Subject: Meeting up
Hey, I see your finishing of your fight now and by the look of it, the rest of Dante's Abyss is finished, so maybe it's a good time to do that catching up thing before some other life threatening adventure starts. If there's anyway you can meet in the spectator area, I'm in there with Daxter, if not tell me where you end up and I'll look for directions.

Quote:Here's a description of the beach from a previous post so we can stay consistant with each other. The description is at night so imagine it at daytime:
She was standing on a boardwalk that was suspended over a beach and some of the ocean dozens of feet in the air. To her left, extending out into the sea was an entire mini theme park, right there in the docks, complete with rollercoaster, ferris wheel, and tea cup ride.
To her right was where the boardwalk ends. There’s a couple of stairways leading down to the beach, but there was also a bridge that extends into the top of a nearby hill. From the looks of it, it lead to more of the city.
She looked down at the beach. Eventually, the sand gave way to a concrete road that separates the natural world and the city.
She noticed the road along the beach was much more lit, so she chose to go down the stairs.
Walking down the concrete path which was lit exclusively by street lights, she saw the long line of colorfully decorated shops that formed a row down the lane. While they were closed, she could imagine them selling t-shirts, ice cream, maybe some of them even sold food! She could swear some of them had a bar and stool for eating meals off of. That must of been the purpose.
For anyone wanting to join in, here's the OOC thread: http://omniverse-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=8581
Everyone play nice with each other and have fun!
It was a clear blue day at the beach and scores of people came out to get some sun and fun. Men and women of many shapes, sizes, and species came in their bathing suits to enjoy a day in the sand. Some chose to make sand castles, some chose to surf the waves, which were really coming in this time of time of year.
Shops selling goods of all varieties line the road that parts the beach making a killing with the summer crowd. The mini-theme park was also doing well, all the effort of putting a damn rollercoaster on the boardwalk was work it!
Volley ball tournaments were being held, and so were armwrestling tournaments. There was an entire section of the beach devoted to work out equipment. Even jetski and motorboat rentals were availible!
Looked like it was the perfect time to be at the beach!

Character name:
Shū En’Asena
Character source:
Original
Character history:
Shū En’Asena hails from a world known as Bastian, his homeland being that of Aurora Basin. This world only knew a constant winter and the rarest of springs and summers, the ever extending white of snow was something his people had accepted as their reality. The civilization consisted of many tribes with a culture groomed on superstition and survival. Hunting and gathering are essential and learning necessary survival skills at an early age is required of the youth if they hope to see the season’s end. Shū’s tribe was that of the Wolf Tribe, known as the Enirah, and they were far more removed from the other tribes.
They dealt closely with the supernatural and Shū was no exception, an outcast who could speak with the dead. He had dreams and aspirations of being a hunter though his fear of lightning and thunder earned him ridicule. Nightmares of being devoured by a creature of electricity did little to soothe him and it wasn’t till an entourage from another clan arrived that he was deemed to follow the path of a shaman.
He rejected the notion at first yet came around to the idea after the guidance of the woman leading the troupe, Shina. She led him through an ancient world of dreams, Yūran, hoping to entice him further and put him on a path of becoming a shaman. Disaster struck during one session as the creature from his nightmares manifested and proceeded to attack them both, trapping Shū in the dream world.
Here he met many supernatural beings before finally being awoken from a coma. After waking he found himself in control of powerful electrical abilities much to the disbelief of his tribe. Seeing this as an opportunity, his Chieftain entered him into the Grand Hunt against the wishes of the shamans. Shū had been reborn as an Aether, a chosen of the gods, and to use him in the Grand Hunt was considered ill willed.
The hunt started with traditional ceremony, that year’s hunt was for a Waheela, a wolf-bear hybrid. During the hunt he met a man named Caecus. A fellow Aether, he took Shū under his wing to help train him in his newfound abilities. The hunt ended in tragedy, however, as a great Wyrm was awoken and took the lives of many of Aurora Basin’s greatest hunters. Shū wasn’t the one to strike the final blow but his assistance was paramount.
This defeat of the mighty beast led to a discovery of a growing threat. The Ekinder were an infectious race of humanoids, spawned from the remains of the dead and they were the ones that had woke the sleeping Wyrm. Many more hunters fell to eradicate the sudden menace to their lands but eventually a peace settled over the Basin.
Shū proceeded to continue his shaman training, having regretted not learning the skills necessary to combat such evil. Years passed by and Shū had become a renowned shaman. Corruption had steadily crept over the land and it seemed for a long while Shū was the only one capable of stemming the tide. Sadly, it was a battle he couldn’t have won.
For years Caecus had been manipulating him and his people. War broke out, the Ekinder resurfaced. Caecus was revealed to be one of the most sinister beings in their historical records; a Wendigo. He had orchestrated the rise of the Ekinder, the war between the tribes, and had been preparing Shū to become a gateway for the powerful being that had been locked away inside his dreams. Raka, the bastard god of lightning and shadow. This scheme cost the lives of several of his closest friends and family, including his lover and child.
Calling on aide from the supernatural he had befriended or had earned favors from, it wasn’t until the intervention of the gods that they were able to bring down the sinister wendigo and all he had wrought. Raka was left trapped in his prison and despite the heartache he suffered, Shū was prepared to help his people rebuild. Yet life was never that simple for the shaman and his pleas to his gods were answered by silence.
Metal craft flew down from over the great mountains, laying waste to the last of their civilization. This anguish caused Shū to lash out with the full force of his powers, ripping the tin soldiers and their metal aircrafts apart. He was captured and placed in a metal container, visions of wires and sharp knifes accompanied his captivity before all he knew was darkness and the comfort of a screaming god of lightning to plague his eternal rest. It wasn’t till he was brought forth to another dimension entirely that he was finally able to open his eyes. And what he saw was a creeping smile and a bright light that introduced him to the Omniverse.
Physical Description:
Shū stands at five-foot-ten and was considered a runt among his people. He has a thin frame, the result of years of captivity, and his normally shoulder length dark hair is held back into a ponytail. Surgical scars scatter across his body, as well as scars from a beast that stretch behind his right ear and along the back of his neck.
Pale skin is to be expected from being locked in darkness for so long, though in his youth he was a shade darker as were most of his tribe. His eyes are a dull green with flecks of silver and purple dotting the pupil, giving them a shimmer effect when inspected closely. While he has taken to wearing lighter clothing and not animal skins, he has trouble adjusting to temperatures above thirty degrees.
Plain looking would be an accurate description of his facial features though the worn look of a life of turmoil does give him a sense of age and refinement. While he holds the appearance of a man in his late twenties, he is well over seventy. He can grow facial hair quickly, another trait of his heritage, but it is customary for shamans to remain clean shaven. Despite that attempt for some normalcy to his life, he does carry a spear as well as a bow with arrows slung across his back.
Aside from his traditional weaponry, he also holds several trinkets and charms made of polished stone, beads, and animal bones. These are more than just simple jewelry as they ward off evil spirits and give him focus whether through the use of his electrical abilities or to allow him to better to traverse dreams, only he knows.

TEC: 2
Starting Proficiencies:
Ranged Proficiency; 1000 OM
Ranged Materialize Proficiency; 600 OM
Remote-Control Proficiency; 600 OM
Area Attack Proficiency; 600 OM
Starting Powers:
Electrokinesis - 900 OM (Requires: Ranged Proficiency, Ranged Materialize Proficiency, Remote-Control Proficiency, Area Attack Proficiency)
Shū doesn’t draw in electricity from the air or generate it from his physical body. He taps into the raging god locked away inside of him to bring forth bolts of lightning and the crackling of electricity. It takes only a moment for Shū to summon electricity around his body and his immediate vicinity, he can even use it for mundane tasks like lighting a fire or illuminating a dark area. The closer he is to an opponent the more they feel the full force of electricity. The further away they are or the wider the spread of his electricity (~80 ft. distance or ~30 ft. radius), the effects are reduced to nothing more than static in the air. This ability, while used in combat, only creates electricity around him and allows simple attacks to nearby targets. It is highly inaccurate without furthers assistance by other moves. More accurate and powerful ranged and area attacks (such as bolts of lightning or a shock wave of electricity) are advanced moves that must be purchased separately. Keeping this ability going for longer than fifteen minutes at a time pushes him past his limits and can cause a massive feedback, incapacitating him. He needs approximately thirty minutes to recharge.
Starting Moves:
Bow and Arrows; 300 OM (Requires: Ranged Proficiency)
A wooden bow, lovingly crafted and polished smooth. The string is of a silken make, waxed and practically immune to snapping. A leather grip wrap encompasses the center of the wooden limb, accompanied by bone weights at the ends to provide greater stabilization. Each arrow is of equal craftsmanship, 20 in a leather-bound quiver, and can be replenished by Shū when not in direct confrontation and takes about ten minutes to replenish . All arrow heads are made of glass-stone, symbols of spirit banishment etched into each one. He can fire off one arrow at a time in approximately one second at a maximum distance of 1000 yards depending on the trajectory of the arrow. The average arrow travels at about 150 mph in a straight line, that speed slows significantly (reduced to 30-60mph) if the arrow is fired at an arc to attain maximum distance.

Where did you find us? RPG-Directory, I believe.
Other: So I got totally swept up in building the character, please don’t hesitate to let me know what I can approve, it’s been awhile since I’ve written. I wanted to tackle an original character before taking the reigns of a more established character. I have a whole bunch of stuff for background info and practically a syllabus on his world. I promise it’s nothing too daunting, let me know if you want me to put it here for reference or if I should just wait to put it in later should I get approved. I’m also not sure on image use (I like to have a visual reference) so if you want me to remove it, I can do so. I also have a crap-ton of online monikers and I'm not big on being addressed by my character but you guys can call me Shu for now. Thanks!

“AT LAST, I AM IMMORTAL! Take that, Saiyan scum.” Freeza sneered as he spoke to himself, rejoicing at the good news. His defeat at Goku’s hands had left him adrift in space, weak and nearly dead, however the tyrannical alien had remained alive, for air was something he could breathe without any outside aid. He wasn’t oxygen deprived, he’d been simply loitering amongst the leftover boulders of that pathetic Namekian planet.
Fools. When Freeza returned with his newfound immortality, all the rats who had scampered into the crevices of the universe would hunted down and exterminated. A simple task, if he had had any feet.
The white being remained before the halved Freeza, speaking as though he were on a pre-recorded message or loop. It appeared to be an alien or humanoid of some sort, maybe some sort of demi-god or legend. Its name was Omni. It had apparently given Freeza power, riches, and his favor and yet asked for nothing in return. Freeza was worthy, as far as the alien saw it, he deserved everything bountiful the universe had to offer and more. Power by divine right of power. Omni had not even asked for the alien’s allegiance. What a fool. Freeza would use his newfound Omnillium paired with immortality, and enslave them all. The weaklings would all bow the fuck down. Those who defied would be mercilessly and brutally slain.
First. He would hunt Goku and end that ignorant monkey for defying him. Vegeta… Well, he was already dead. Freeza only wished he had made it a more painful death, but as egos went, Vegeta’s ego had died both damaged and obliterated. Freeza could take pride in that. The alien’s purple lips smiled and blackness turned to white. Omni evaporated and as though by magic, Freeza’s form had been restored.
What I desire most is their blood lapping at my feet, Omni. And I promise you I will have it. I am glad to have the immortal endorsement. Freeza thought while his squinting eyes narrowed. He would have it. In his hands. Swimming in it. Again and again. Victory would be Freeza's consistent reality for eternity. Horror would befall the dictator's every trodden path.
The room was white. Freeza gazed across the way, quite interested in the new change of scenery, perhaps there were other immortals here as well. None as powerful as he, however, Freeza was after all, the ultimate being. His fingers crunched into a fist, he swatted his tail and hit a dense, pearlized floor and flexed his alien toes. Strange, he had been transported here in his base form, it was lithe and and somehow… A little less powerful.
Freeza was aware of this almost instantly, his caudate appendage swishing around in the air, restored to its glory… And yet, still somehow lacking. His expression wrinkled with disgust.
“How odd,” his shrill voice narrated as the intelligent alien came to the unsatisfactory conclusion, “Even in my most powerful form, this room is somehow limiting my abilities.”
“Who are you talking to, freaky fuckin’ clown face?” a man with a smoking coffin nail hanging from his lips challenged.
Freeza’s eye twitched. He was not in the mood to be spoken to that way, not after Goku had slain him and left him for dead. Now he had this fool, someone with a power level he couldn’t even detect speaking to Freeza as though he were a circus freak.
“You’ll get one try to bow the fuck down and beg my forgiveness. Or, I’m going to rip your heart out of your rib cage and smash it below my foot like the disgusting roach I think you are,” Freeza’s spherical head fell to the side, amused and almost begging for the man’s defiance. He would make a good example to this room of busy on-lookers. A way to make a new name. “Perhaps you mistook me, Freeza, ruler and most powerful being of the galaxy for someone else..." a pause. "Your choice.”
“What the fuck are you even fucking on about, freak?” the man slurred, alcohol on his breath, liquid courage would lead to his very... Liquidy demise.
In a slice of a second, Freeza’s digits had plunged through the human’s skin, warping already moldable bone and puncturing the man’s pathetic excuse for a tar-covered lung.
“Oc-Oc…” the stranger’s face warped into an expression of pure horror as his voice caught in his throat. Air struggled in labored heaves while Freeza’s hand lay within his chest, trespassing and gripping the rubbery organ as it still beat. The tyrant enjoyed the moment of power, the man’s literal life in the ultimate boss’s hand. The smirk never fell from Freeza’s face as suddenly the alien gripped the slimy organ and ripped it from the various arteries and veins that connected it to the man’s bloodstream.
A squishy, Splat! sound came from the gory splatter of crimson essence that came with Freeza’s little game of operation. It was a clean pull though, his hand had already made the way through, now, the man grasped his empty chest and was forced to watch as Freeza sullied his hand with the man’s slop he called blood. The filthy scent of post-ape covered the white alien along with the gobs of clotting burgundy from the human’s cheap blood.
At least in death, this human would serve more purpose than when he lived a wasteful life.
The still-beating heart dropped to the ground in a sputtering puddle of red, the man’s expression watched helplessly as one arm reached out for his organ, but that wasn’t how this game would end. Freeza was the goalkeeper and he was also about to get a slam dunk…
His three pronged foot loitered a foot above the gentle rise and fall of the gooey mound, ready to stomp down, yet waiting and savoring the dominance and fear he'd put into the intrusive bystander. Freeza was enjoying the sadistic emotions of triumph that came with watching another pathetic creature’s defeat.
“Well, I did warn you.” Freeza sneered as his foot executed the final blow with an explosion of a heated gush, “Uck, it’s still warm, just like stepping on fresh dog shit, but you’d know all about that, wouldn’t you, human scum?”
“M-m-my h-ear-ear…” the man collapsed to the ground, the color of fresh death pooling around him, and staining the Nexus’s pale light with an ugly shade of primate crimson.
"Can't hear you," the villain rolled his eyes. Tch. What a lame victory.
"G-guh-guh..." it was likely the man's final breath. No last words. How anticlimactic.
“Sigh, you weren’t much fun after all,” Freeza did sigh, and attempted to shake off the man’s drooling blood from his ivory skin, he began to hover, because the pool of blood was an inch from lapping at his toes, ripples of power rolled over the placid pool of blood, “I thought perhaps you might even cry out or scream, but alas, you just bent over and took it like a bitch. At least you’ll die the way you pathetically lived. It's just a pity I had to get my hands dirty at'all.”

Vin stopped at the outskirts of Darkshire. She eyed the cloud cover over the town, and noted that the mists had drawn away from this town, just like in the hub area with the fountain. "What in Preservation has this world done to deserve his disdain?" she thought, crouching down and feeling the dirt in her hands. She kept her tin on a low burn to keep herself alert, and the motes of dust felt coarse in her hand.
"Maybe I can find some metals somewhere in there."
She thought, feeling for the file at her waist, when she couldn't feel it, she cursed.
"That's just going to make this even more difficult, did I just lose everything useful when I was taken?"
Realizing that she had no way of replenishing her metals, probably even tin, she extinguished it, and continued on with normal human senses. She needed the mists, it was the only place she felt a true belonging, and yet, without steel to fly through them, what would even be the point. Why search them out if she couldn't even flit around like her first nights learning of her power.
"Steel or pewter" she wondered. "Steel, and I can feel alive, pewter, and I can fight properly."

Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”
Omni hands you a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.
“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
Vin stood from her sitting position on the ground, she couldn't feel any of her metals except tin. It was the slowest burning metal which was probably why she still had a decent reserve of it left. She flared it to give herself a burst of awareness and stave off weariness. "I'll have to find some metals." she thought as her body ached, "Definitely pewter first." As she walked away from the fountain.

haracter name: Vin Venture
Character source: Mistborn Trilogy
Character history: After the death of Kelsier at the hands of the Lord Ruler, Vin had very nearly lost the last thing that she had to lose. She attempted to rush the Lord Ruler in his own palace, and unfortunately was swallowed by the mists, seemingly in a blind attempt to protect her, and woke up in the omniverse. Then she saw Omni.
