CHARACTER NAME: Wisteria Blossom
CHARACTER SOURCE: Boku no Hero Academia OC
CHARACTER HISTORY: Wisteria hails from the world of Boku no Hero Academia - one where the large majority of the populace is born with some kind of superpower, known as a Quirk, that manifests at a young age.
Born to a father who could stretch elastic limbs, and a mother who had the ability to cause spontaneous flowering of plants, Wisteria's own Quirk served as a rough combination of the two concepts, with the addition of some mutations. Her biology changed, becoming a hybrid of mammal and plant, and she lost her previous arms and legs as she acquired new limbs. At first she was often awkward and uncoordinated, having difficulty controlling her innumerable new appendages - something she was often teased for. Although she eventually learned how to more easily control them, repeated embarrassments in the wake of her mutation pushed Wisteria away from other children. She retreated into the world of books, spending her lunches in the library, the self-imposed isolation only serving to further distance herself from her classmates and invite more teasing.
One day, on her way home from school, Wisteria was accosted by boys from her class and chased to an isolated spot in the nearby park. Jeeringly speculating on what it was plants liked to eat, they pinned her down and forced dirt into her mouth. After that, they forced her to eat a live beetle. They were on the verge of continuing, suggesting forcing her to eat animal feces, when a heroine appeared, apprehending the boys with a Rope Manipulation quirk. As Wisteria cried, the woman comforted her.
Soon after, Wisteria began to follow the heroine's activities, and then later, the hero system at large. She kept a few figurines of her favorites, and consumed heroic media - through books, comic books, movies and games. Despite becoming a fan, however, she rarely interacted personally with the fandom, preferring to constrain her conversations to online forums and chat rooms. She came to idolize heroism, and decided that she wanted to become a Hero herself - so that one day she could save some other child the way she was saved, to be someone's brightest light in the darkest hour.
She had just completed the application process for attending UA High when she was abruptly abducted by the Omniverse.
PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION:

In varying shades of green and purple, Wisteria's biology is altered, a hybrid of human and plant. She has lost her previous limbs and acquired a host of tentacles of varying shapes and sizes, as well as a passive floral scent that changes according to her mood.
Her legs are replaced with, on average, a set of ten tentacles, each tentacle - when at rest - a foot or so longer than her previous limbs. These tentacles take on varying shapes and functions.
With conscious effort, Wisteria is capable of inducing short-term metamorphosis in the tentacles, converting one form of tentacle to another for a brief period of time. The amount of stamina required to do this, however, is significant, and increases further the more a tentacle has to mutate.
Her arms are modified as well, radius and ulna bones disappearing, the lower arm splitting to form a flower-like bulb containing five large petals that can be opened and closed. The interior surface of these petals are covered with sensory cilia. Inside the housing are an indeterminate number of short, tapering tentacles.
Wisteria also has two smaller bulbs the sides of her head, resembling odango when closed, and exotic flowers when open.
In the event of catastrophic trauma (the loss of a tentacle), it is possible for them to regrow. In Wisteria's case, this process takes less than a day - though it is uncomfortable.
STATS:
ATK: 2
DEF: 4
SPD: 1
TEC: 3
STARTING PROFICIENCIES: Physical Strength (1000)
STARTING POWERS: Elasticity (400), Regeneration (Advanced) (2200)
STARTING MOVES:
Lower Tentacles (300)
Prerequisites: Physical Strength, Elasticity
Instead of legs, Wisteria possesses a large amount of tentacles, listed here:
- Three pairs (6) of Manipulators - long prehensile tentacles that taper off into tips. Compared to her other tentacles, they have limited sensory feedback, most sensory neurons packed into the tips for fine manipulation.
- One pair (2) of Graspers - Tentacles with bulbed ends. The outer petals are prehensile, able to grip around objects with her strength and act like a clenched fist. The interior of the bulb is covered in many short, pink, tongue-like nubs, each packed with sensory receptors - including those for taste and smell.
- One pair (2) of Feelers - Bearing a resemblance to Manipulators, one side of these tentacles transitions from smooth tentacle to the above mentioned cilia-like sensory nubs, though with diminished sense of taste and smell and a heightened sense of touch.
All ten tentacles are approximately four feet long at rest, but can be stretched through the use of her Elasticity ability.
Arm Tentacles (300)
Prerequisites: Physical Strength, Elasticity
Instead of lower arms, Wisteria possesses a large amount of tentacles inside her arm bulbs. They are individually controllable, enabling complex tasks to be completed rapidly, though this requires a great deal of focus to achieve. Wisteria usually finds it simpler to will the masses as a whole towards one task - in which case, they act similarly to arms. Like the cilia of the Graspers, these tentacles are also capable of taste and smell, and reach out to a length of two feet when fully extended.
Like her other tentacles, these can be stretched to become longer through the use of Elasticity.
