"Yes. Of course it will. You have nothing to fear, Mister Higgs. This is merely an attempt to stop something much worse before it spirals out of control."
Harlan loosened his grip on the phone, as the voice added one last thing. "Gramba the Hutt hopes you will attend. The top of Hashimoto Tower. Noon tomorrow."
The Ravnos put down the reciever and stared at his Majordomo, Charlie. "Well? What do you think?"
The bald man shrugged. "You'd know better than me, boss. Hutts wanna parlay. It could turn out good if we can get them to ease up on us. The Westside ain't exactly been very genial."
Harlan tutted. "Hmm. Good point. Alright, I'll go. I'm glad to see someone in the Omniverse knows how to settle matters like gentlemen." He stood up from the desk, and straightened his suit. "Make sure the chopper is ready tomorrow morning. I'll bring a couple of the boys with me as a display."
Charlie nodded and left his office, leaving the boss of the Jacks alone with his papers, files, and maps. The Casino was running smoothly, even better after that mess with the Space Marine. Spectacle always generated interest. If he could settle the war with the Orks and Hutts, then he could focus on more entertaining concerns.
That conversation was going through his head, along with the thwip-thwip-thwip of the helicoptor rotors as they approached the helipad of Hashimoto Tower, a man in flight deck gear waving them in with bright orange batons.
"Look sharp, boys. Let's get down to business." Harlan said, drawing out a cigar and clamping it in his mouth.

I just really want to do this.
Character name: Schwi Dola
Character source: No Game No Life Light Novel/Movie
Character history: Schwi started as all Ex Machina did, she was a Pürfer unit constructed to serve in a cluster of other Ex Machina. But one day she lead a group to deflect the shot from a Dragonia and that blast took out a large piece of the landscape including a human settlement. She surveyed the ruins of the settlement to find a human child had survived the destruction, clutching a chess board. An anomaly, the likelihood of a survivor of that blast was next to nothing. She sought understanding of this, and concluded that what the humans called 'heart' must be it. She pursued understanding of this concept and in doing so encountered many errors in her programming, refusing to cease despite insistence from the Cluster causing her to be severed from the collective.
She observed the human child for many years and eventually seized an opportunity and attempted to understand the human heart by imitation. However the human turned down her attempt to procreate with him instead taking her with him to help him and humanity survive another day while also helping her task. Riku his name was, and over time with many interactions she slowly grasped some concepts but the real meaning of the heart was beyond her. She provided him with the information about how to end the great war of all gods and races on the world and he decided to take her and others in a long game to control everything and end the war once and for all. In the end, she sacrificed herself, sacrificed her personal feelings, everything and finally understood the heart in her death. The next thing she remembers is being face to face with this white being claiming to be essentially the One True God.
Physical Description: Full Battle Mode, no clothes.

The sun was out, shining through the gaps of the forest canopy, to the tune of chirps and buzzes from the local wildlife. The slightest of breezes swept through the trees, swaying leaves and branches with the tiny sigh of the wind. An old wooded trunk, topped and mangled, had submitted to the lichen and fungi of the ecosystem, already breaking down the bark in rotting chunks. In due time, the working plant matter would eventually be recycled into the new plants and trees that would grow in this space.
Mega Man X stood stark against this scene, his damaged upper body shrouded under his cloak. There remained no sign of Nebula in the area- not in the tree itself, the creatures around it, or the nook that the Liberators had shoved the soldiers into. Not even old pieces of rope or cloth were left to indicate a struggle- Steven and the others had disappeared, leaving not a single breadcrumb behind.
Probably for the better, too.
The android moved on after a minute of observing the scene, confirming that nothing remained left to be found. Those missing Nebula soldiers might still be out there as rogue agents, but the collapse of the stronghold in the Green would leave them lacking in any sort of power to use. The chances of them mounting any sort of counter-attack sat at some terribly low number. Perhaps those agents would have to be hunted down at some point, but for now, X did not concern himself with such a task.
The liberator retraced his old steps, back through the brushes and onto the trail. He reached that fork in the road again, with that same sign pointing towards the township of Ambrosia. Yes, now that the Mega Man could recall the scene properly, the assistant of Regal that he had met did come from down this path. All information available pointed to this town being the android's closest and finest option of shelter and recovery.
With that in mind, the Liberator started walking. A series of tiny footsteps, crunching over stray twigs and leaves, resounded somewhere behind the machine. He paid it no mind- probably just some animals.
---
"Hold it!"
If the adverts gave any indication of what to expect, X should've been prepared to see some strange things, from the mythological to the downright bizarre. Despite this, no experience in the android's history could prepare him for being stopped in his tracks by a small squadron of tiny horses, all boasting wild manes and feathered wings. Not a single one of the creates came up to his chest in height, but they didn't need to when they could all flap their wings to be at eye level with the Liberator.
"What the deal with that cape, huh?" The apparent leader spoke up, brown-furred nose snorting between sentences as if he were some world champion as scoffing, "It's a little rude to hide yourself under that, you know. Why not show us what you're hiding, huh?"
X narrowed his cameras, attempting to scrutinize the flying pony with better focus. Lacking any sort of scanning feature yet, the blue bomber was forced to rely on interpretation and hypothesis. Thankfully, he didn't need any complicated equipment to see that not a single one of the creatures wore visible equipment or tool that would indicate them to being some sort of town guard.
The conclusion of that observation was met for him when a strict female voice called out, "Oi! Get away from there, you lot!" A sandy pegasus with a trimmed shock of hair and piercing blue eyes flew into sight, the harsh beats of her wings indicating her current temperance. "Reports're callin' for light showers, and not one of ya is off-duty yet! Back to work-!" She commanded, making the brown pony flinch back with shock and scattering the group of fliers into the skies.
A sweep of the Mega Man's head tracked a couple of the winged horses as they soared off over the expanse of farmlands surrounding the city ahead, from orchards to ranches all raising some exotic variants of traditional animals. X turned his attention to the newcomer as the sound of her flapping drew closer, her expression and demeanor now changed to something softer. "Sorry 'bout that-" The pegasus apologized, sparing a grumpy glance at the retreating forms, "That weather team's got a reputation for butting into whatever business they see. You don't usually get greetings like that in Ambrosia, I swear."
X shook his head and raised his left arm as if offering it, the fine shawl being pushed aside to reveal half of his bare battered torso. "No, I understand," the android explained, "They might've thought I was smuggling weapons under this cloak. Considering the incidents with Nebula that have been occurring, it would be a justified thought."
The desert-colored pony widened her eyes a bit, tilting her head as if to get the blood flowing to the left side. After a moment, she replied, "Oh, you mean that stuff with the Darklings in the other verses, right?" X nodded, and she mimicked the gesture in recognition, "Yeah, that's some brutal stuff out there. We've been trying not to think about just we can keep our routine here going." The pegasus clapped a hoof onto the robot's outstretched hand, accepting a belated handshake. "Name's Gusty Noon, by the by. What brings someone like you to Ambrosia?"
In response, X rescinded his hand and lifted it to display the glove fitted over it- the Liberator Aide. "I've been working for Dr. Regal to dispatch Nebula's forces across the Omniverse. I just came from a rough battle to eradicate their stronghold, hidden deep in the forest." As he showed off the hand, the scars over his chest were more properly exposed, including a hint of the deep wound that Plant Man inflicted in an attempt to rip out his core.
Gusty Noon looked between these signs and quickly pieced together the picture on display. "Ah, so you're lookin' for someplace to hunker down for a bit?" She concluded, and practically bounced in mid-air with her newfound gusto, "Well, ya won't find a better place around these parts than Ambrosia, I can promise ya that. Look again, treat yourself, settle down a while- nobody judges as long as you don't!"
X offered a weak smile as his hand fell to the side again. "Thank you," he said, unable to find better words. With an opportunity to rest within sight, the exhausting was starting to seriously set in, the machine of his form unconsciously preparing to rest a spell. Or maybe that was due to be being dangerously close to running out of power. Not sparing the energy to question anything, the Liberator plodded forward towards the gates again, leaving the weather-pony to flutter off again in pursuit of her team.
A strange place with strange people, but only in appearance. After facing a cosmic level of terror, this felt like a welcoming paradise in comparison. Rightfully so.

Quote:I'm not actually sure if this'll end up with any 'mature' content or not, but better safe than sorry, I guess, so I marked it '[M]'.
Hijiri noticed their captive stirring as she awoke. Like him – and Davion, and that incapacitated stormtrooper who had been left here when they went off to fight the NSW – she was currently lying in a cheap, metal-framed bed, under a thin blanket, and dressed in a pale green hospital gown. Unlike the Battle Rabbit and his allies, each of her hands was cuffed to her bed's frame, and she had a thin, metallic choker around her neck.
He turned and levelled his stern gaze upon her as she regained consciousness, giving a silent warning not to try anything. In return, she looked back impassively, and yawned once.
They remained like that for several seconds.
“Wow, what a bundle of laughs you two are.” muttered Trevor, who was in the process of cleaning the floor; he was still being punished for his cowardice and incompetence in that first battle they'd fought on Tier Five. Aside from him and the four patients, two of whom currently were sleeping, there was no one else remaining in the medical bay.
“... Where's Kev?” the woman asked, after another few seconds of silence.
“The man you were with? His name is 'Kev'?” Hijiri enquired. He'd only woken up this morning himself, but from what Kroll had told him, it seemed that two days had already passed since his fight with the wolf-woman, and the uninjured 'troopers had refrained from taking on any more patrols whilst they waited for Imperial Command to send some reinforcements for their squad. Instead, they had been occupying themselves with training, and taking turns at 'questioning' their healthier prisoner.
Unfortunately, they had thus far had little success. If anything, the suited man seemed mildly amused by their attempts. He was either trained to resist torture, or somehow able to prevent himself from feeling pain... with all the time Hijiri now had on his hands, bedridden as he was, he'd spent many hours surfing the Dataverse on his phone, and had come to realise just how varied and unexpected the powers and abilities of many people in this reality were; compared to some of the things he'd seen clips of online, not feeling pain wouldn't even be particularly impressive, all things considered.
“Yeah. Kev. Where is he?”
“We have him locked away somewhere safe and secure for... questioning. He hasn't been much help so far, though. Our squad-mates are planning on trying out some more... inventive methods next, to confirm whether he really is immune to pain, or if that's just some very impressive acting.”
“Don't you hurt him!” she snarled, suddenly sitting bolt upright – wincing as her as-yet unhealed wound sent a jolt of searing pain through her abdomen – and wrenching hard on her cuffs. When that had no effect, she growled.
Shrieking like a little girl, Trevor dropped the sponge he'd been using and dashed back as quickly as he could without actually taking the time to get to his feet. He sat pressed up against the wall opposite the beds of Hijiri and the prisoner, staring her way and trembling.
“Don't.” Hijiri advised, predicting that she would attempt to use that Power-Up ability of hers to break free, now that she knew her 'base' strength was unequal to the task. For a moment her only reaction was to glance at him out of the corner of an eye, but then she took a couple deep breaths and managed to bring her anger under control.
Her passive expression back in place, the woman turned to look at him properly once more. “Why not?”
He pointed to his neck, indicating a spot where, on her, that nice new metal choker touched her flesh. “We all couldn't help but notice when you and I fought that unlike my own, your Transformation doesn't replace your clothing; you simply grow large enough to tear through it all. That collar you're wearing is something Kroll – one of our stormtroopers – had me summon from Omnilium this morning; you should have seen all the chains that you were wrapped in before. They're no longer needed, though.”
“Oh?” she did not sound convinced.
“The choker is made from a special type of metal; something called 'adamantium'. It doesn't exist in my world, but from what I've seen on the Dataverse, it's extremely hard to break. Transform while wearing it and you'll either choke to death or possibly even decapitate yourself. I wouldn't recommend it.”
She had frowned the moment he mentioned that 'adamantium' stuff... apparently, she was more familiar with it than he was. After a moment's hesitation, she lay back down and stared straight up at the ceiling. “... I'll kill you all, eventually.”
“Heh, heh... heh.” Trevor laughed awkwardly, his attempt at bravado falling flat. He cleared his throat nervously. “Y-you don't seriously think anyone's gonna b-buy that, right? There's no way you're ever getting free now that we've caught you.”
“I die if I change, but when I die, I come back a week later. I can get free whenever I feel like, crackshot.” she sounded bored, and didn't even deign to look at him as she spoke.
“Ah...”
“You won't, though.” Hijiri stated with absolute confidence. If her actions so far had been any indicator, she cared for that suited man, for whatever reason. As such, leaving him in the hands of the Empire for a week, and depriving them of their only other potential source of information on the NSW, was hardly likely to do him any favours.
She didn't deny it.
Having her die if she ever lost a fight and then come back to rescue him later may have been her ally's idea of a good plan, but it was pretty clear that she was none too fond of that method.
***
“Bring me Kev.” The door had barely budged an inch when she spoke. A helmeted head poked through.
“You called, sir?” Priya's voice addressed Davion, who had awoken by this point, completely ignoring the prisoner's command.
“Yes, this bitch won't shut up abou- you missed a spot!” he suddenly yelled, interrupting himself. Trevor squeaked in fight and hurriedly backtracked, scrubbing the floor as hard as he could with his sponge. “Anyway, I'd like you to bring the other prisoner through here. I want to speak to him myself... also, ever since someone let it slip that I'm the ranking officer in this squad, wolf-lady here hasn't stopped pestering me to order someone to bring him through.”
Hijiri looked off in the other direction and began whistling innocently the moment Davion said 'someone'.
“Oh... yes, of course, sir. By the way, sir, Officer Andreas got in touch. She said to let you both watch this, once you had woken.” so saying, the 'trooper tossed down a small metal object just before going on her way.
No sooner had she left than blue light poured from the device, and a life-sized holographic image of Michelle Andreas formed in the air before them.
“Michelle, baby! It's so great to see ya again!” boomed Trevor, suddenly on his feet and brimming with confidence. He sauntered forwards, past his sergeant and their prisoner alike, showing not the slightest iota of apprehension now. He even removed his helmet and casually tossed it aside – revealing a surprisingly handsome face beneath – apparently unconcerned that Davion hated it when his squad took off any part of their armour whilst on duty. He ran a hand through his silky, wavy brown hair. “What's the news, doll, d'you finally come to your senses and decide to pull me out of this dump so we can be together at last?”
“Dodson, you-” the sergeant began, before deciding to shut up and listen when Michelle started speaking.
“This message is for the attention of Davion Calrime and Takanomiya Hijiri.” The automated recording began, causing Trevor's shoulders to slump when he realised she wasn't the real deal. “In light of your excellent performance in the field, Imperial Command has given me the authority to issue your rewards: Davion Calrime, for courageously withstanding a hail of gunfire long enough to slaughter an entire warehouse of criminal filth, you are hereby promoted to the position of Lieutenant. Takanomiya Hijiri, for facing off against a Prime you had no reason to expect you would be capable of defeating, and succeeding in protecting your squad from otherwise certain death, you are now promoted to Corporal. Congratulations, gentlemen.”
And with that, the message ended.
“Huh.” Davion said flatly, seeming unsure whether he should be happy at the pay rise, or suspicious of all the extra responsibility he'd now likely be given. “... Well, that was unexpected.”

Another fine day of Heroing finally comes to an end – and boy was it tiring. Physical exhaustion was a thing of Stein’s past, thanks to his vast amount of endurance training but mentally? He was pooped.
Sitting on the side of his bed, he kicked off his “hero” shoes; black work boots, and shoves them under the edge of his bed. His baggy, bullet riddled shorts followed, as well as a ruined vest and T-shirt. The poor turtle on the T-shirt had more holes than he had fingers and toes. Poor guy…
Left in only his boxers and socks, he flops back into the comfort of his bed, rolled over and happily fell into one of his classic deep-as-the-sea slumbers. No alarm set – tomorrow was Monday, his day off. Unless there was a Demon-level threat or greater, he had a nice long day of TV and videogames calling for him. Alas. He would miss out on his games and shows.
He awoke to an eerie presence. The world was dark, and the only being he could see was a faceless, featureless figure seemingly staring at him without eyes. He was about ready to throw up a shield, but the figure began to speak instead of attack.
“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know.” What a hell of an introduction. The slight haze that lingered from his slumber was lost. His senses became acute, listening to this… strange entity. “This is the Omniverse. You interest me,” what? “so I have made you part of it.”
The rest of the dialogue flowed effortlessly from this entity, as if it had all been rehearsed hundreds of times before. An orb was passed from the figure to Stein who held it almost cautiously. It looked pretty, but sometimes pretty things were volatile. The Tornado of Terror for example. Worst. Date. Ever.
Wait, what was he saying? Stein’s attention had wondered and before he knew what was happening his eyes were assaulted by the vast white light that seemed to permeate every square inch of air in this unholy place. His skin was tougher than stone, but his eyes… oh they burned. A banshee-like screech is released as he rubs at his eyes.
“Please tell me I’m dreaming.” He muttered to himself. “If I’m not, I swear….” Not that he could actually follow through on any threats he’d make. “At least let there be food…” One eye slowly opened. Sure enough there was … no food. “Aww maaaan…” My fried rice, he mourned the leftovers in his fridge.
“Ahh well… Best get to it.” He needed the motivation. With a grunt, he rolled to his feet and stretched out. At least he felt well rested.
Just as he was about to take a good look around, a voice called out. “Hey over there!” Feminine, friendly enough; Stein turns about and spots the source. Three medieval armored fellows were walking up while one had taken on a swift jog. “Whoa there, hope I didn’t spook you. You have the look of a new Prime about you. Consider us the welcoming committee! I’m Franky! And you are?”
Stein was nice enough to let her finish, but upon hearing an opening, he quickly expressed his confusion. “A what now?”
“You know! We like to welcome new people to the Omniverse! Sort of our –“
“No, no, no…” He interrupted her, an apologetic expression added along with the act. “What did you call me?”
Realization lit up the freckled woman’s face. “Oh!” She clapped her hands and grinned. She apparently loved to hear herself talk. “Primes are like… super heroes! Or super villains…” Sounds like home. Primes though? What’s up with that? ”The big difference between them and us is that they can power up really quickly, but it takes us decades of training and hard work! But I don’t mind it, it builds character!”
By this time, the other three had appeared. “Pardon our friend,” an older gentleman interrupted. “She has a lot more energy than she knows what to deal with. In any case, I request you come with us to Camelot. You will be safe there, and—“
“Nah.” The old man’s face twisted to an expression of annoyance. “I’ll be fine.” The four amigos may have seen Stein’s standing as arrogant, but Stein felt from his own years of experience he could handle most of what this world had already.
“Well then, how about some clothes?” The woman chirps in before the older man could unleash his disgruntled rant towards the disrespectful younger generation. “And maybe a hot breakfast? With hair and clothes like that, you look like Omni snatched you right out of your bed!”
Stein looked down at himself. “If there was a breeze I’d make a very cliché comment at this point…” Instead, he just rubs at his bare chest and wiggles his toes in his socks. “I think I’ll take you up on that offer. But I don’t need the full escort.”
“Don’t be absurd!”
The young woman waved off the objection from one of the other men. “Shushush, it’s fine! I’ll take him back to Camelot and be back in a day, tops!”
Stein’s stomach did a flip. “A DAY?! BUT”
“Shhhhhh—hush little one… I have snacks, and we’ll stop at the first town for food.” The woman seemed to know exactly what was on Stein’s mind. “Let’s go before the geizers can stop us, right?”
With no further objections, Stein followed the energetic young woman. She moved quite easily even in the scattered metal plate on thickly padded armor. Watching her almost made him feel tired. “So, Miss… how long till we hit the town?”
“It’s Franky, and we’ll be there in … mmm… three hours?” Before he could complain, she reaches into a pouch on her waist and obtains a few hearty strips of jerky. Stein’s mouth practically salivated. It wasn’t bacon and eggs, but it was food. He went to bed hungry, so at this point he might have eaten the woman’s shoe if she offered it. “But first, your name?”
“Stein!” He was rewarded with a single strip, which he tore into. He expected it to be a lot harder and tougher, but it was actually quite tender as far as jerky goes. Salty but not all that greasy… and more meaty tasting than chemical, like the kind you buy from a farmer’s market. Real jerky was hard to come by.
Franky walked backwards, waving more strips as a promise of reward. “And your shtick? What’s you’re thing, huh? You some sort of fire-ball-lobbing type, or guns ablazing?” It would seem they really were in a whole new world. Or at least another country. Who didn’t know the Turtle Guard?
That was until he realized he was not wearing his usual Hero’s attire. Yet she was asking him as if she knew he was just that. Maybe Heros are much more common here? Primes, rather… he corrected himself. Apparently those of greater power were called Primes. “I can heal and create forcefields.” He made grabby hands at another strip, even as he popped the last length of the first one in his mouth.
She rewarded him again. “Awesome! I don’t know a lot of people who go for the support stuff, that’s pretty neat! What kind of attacks do you have?” Franky was consistent, waving yet another strip as a possible prize.
“I don’t,” he answered honestly. His stomach made him greedy… “I just have shields and healing.”
A pout was her first response. “Don’t be like that, you don’t need to hide from li’l ol’ Franky…” Instead of rewarding him, she takes a bite of the strip. Stein looks hurt for a moment. “You don’t have to tell me though… I was just curious…”

As some other sites that do RPs like this, have "Banking Systems" I thought that one could be set up for the Omniverse. How this would work is that they deposit some of their Omnilium and it increases slowly over time. Would any of the staff members be okay with this?

’Ow… My head is killing me…
”This is some Convention huh?”
Angel immediately shot up as she heard the familiar voice, she would’ve been quite happy to have continued laying there, letting her headache go into the endless black void, but there was something about that voice, like she needed to cling onto every word it said. She wasn’t even sure whose it was, but she knew it off by heart. Looking around the immediate facility didn’t help as it was completely white and barren except for the fountain directly behind her, It’s glossy blank marble completely contrasting with the rest of the scenery, or lack thereof as it depicted a strange human-like figure, it’s limbs much too long and lanky to be realistic, and the face, if you could even call it that, all but a mouth full of rows upon rows of sharp teeth, like something from one of her more graphic of obsessions.
’Let’s see, if I can remember correctly, that’s the Wendigo from Mythos Unbound, first introduced in… series 3? God that was a good series, a little corny, but most of the old ones were like that.’
The female thought now would be a good time to get up and explore around the place, she didn’t need to start nick-picky about whatever flaws the statue had. That was, until she saw herself in the water.
’Seriously… while I’ll admit whoever gave me these clothes had good taste, I put a lot of time into that cosplay. Sure not a lot of material, and therefore not a lot of money, but a lot of time nevertheless.’
That brought another question to the girl of aqua blue hair’s mind; who did change her clothes? Probably whoever got her here, please let it have been a female…
Angel tried her hardest to remember the events from before her black out. She had just finished talking with a group she had planned to meet up with later, then she went over to look at that stall… Did she even make it there? She remembers doing so, but felt like she passed out before hand, she wasn’t saw why she would’ve randomly fell to the floor like that, so she assumed the first. She got there and then, nothing… No, wait, there was dialog, from a humanoid, they explained what this place was, and about Omnilium. But when did she meet him? Was he behind the booth? Did he and the surroundings just appear out of nowhere?
Angel groaned at a sudden pain in her head, maybe it was better to leave the jigsaw puzzle that was her memories alone right now and focus on the current situation, but where to start...
