Character name: Charles Xavier
Character source: Marvel Universe/Personal Imagination
Character history:
In the the infinite dimensions of the Marvel Universe lie a pocket of reality wherein an alternate earth existed, Earth-69. This Earth had long been strip mined of it's resources and turned red and irradiated, a veritable prison planet, where the unwitting denizens slave away for their supreme leader, Emperor X!
Young Charles Xavier, born to one Brian and Sharon Xavier, graduated a 16 with honors from Harvard. After his graduation Xavier began to grow bored, and sexually curious. Using the power of his psychic persuasion he hypnotized the first and most attractive girl he could find and slept with her. After that seminal moment he became what can only be described as Earth-69's most unrepentant drug and sex fiend.
Using his disposable income and powers of mental domination he went on a sexual rampage doing nearly every act an every drug imaginable, but sex and money wasn't enough to satiate his twisted desires. Soon Charles Xavier set his eyes on the political world. Starting with America he began influencing leaders in business and politics. But Magneto, and Aladdin Sane, two homo-superiors, began to recognize his evil and assembled a super team to stop him before he hypnotized the entire world.
Charles knew he had to do something, so he used his maddening intellect to build a time machine and time traveled back into time to May 1, 1776 where he started the Bavarian Illuminati. He sailed the seas and became a fearsome pirate, losing his left and feminine eye to buckshot in midship combat. During this period he discovered the Founain of Youth or the Nectar of the Gods, the exact details of which still remain a secret. He trained a few disciples including James Howlett and Aleister Crowley in preparation for his global takeover.
By the time the future approached he had already solidified his victory against the Avengers, the Brotherhood, enemies from outer-space, and the heroes of earth either by simply commanding them to kill themselves to by absorbing them into his conspiracy against their will. Most simply continued their lives without noticing as Emperor X mind controlled the elite ruling families of the world. He created two clone detachments, Kaguya Squadron and Nephilim Squadron, a legion of Wolverines and a legion of Deadpools of various shapes and sizes, trained by Taskmaster.
But as thousands of years passed his immortal reign began to grow tiring. Mutants and their human slaves were all his astral playthings, most lived in virtual realities watching endless porn and playing video games. The God Emperor was suddenly blindsided by one of his Deadpool minions! He had stolen the relic of Magneto's helmet from the Imperial museum. What a careless oversight.
They stood on top of the World Trade Center above the lake of fiery industry of earth where the humans did as Xavier thought, "Nephilim guard #999, return the artifact and lower your pistols," the Nephillim guard responded with sarcasm "You have no idea, we are just character's in an introductory roleplay post on a play-by-post forum." He then opened fire on Bizarro Xavier and caught him in several places. They grappled on the balcony and suddenly fell from the WTC towers hurtling towards earth.
Suddenly a temporal rift opened and swallowed them both.
Bizarro Xavier emerged in the omniverse pulling his cutlass from the Nephillim guard who lay lifeless. He had been shot in a several places and looked around, "Where am I?"

Cat paused outside of the gates of the Endless Dunes. What waited on the other side of the gate? Was it dangerous? W-would she even find her way to the town Jak was sending her to? Cat's head spun with unknown questions. The small girl raised her arm behind her to hold Granite's hand while she stepped through. Apparently last time she had visited a 'verse' she had died.. hopefully this would be different.
Within the verse Cat cowered at the glaring light of the sun, both from the sky and reflected off the few grasses. She quickly slid around behind her grand protector to hide in his shadow. It was much too bright after the dim surgical white atmosphere of the Nexus. Maybe she should have prepared first, but hopefully the town wasn't too far away... Cat was rather hopeless with directions. A quick search on the dataverse revealed the heading they would need, and Cat set up a compass function using the light on her pen. North was yellow, south blue, east was green and so on. She hoped it worked properly.
The town was supposed to be only a few hours walk away... but if the boys let Cat lead the entire way it would take twice or thrice the amount it should have taken due to both her slow speed and helplessness with directions. Regardless of who led, the group would likely be parched by the time they got there anyways. Good thing the destination was a bar then. At least, Jak said he was probably still gonna be there.
"You two can do whatever you like now... I-I'm gonna go see if I can find Daxter. H-he's suppposed to look like a weasel I think."

Kopaka landed on the sterile, plastic floor of the nexus with a growl. Immediately he was aware of the familiar weight of his sword and shield strapped to his back. Reaching into himself, Kopaka could feel the thrumming power of Ice coursing through his body. He was once again a proper Toa, and in being so, it was time to tend to his Duty.
The Fountain loomed large behind him, glistening in all of its frozen glory. Kopaka walked up to the reflective surface, running a metallic hand along the damp firmness of the glacial monument. The biomech caught a glimpse of his mask in the ice as he did so. The corrosion, whatever it was, had become even worse since the last time he had checked. It was curious that the grey rust did not manifest anywhere else on his chassis. What exactly did it indicate?
Kopaka was drawn from his reverie by a smug sounding chuckle from behind him. The Toa turned around to see a pair of storm troopers leaning against a pair of EPD swoops, idly talking to themselves.
"What." Kopaka seethed, curling his fists into tight balls. This only encouraged the troopers to burst into yet another peal of mocking laughter. Eventually they were able to compose themselves enough to answer.
"Fuckin' Kopaka. Most worthless Prime in Coruscant."
"Yeah dude. You are literally the only Prime to ever wash out of EPD recruiting. It's supposed to be a goddamn shoe-in for your kind." the troopers chided. Kopaka turned on his heel, and approached them with a steady gaite.
"What do you mean...'washed out?'"
"Means Brath gave up on you man. You had Valentine in the bag and you just ditched the stake out, just like you ditched the Colosseum. Worst kind of coward there is." said the trooper on the left. Kopaka's eyes widened ever so slightly. So...time had indeed passed since Teucer abducted him into slavery. Then the Spirit had rendered the Toa's failure complete. There was no sense in trying to defend himself against these EPD officers. They wouldn't care. Why should they? All Kopaka had managed to do so far in the Omniverse was fail repeatedly.
Without saying a word, the Toa turned on his heel and began to walk in an aimless direction. What now? Where did his Destiny lie? He continued to feel a pull towards serving the people of Coruscant. Was there a way to salvage the situation? A way to go above and beyond the depth of his inequities?
The mouse.
Kopaka stopped in his tracks. Mickey Mouse. The Prime still hadn't been killed by his hands...and thanks to the Spirit, he might never be. However...there was more than one Mouse wanted by the Empire. Calling up his Dataverse client, Kopaka began to pour through all content relevant to either of the diminutive convicts. There. On the service called 'OmniTwitter'. Minnie Mouse had publicly posted her location as being in Ambrosia. The messages had been submitted quite some time ago, but it would be a good place to start.
Once again changing direction, the frost warrior wheeled towards the gate for th Tangled Green, with grim determination in his stride. All the laughter...all the derision. It could all be dispelled if Kopaka played this right. He could still serve his Duty. He might still meet his Destiny. The goal was simple. Simple enough to give his undulating pangs of rage focus.
Banish Minnie Mouse.

It has occurred to me that we are in need of freedom from the god Omni and his childish game of boredom. If we are to be free from his tyranny and lack of judgment we need to all stand together to defeat him but if we all disagree thing will never be changed. Some agree that I am too optimistic and absurd possibly ludicrous and how do we stop a god, well fear not for if we stand together and follow my Ideas and others we will stand tall in the hour of our victory. In my idea we need items or weapons that have killed gods over the ages. Examples of this would be The Infinity Gauntlet, the Twilight Blade, an elder scroll, the Anti-life Equation and many others. We should look into getting help from others such as the Emperor and the current king of Camelot. If we are to succeed we will need all the help we can get. I believe that the only one that at one point had the same power as Omni was Dr. Doom, by facts at one point Doom had the powers of the Beyonders and Thor’s father Odin and at one time held the Infinity Gauntlet. In the process of all this there is a possibility of doomed failure in this case the elder scroll is key in returning all of what we did to normal or what you call normal in this world. If there are any questions that need answers please ask them all help is needed.
This post is more focused on the Institution and anyone who is willing to help with story line.

To those who might or might not be reading this, welcome to my first attempt at a realistic fiction story... I've felt the inspiration for a while now, and Now I'm making it happen. WARNING: This story will be dark, mirroring my thoughts for these last few weeks. This is mostly a way for me to vent my frustration and stress from the various mechanisms of life.
But I would like to post at least One chapter (about 4000-5000 words.) once every two weeks. If someone, staff, or a regular member would remind me of the deadline as it approaches. I know you might have other things to do, but if you did, I would very much appreciate. The current due date for Chapter One is March 8th.
Thank you and Goodbye,
-Koal Lynch

Eyes fluttering open ever so slightly, the Templar sprawled across the rather cleanly made bed noticed no more than the pain in his chest, lungs wheezing out shallow breaths from his nose. Shay Cormac's vision faded into the rather calming scene around him, watching as the darkness formed blurry splotches of color.
Despite the seething pressure on his torso, Shay felt rather tame. Even now, only seconds after waking up from his slumber that seemed to have taken forever, it was strange to feel.
Then again, he remembered that only minutes ago, he was busy getting the wind knocked from his body by another faction entirely. After what, two days in a row doing nothing but mission after mission? The Templar could only imagine what had happened while he couldn't see what was going on. Even then, it all felt so distant from him...
Only a moment later did Shay realize why.
Agnès. Though he could barely see, Shay immediately saw the small woman's eyes widen in surprise. He swore he could have seen a slight smile form at the end of her lips, but Shay knew he wasn't ready to strain himself too much to notice, simply letting his head fall back down on the pillow of the bed.
If he was listening in a bit harder, Shay might've been able to hear her voice. Calling for him, the Templar had to assume, but all he wanted to do was go back to sleep.
At least, Shay would have enjoyed that privilege, but he suddenly felt the small grasps of hands on his shoulders, the voice of Agnès becoming louder, causing a bit of a ring in his ears.
"Shay!" the Templar could make out from the small voice, finally clear now. Agnès gently shook the towering privateer's body, seeming to do a good job on waking him up.
Agnès watched as the man she was taking care of jolt upwards, sweat dripping down Shay's cheeks. The two Primes stared at each other for only just a single second before Shay's caretaker reached to his chest, pushing him back down onto the bed. Feeling a sudden jolt of pain in his stomach, Shay sucked in the air through his teeth realizing what that gesture was for.
"Please," Agnès began, "stay down for now."
Squinting, Shay stared at the woman for another short second, her worried expression not helping to ease Shay's nerves. Then, he chuckled, Shay's voice broken a bit by sudden gasps and wheezes.
"Say," Shay mumbled, reaching up to cover his forehead, "how long was I out?"
"Barely an hour, which is exactly why you need more rest," Agnès replied, a bit of a stern tone in her voice.
Shay could only think of how frustrating all of this must have been for her, and it only made him appreciate her presence a bit more than he did already. The Templar didn't think too much of the situation other than the obvious; she was healing him through some sort of magic, and he couldn't be more than happy enough about it.
"Wait," Shay broke the sudden quiet in the room to ask, "what happened to Victor? Gilgamesh, the others?"
Deafening silence followed short after. Agnès' mouth stayed open to think of a response, but she didn't need to say a thing.
Shay could see in the look she gave him the answer to all of those questions. The Templar almost laid himself back down, thinking about the implications, but before he could even try, Agnès confirmed it to make the pain of loss seem all the more burning.
"They're gone, but..."
"I know," Shay quickly chimed in, not wanting Agnès to think about it further. The privateer was certain he didn't want to either.
Finally, the two Primes present in the room had a chance to look over each other, and despite all the destruction and rubble outside, watch as the bright sunlight cracked into the room from the clear windows adjacent to Shay's bed. Agnès could already tell Shay didn't need explaining that he was inside of the palace, or at least he presumed so. Even then, the thought wasn't pleasing. Of course, the building was rather huge, and there was barely a chance anybody from LAW would so suddenly barge in, but...
Shay couldn't help it, he felt worried as all hell. Agnès was feeling it too, but looking at Shay's face as he loomed over the dusty outsides of the palace walls, the healer could tell there was something bothering him.
"Agnès?" Shay called, looking back at the girl in question.
"Yes, Shay? Do you need anything?" Agnès quickly jumped up, hands tensed in case she needed to help tend to a wound she didn't see beforehand.
"Do you think," the Templar began, hesitating for only a moment longer, "we're doing the right thing?"
Agnès stopped, her arms loosening up, yet the expression on her face only getting tenser.
"I--... What do you mean?"
"All of it," Shay came back, more expression in his voice than even he expected, "New Babylon, fighting for Gilgamesh, that one Stormtrooper camp? It's only been two days, yet the claims those men were making as they blew us over..."
Shay only stopped for a moment, looking at Agnès' face. She seemed to be stuck on what to say. Perhaps she was doubtful too?
Either way, the Templar continued only by finishing off his last thoughts clouded in doubt, "Do you think that we really are fighting for the wrong side?"

A little glimmer of Omnilium shimmered nearby Gildart's slumbering form. It warped and twisted, forming itself into the shape of a small cat. It had cream coloured fur with the exception of mocha colouring on its paws and the tips of her ears. It looked like its head was too big for its body, but it didn't seem like it had any trouble carying it. The little creature yawned, mouth opening wide as it padded over to the large man and curled up on his chest.
"Mamma! Look at me mamma I can fly!!"
The young exceed leapt from the high loft of the barn, wings flapping uselessly as it fell deep into a pile of straw at the bottom. She giggled and squirmed around, burying herself further in the warm plant matter. It was so warm she could sleep here... all day... No one really noticed the kitten fall asleep, or that she was there to begin with. The absence of the kitten wasn't noticed until much later when she was being called fkr supper... and there was no response.
The kitten had fallen asleep, and started dreaming. A warm person, with a really deep voice and and a tickly beard. He was lonely. She didn't know why but they seemed very nice, even if they were lonely. Maybe he was a dragon slayer. The kitten had always dreamed of helping a dragon slayer fight someday. Dragonslayer or not he looked like he needed a hug. She could do that. Her mamma told her she always had the best hugs.

Quote:Reader's warning- post contains frequent use of coarse language.
Here again.
The only light from the cloud-swathed night sky was the eerie maw of the original Hell Gate; a vortex of light that sent waves of demonic shadows down the creases of the Temen-ni-gru and unto the ruined city streets. It had been so very long since that place had ever existed, and yet every facet of these sights were carved meticulously into Dante's memory, his subconscious.
"Well, aren't you just a massive disappointment? Who gave you control over such this body, anyway?"
The sound of Dante's voice, and yet not his own, penetrated the air of inky black surrounding his prone form. Only now realizing his position, the devil hunter quickly lifted his arms and pushed himself off of the pile of rubble where he had sat limp. Staggering on his exhausted legs, Dante heard another faint chuckle from his spitting doppelganger. It was indeed that same ghostly white, that specter of darkness in the Son of Sparda's form- but it didn't make a point to be Dante as he knew himself to be.
From the tone of voice, to the slouched and juvenile statue, the Hollow rather stood for all that the half-blood had to be ashamed of, all the brutality and resent he discarded to become a better person. Still fighting to keep his own determined stance, the battered red-coat sneered back, "You're one to talk- you don't belong here."
"And why not, asshole?" His shadow snapped right back, channeling that sickening amount of vulgarity Dante looked back upon like the Black Plague. "I'm you. I'm everything that makes you human- your emotion, your passion, your instinct-"
"Like hell you are-!"
Apparently eager to prove that claims were more than just talk, the Hollow Dante catapulted himself forward with a flying thrust; a Stinger maneuver, with a pearl-colored Rebellion in hand. In his wounded and vulnerable state, the real mercenary could only try and block the attack head on - attempting to avoid the lightning-quick blow was a vain effort at this point. And yet, the Royalguard style could only kneel to the hollowed shade, the lunging stab shredding right through Dante's defensive stance and throwing him back into the small hill of dilapidated debris.
The devil hunter couldn't even begin to get up before his wicked copy mashed him further into his small crater, swinging the broardsword inexpertly like a hammer as he tried to dig a deeper grave. After about a dozen labored swings, the Hollow seemed to give up, shaking his head with a sigh as he lifted his modeling of Rebellion onto his shoulder.
"Don't you get it?" The ghostly visage of a younger Dante spoke, his exasperation almost believable. Just like his previous effort, however, the Hollow quickly gave up, turning and walking away with a dismissive throw of his free hand. "Oh, what am I saying- of course you don't. You fuckin' dumbass."
Dante coughed, sputter, and began to groan something- only to be quickly cut off by his broadsword being shot through his ribcage like an artillery shell, shoving his whole body a foot deeper into the huge mound of ruins. The whole thing collapsed from the redistribution of mass, heaps of rubble, glass, and rebar all shrapnel on the man's body. A massive smile exploded on the doppelganger's face, as if he finally got the chain reaction he was hoping fro from the beginning.
Meanwhile, inside the tomb of junk, Dante's only relief lay in his being wounded in pride alone. The thousand injuries on his human figure were only dull throbs of discomfort, even if there were indeed a thousand of them. For long moments, the mercenary lay pinned there, alternating between not suffocating and desperately probing his own pool of demon energy within. He knew it was there, but the goal seemed just barely outside his reach...
A chunk of brick wall pulled itself away, exposing Dante's top half to the darkened spirit world again. The Hollow was first to greet him, "Don't think I don't see you trying to dip into your devil powers, fuckhead. News flash- it won't work."
Well, wouldn't that just figure.
Struggling with what remained of his intact muscles, the thoroughly thrashed devil hunter found his attempts at moving stymied by a large flash of pain. The ghost yanked again, and his broadsword came free from Dante's bloody chest, the man choking on bubbling spatters of blood. "So, why were you so afraid to use those powers before, huh?"
Dante coughed up a blob of phlegm and blood, gasping for the air to formulate a response. "They weren't-"
A white boot came crashing down on the nephilim's face, pressing his head sideways into the rubble. Hollow Dante idly inspected his sword, observing his own shit-eating grin in the reflection. "I'm sorry, they weren't what?"
"-not... demons..."
The boot's heel replanted itself into Dante's skull, grinding it down as if squashing a spider into gory paste. "Fucking bullshit. You made peace with a couple of demons! The hell would you do that for, huh?!" The Hollow spat, angry and mocking. "Lemme guess, because they looked like little girls? That's right, isn't it - you sick, perverted old man-!"
"F-fuck you-"
"Fuck you!"
The doppelganger lifted his foot and brought it down once, again, multiple times on the devil hunter's rapidly marring face. "Wanna know why I'm beating you so bad? Because you don't know how shit works, Dante! So I'm here to beat it into your goddamn head!" The clone bellowed, ceasing his curbstomping to grab a handful of the red-coat's collar and spit into his face, "You gettin' that, huh?"
"Why- ...even bother?" Dante choked back, ever resilient under the scarring of dirty footprints and mashed bruises. "You know I'm a bad student."
"Well... what's the point in losing if you don't learn anything from it, dumb shit!?"
In a typical feat of supernatural strength, Hollow Dante tore his progenitor's body out of the debris pile to throw him back onto the street, all in a single movement. The horrifically defeated nephilim bounced, tumbled, and came to a crumpling stop as a bloody pile of tattered clothes and limp flesh.
"Lemme break this down, so you can get it through your thick head," the Hollow began, hopping down to the cracked road to pace plainly towards Dante. "You don't wanna use your devil powers because you're afraid you can't control 'em- or, rather, you're afraid you'll get overwhelmed by emotion and unleash it where you'll hurt someone. Except, that's the point! You got what demons don't have: that human drive of emotion that can push you beyond your limits, beyond even the strongest demons in existence! You have such amazing power at your heels, and hold it back because it's not the right time?
"Oh, and it's all because you don't wanna hurt any of the precious humans- just like your dad, right? And since when have you ever cared about him, huh?"
That stung. Barely clinging to the reality of this spiritual world within himself, Dante fought to right himself from his place as a tangled mass of limbs. "That's not-..."
"You shut your shit-spewing mouth! Why do you care about anyone?! Love, compassion, friendship- those are the stupid emotions and ties you hold so close to your heart. But the closer they are, the more it hurts when they get ripped away from you! Am I wrong? Tell me!"
The Son of Sparda gnashed his teeth, head pounding, body registering nothing but pain, and unable to hear anything but the ringing in his skull and the furious howling of the Hollow's words. He wouldn't listen, he swore he wouldn't...
"Listen to me, Dante- you don't need anyone else. You can't trust anyone else. Why would you need to, when you can be the strongest damn thing in existence?"
"Because then- what's the damn point?" Dante cried out, sending out a tiny spray of of his crimson spittle in the process. "When you have power over everything, what else is there to get?"
He wouldn't see it, but the Hollow doppelganger raised an inquisitive eyebrow at that, as if actually pondering what Dante had to say this time. "...You're right. What else is there to get? Stupid material things that all just fade away with time. Why keep anything when you could just destroy it all? Why fight entropy when you could enforce it?! And when there's nothing left to destroy, you can find the creator of it all, and spit in their fucking face! You'd like that, wouldn't you?!"
"You would."
"And I'm you. So that answers that, doesn't it?"
The light above began to grow, the portal shining more intensely as if it intended to swallow the whole city with its influence. "Ah, son of a bitch- I'm out of time already?" The Hollow cussed quite genuinely this time, gazing as the whiteness overtook their world of shadow.

I should’ve summoned a heavier jacket.
Stormtrooper Guy’s armor almost blends in with the snow, but thanks to the stylish black coloration of all his joints, I see him crumpled up a few yards away from me after passing through the gate to the Frozen Fields.
The name’s not kidding. This place is literally covered—every goddamn inch of it—in snow. Between this and the place we just came from, I haven’t seen this much white since my last visit to Wall Street.
I hug my leather jacket more tightly around me, my feet crunching through the snow towards my little friend. After digging in the frozen shit to find his leash, I nudge him ever so slightly. With my foot. Pretty hard, actually. “Ow,” he groans, rolling over and quitting his ruse of unconsciousness.
“No sleeping on the job, guy,” I say. “…sorry, what’s your name again, bro?”
I’m not really sure why I apologized. I mean, didn’t this douche technically threaten me back in the big white land of emptiness? Okay, okay, ‘threaten’ may be a strong word, but he definitely at least aimed his little Star Wars laser gun in my direction. And although I know from memes on my Facebook that Stormtroopers have shitty aim, the guy was basically almost in point blank range—close enough for me to punch him, anyway—and so I couldn’t take any risks. Right?
Before you say anything snarky, yes, it has dawned on me by now that I’m essentially kidnapping this poor sucker. But he pointed his laser rifle at me.
“I go by the designation TR-8R,” my buddy growls. That’s too many numbers and letters to remember, and they all seem super random.
“Jessica,” I say, reminding him, “I’m gonna call you Trey.”
His distaste for that idea is apparent even with his face shrouded by that ugly helmet of his. Ignoring his frustrated mumbling, I forge ahead into the blizzard, dragging his ass behind me. This time, though, he’s awake, so after a brief pause to move my knots from his ankles to his wrists, he can at least stand on his own two legs and follow me. I don’t have to listen to his head bop, bop, bopping along the ground, which is a definite plus.
Trey and I journey through the Frozen Fields for what seems like ever without a single word between us or a hint of civilization. Hyperbole aside, it’s probably like half an hour before I finally stop in my tracks.
“Sooooooo,” my buddy pipes up behind me, “Where exactly were you planning on going, Jessica?” The snideness in his voice irks me.
“Don’t test me, Trey,” I turn back to him, pointing a finger very threateningly at him, “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. And it especially hath no fury like a Jessica Jones scorned, you get me?” I can’t tell what his face looks like through that helmet, but his silence implies that he picked up what I was putting down.
During our little trip, we’ve been flirting with a mountain range that sort of snaked around us and now lies directly in our path. Given my high degree of unfamiliarity with the populace and wildlife of this snowy hell, I’m not too keen to find myself trapped in closed quarters, just in case a huge monster jumps out of nowhere and decides that Trey and I are exactly what it was craving for dinner. But—despite being from New York, which has been snowstorm central lately—I am also not the biggest fan of blizzards, and so I make the tough decision to take shelter in a cave somewhere in the foothills of one of the mountains.
Trey protests, going on about trolls and giants and other weird things that honestly just seem like shit he’s making up.
“Listen, dude,” I shoot a glare in his direction, “I’m willing to suspend my disbelief that you’re not some weird cosplaying convention freak and believe you when you tell me you’re actually a Stormtrooper and you actually serve the Emperor and what the fuck ever else, but you’re not about to try and pull some World of Warcraft bullshit over my eyes. No way José. No way.”
“But—”
And then a very sharp pain streaks through my entire abdomen, and I look down to find myself on the business end of a very rustic-looking spear. A motherfucking spear.
“Ow,” I say involuntarily, and the spear is yanked out of my stomach. I spin around, suddenly feeling very lightheaded, to see a very ugly-looking, pointy-nosed creature that really and truly can only be described as a troll giggling maniacally. I fumble with Trey’s laser rifle and eventually it slips through my fingers as I tumble onto the ground.
My vision starts to get blurry, but I can still see enough to see Trey lunge for the rifle and pick it up with his tied-up hands. The troll rears back with its spear, but my Stormtrooper buddy proves his worth: he takes aim and fires, like, five times straight into the ugly monster’s chest, sending it falling backwards into a wall. Its bosom is steaming, and the light leaves its eyes as slowly it slides down the rock wall of the cavern, dead. As I try to pick myself up, I can’t help but say one of my favorite words.
“Shiiiit.”
“You okay?” Trey asks, turning around and helping me up.
“I, uh,” I stammer, obviously not feeling okay, “I… think I’m, uh, bleeding.”
I feel the hole in my abdomen, and I’m totally right. It’s wet with fresh blood. Thankfully, Mr. Troll didn’t seem to be shooting to kill, so he missed my major organs, but I’ve still got a nasty hole straight through me and I’m bleeding profusely so I figure that we need to find some help. Somehow. Someway. Though I honestly have no fucking clue where to start in this ridiculous fantasy world.
“I think there’s a dwarf city a little ways away, deeper beneath the mountain,” Trey tells me, and my eyes grow wide once again.
“…dwarves?” I screech. This is too much for one day.
But I follow him anyway, because damn, it fucking hurts.
