Why is nobody playing these?
#1
There's a metric buttload of characters that nobody has played before or even considered playing - shoutout to all those "Help me choose" threads out there. Protagonists, deuteragonists, antagonists or semi-developed side characters from more media than any of us could ever watch and read, and I doubt that I'm the first to have wondered "Why is this character not taken yet?!"

The answer is obviously because we chose to play as different characters or make our own, and it just so happens that nobody, including yourself, feels like playing character X. But I'm still curious to hear, what are some characters that you think would be a great fit in the Omniverse that nobody has played thus far?

I'm wondering why Tony Stark/Iron Man is as of yet unplayed. We have a number of Marvel characters but Tony is arguably the 'protagonist' of the current MCU. Maybe he's hard to write or expensive?

Also, Geralt of Rivia. Kind of like Tony he'd be a difficult to write character in terms of personality but his moveset is very balanced for Omniverse purposes and he'd fit in well too, considering how the Omniverse is filled with monsters. Not to mention he's a well-known character. I'd say there's a lot of opportunity here.

I've always wondered why Doctor Who has never been picked. Personally wouldn't pick him because I'm not imaginative enough to deal with the character itself.

A list of characters that I think should have already been taken:
Slimer - ghostbusters - You get to be green and translucent and also the most powerful ghost of the ghostbusters franchise! plus you do gross stuff and judging by how icky a large portion of the roster is (looking at you pennywise-Wesker-Skeletor--Tearen-Emperor of Mankind-Deadpool-Okor-Kumoko) that is apparently a big plus when it comes to the OV!

The Blue alien that Obi-wan cut the arm off of in Episode IV - He's got a compelling amputee story just raring to go, and in order to get his revenge on the jedi and clean his life up, one could invent a compelling imperial story for him. Maybe even in the endless dunes, since that's close to Mos eisley

Cabbages man from Avatar - You get a cool catch-phrase and character quirks right out the gate with access to all these potentially amazing merchant talents! Already have abundant RP fodder shortly after beginning with a plotline involving going around and getting to know the farmers of Camelot in order to put together a thriving cabbage business!

Georgie - stephen king's It - If Georgie was to come back into the omniverse after his tragic death at Pennywise's hands, it could potentially be an amazing tale of sorrow, loss, and vengeance as the kid in the yellow raincoat takes his rightfully deserved revenge on the clown that smote him down! Potential end-game goals include trying to banish the clown for good, ending his reign of terror once and for all.

Clifford the Big Red dog - alright, time to get into the strong, combat characters.
First off, he's red. That's an awesome color.
Second off, he's BIG. this means you could potentially have a kaiju battle with King Ghidorah with him. Ghidorah Vs. Clifford! Clifford Vs. Ghidorah! It would be awesome!
thirdly he's a dog and I don't know about you but I think dogs are cute AF and would generally bond with most omniverse character.

Pizza the hutt - spaceballs.
As we know, Advertizements make you stronger in the OV. for those who doubt this, look no further than Yuuka and Whirda in the DA tournament. By sponsoring a product, you take on the power of it's accumulated worship by consumers - like a saint or cleric, if you will.
but if Yuuka and Whirda are Clerics... Pizza the hutt, by that ideal, is a god. He is literally. Pizza. He is the embodiment of pizza.
Drawbacks include edibility, but honestly most people on the OV are dirty cannibals as is so you're not really increasing your vulnerability as much. This place is gross.

An Actual Wasp - Real Life
Good for PvE stories. You may be small and limited in scope, but there is never going to be a single person on the OV who actually wants to get into a PvP match.
Until someone finally picks up Tsuyu Asui that is.

2 Actual Wasps - real life
Double the power. why not, really?

Chihiro's parents - Studio Ghibli
Really, I think this should be two people, but who doesn't want to run around as large pigs, eating everything in sight, sleeping wherever, all while possessing no complicated life goals whatsoever other than getting even fatter than one is at the present moment? The only drawback is that they're kind of gross, and given how many people insist on playing incredibly pretty characters (I'm looking at you Weiss-Ammy-Remilia-Link-Kuroji-Jaixe-Kuzuru-Larva-Schwi-Jade) that's apparently a drawback when it comes to Characters on the OV

I've talked with a few of our current Marvel cast about MCU Tony as a fourth character, actually! The big appeal of him to me is the way he's compelled to protect the world from an unseen threat he knows is coming after getting a taste of it. There's some meat to it with Diablo and the Underverse lurking below, but I'm struggling to wrap my head around it in this setting, still.

Avengers 4 has promised to be some sort of conclusion, so I'm going to at least wait that long. If the character is still available, I might be taking that one up.

._.

Overall I see a lot more OC characters or smaller franchise characters than larger franchises like Marvel, DC or Star wars. It'd be interesting to see some more canon characters that I actually know about for once from them.

With enough support I'd pick up the mantle and RP as fouseytube.

Honestly I'm surprised we haven't had a single League of Legends character as far as I can remember.

I think we had a Leona for a minute, but that was about it.

Harry was dating a blue caster minion in Costa Del Sol.

ALSO WHY IS THERE NO RAVEN?

Although I think we have a Blackfire around here somewhere, so close enough.

I KNOW why nobody picks Rick Sanchez; the incredible pressure to write a supergenius AND be funny all the time? yeesh.

I had big plans to make my alt a Volibear once.

I decided against it and beat up the Volibear instead.

Pretty sure the McNinja VS Volibear fight still exists somewhere in the archives?

Honestly The range of characters people pick for characters is so fascinating! Like it seems to be a trend amongst OV-ers (myself included) to pick b-list or even c-list characters from semi-obscure franchises

Like with the exception of Link, Luffy, Sasuke and Deadpool, (and MAYBE Clould, Harley Quinn, and Wiess, depending on where you put their franchises/their personal importance in their franchises) basically no one is playing the main protagonist from something a lot of people know.

We've all collectively agreed to pick the odder and more unusual side characters or just the most obscure franchise choices possible (glances at own accounts)

Like we have Shang Tsung, but not Scorpion or Lu Kang.
4-7 dragon ball characters but Goku was only a thing for a couple of months
all of these super heros, but spider man and batman are almost always unused (like I think Moon knight is our longest lasting one)
Gambit and X-23 but NOBODY has tried to be wolverine?

alright I'm rambling now, but I just want to point out that we have KOPAKA, a toy-based sentient robot with ice powers, but not batman.

we're a weird bunch

Dude.....Seriously you think people are going to choose characters like that.
People like Iron Man need a whole lot of work....Think man.....

The dude has issues.....Also Iron Man.....We have a Spider-Man here but I don't see him time to time.
Tony's heart one vicious shot to that chest piece and it's all over

:frog:
Oh, of course.
#14
I mean
The point of writing is to challenge yourself and step into the shoes of a different person
And the chest think... Omniphysics >.>
Probably also depends on which Iron man you play

Now
Why do we have chaos emeralds without any somuc charaters? There are 40+ charters, including playable and major characters that only appeared in 1 game
Then there are the boom and Archie universe which adds even more, and all we've gotten is sonic, and everytime they are switched or disappear a couple weeks later

Most of the characters that have stuck around and stood the test of time here have had a whole lot of work put in them. Why on earth would that leave them out?

Even ignoring the fact Tony can't die in a fight till the end due to the nature of fighting in the Omniverse, a disadvantage is not a bad thing as writing fodder goes in the slightest.

Sarah, I mean Iron Man would need a lot of Proficiencies and powers which could take some time and effort.
Perhaps...Too many are busy to take the Avenger on.
#19
I mean
To start off with all he would need is flight and ranged prof and a laser attack >_>

He other armour and stuff like that can come later

But there is someone else to consider thanks to Secret Empire. Frank Castle is now War Machine.
