athena opened her eyes. The room swirled in fantastic, incomprehensible patterns. She opened her mouth and a scream somehow pushed its way out, mostly without her consent. She was being attacked - floating on the ocean - lost in darkness - her friends had turned against her and were lunging at her again, Kattly aiming a rifle at her face - the walls dissolved into purple goo - a dagger.
Athena clutched onto that vision as the rest of the images barraged her mind. A dagger. Somehow, through the psychosis and flood of warped ideas, she knew what she had to do. She wouldn't be held back by fear or self-preservation - it was a great relief. She had half a mind to start quoting Shakespeare. O, happy dagger... Wait, what was Shakespeare? And what was a half-mind, anyway? Was it the half that knew about Shakespeare? Was it the half that had turned against her? No, that was her whole mind, and then some.
Stop. No more of that. That way madness lies. She trained her gaze on the dagger. It was thin and teal-handled, held in someone's hands, but she didn't even dare look up to see who. She scrambled unsteadily towards it as the world tilted and shrank around her. A hand up - her own hand changed to dragon claws in her vision as she grabbed the hilt, but she focused her eyes on the blade and ignored it. She drew the weapon towards her, trying to keep from convulsing as terrors attacked her from all sides. Almost there.
Two swift movements, and it was done. Nothing but blackness. She sat down on her knees, listlessly holding the dagger in her hands as blood spilled from her face. She focused on the sounds around her - shouting, crying, someone screaming her name - but she only felt happiness. The nightmare was all over.
A jolt passed through her body as she realized she was wrong. She could feel it - the insanity creeping up the back corners of her mind, in the recesses and shadows. It would never leave her completely. But she wouldn't let it take over again. All she had to do was keep her mind under control. She simply had to stay calm.
Athena took a deep breath and decided to approach the problem from a more analytical standpoint. So her allies were inaccessible. If the necklace wouldn't function, that could mean one of two things: either Delta was dead, or in a different dimension entirely. She would not accept the first one. Best not to even consider it. So he was probably with the others in some other dimension. But what dimensions were there? As far as her knowledge extended, there were only three: the Timelines. She had been to both the First and Second, and whatever this place was - with her warped powers and this "Omni" - was certainly not either of them. So it was the Third... right? If Kiarza had told her that there were only three planes of existence, she had no reason not to believe him. He was a god, after all. Well, best to work on that assumption for now.
So, she was in the third Timeline. All she remembered hearing about it was negative: one ultra-powerful and insatiably violent high power (that already went against what she had seen of this "Omni," but her perception of him could be wrong - after all, she'd encountered him for only a few moments, though it had seemed longer), and darkness, fear, and danger around every corner. And without the other Souls, she had no power to summon a cross-dimensional white hole, so essentially, she was trapped here. At least, "for as long as she interested" the Omnipotent One. Well, at least she could be reborn. That was pleasant.
Still, the fact remained that without the others (especially the warrior Soul, Abstract), she would need to defend herself. She stood up and started pacing, and was unnerved when she realized that she couldn't feel the comforting weight of either the God Sword or Crescent Gold on her back. She had nothing to defend herself with but her powers - and even those seemed oddly weak. Wait a minute. Hadn't the Omnipotent One said that she could get anything that she desired? All she had to do was use that orb he gave her. She pulled it out of her pocket and rolled it around in her hand. "Okay, Omnilium," she muttered quietly, "I want my weapons back."
She could feel that the stuff was working - its presence was warping somewhat. Contrary to her expectations, however, it wasn't instantaneous, so she sat down again on the stone wall surrounding the fountain as it transformed. In several minutes, she had the God Sword strapped to her back again. Because she was on edge, she kept Crescent Gold in her hand, but folded into its dormant state. No need to seem too openly hostile, after all. There was also some of the Omnilium left in its orb form. I suppose I'd better put that away, she thought to herself.
Then Athena jumped. As soon as she had decided to put it away, it was absorbed into her skin. All of a sudden, it was just gone. “Wait, what?” she said aloud, startled. Then she paused. She could still feel the power emanating from it. It was… inside of her? She tried to make it collect in her palm again, and it obeyed, swirling up into a perfect orb. Another desirable feature of this dimension. After all, Omni had instructed her to get more, and after a while it would become cumbersome without some way to easily carry it. She absorbed it again with an effortless thought. Perhaps she'd eventually become accustomed to this place... although it would bother her if there were literally no other people, which is what seemed to be the case so far. In fact, she couldn't sense so much as a building. Aside from the fountain, it was completely empty.
Athena stood up smoothly from her sitting position and began walking in a very straight line, face hidden in shadow by her hood. She would come across something of interest eventually, wouldn't she? And even if she didn't, moving would help to calm her nerves. She had no inkling as to what she would encounter in the Omniverse, and she had the acute feeling of being grossly under-prepared.
