The weakness disappeared, as did All Might.
Teacher felt the sensation slightly remniscient of teleporting and then-
Absolutely everything.
When he could feel his body again, the world was... what the hell?
This wasn't infrared vision, or sonar. This wasn't any kind of visual quirk... not any that he owned, at the very least.
It was almost as if just... everything within a certain radius was simply known to him. Twenty meters, actually, his new Quirk told him. The colors, the smells, the smallest details he could wish to know...
It was a shame this new quirk was wasted on an utterly empty area. The floor was a flawless, smooth white surface, he could tell. He turned his new enhanced senses inwards, and the moment he felt he wanted to know any of the differences- why his pain was gone, for one thing, -that Omni may have caused he immediately knew.
He was in his prime, in a way. His Quirk was... different. Stronger and weaker simultaneously. He could steal powers by merely getting within twenty meters of someone now- but doing so wouldn't render them catatonic, and he wouldn't keep the powers permanently... But giving his powers away was so much easier, now. Still unpleasant, but it would not be the painful drawn-out process of pulling a Quirk free from his body and carefully inserting it into someone else and praying they don't reject it. The only downside was that it was impermanent. But he could work around this easily. It would be a shame that he couldn't simply keep hoarding power for himself, and the fact that most of the various Quirks he had stolen and combined over the years were gone was disappointing.
Fortunately, id did seem that the two combined abilities he had used in his final grand bout with All Might survived, in a way. Let's see... Musculoskeletal Coiling and Air Propulsion were fused into a new, single Quirk. Bonespear, and Hypertrophy were the same.
These new Quirks would be named... Arm Coiling Air Propulsion, as for Bonespear, the Hypertrophy Quirk was definitely a lesser component in the mix.
Teacher grinned, as the capabilities of his new body were revealed to him. New Quirks- simple, but quite utilitarian. Malleability, Growth, Mimic, Enhanced Senses, Insight, Teleportation.
It was a fine powerset, he decided. Now... how to find his way around this place?
"We got a new Prime." a stormtrooper reported into his helmet. "Unconfirmed abilities and nature. He- we think it's a he, this guy's face has seen some real damage- has just been standing around for the last few minutes since he was summoned."
{Can you send a picture?}
"Roger." the camera snapped, and the trooper waited for voice on the other side.
{He doesn't have eyes. He might not know where he is.}
"Why would Omni summon a blind man?"
{Why does Omni do anything? You're okay to approach. Regular levels of caution when dealing with a new Prime. You're okay to go.}
The trooper began walking forward, holding his weapon to his side, "What kind of situation do I go in with?"
{Diplomatic, don't scare him off.}
"Roger." the trooper moved closer, closer, and then froze, as the man turned to face him immediately once he came within a certain distance.
{Are you alright 8-0-12? Your heart-rate spiked.}
"Fine. Just... spooked me." he muttered quietly, before turning to the new Prime, "Hello sir. Are you new to the Omniverse?"
The bald, faceless man in the suit grinned widely, sending another chill down the trooper's spine, "I am, actually. Unfortunately, as you can probably tell, I'm blind."
"If you feel that you need a guide, I'll be happy to serve. I am a representative of the Empire of Coruscant, and offer you shelter and support in Coruscant, if you need it. The Empire is always glad to have more Primes on our side."
"Well... seeing as I'd be wandering in this endless void otherwise, I think you make a pretty good offer." Teacher said simply, walking past the trooper, "Now, this Empire... tell me, it wouldn't happen to be ruled by a supervillain would it?"
"Ah. You're one of those." the storm-trooper muttered, "A lot of Primes seem to come from different universes- and in some of those universes, there are movies, books, or stories about other universes. But Primes have apparently found that many of these 'fictional' characters they meet are quite different from their movie versions. Whatever happened in this so-called 'Star Wars', it is not representative in the slightest of Emperor Palpatine of the Omniverse. And bringing it up within Coruscant itself is considered rude. Possibly even rebellious sentiment meant to besmirch Coruscant's image."
"Ah, my apologies." Teacher said, his tone was regretful enough to convince the Stormtrooper, so the two of them continued without issue.
The security checks were simple enough- registering his name (He simply gave it out as "Rei." He didn't care much for the Empire knowing either of his Chosen names.), some personal information (Easy enough lies. "Rei" was simply a man who was born with a sensory Quirk letting him sense when objects were within a few feet of him, but was tragically and ironically blinded, forcing him to rely on it.) and getting registered as a Prime, which was different from a "Secondary".
The stormtroopers repeatedly implied that they wished for him to go with them, talk to officials, and get inducted properly into the Empire itself. They weren't too pushy, but he wouldn't be giving up his independence quite so soon. He would gather more information- and if being with the Empire was the place to be, then so be it. If they wanted his help so much, they could wait for him.
He slipped his 'escorts', but no matter where he went on the spacious, clean streets, around the corner would be more armored individuals. He felt them on the edges of his awareness. They weren't exactly following him, that he could tell with only being able to sense twenty meters in every direction. It was simply that they were everywhere.
When they saw him coming, they would step back, hanging at the edge of his awareness. So, they didn't want him to know they were keeping an eye on him. Fair enough.
He noticed the words "Lower Tiers express route" on a sign, and waited nearby. The people walked past him, the computers inside the elevator tracking identities as they entered. Soon enough, the doorway closed, and the elevator lowered. The digital display informed him- after almost a minute, that this specific elevator was stopping on Tier 2.
Teacher smiled, and stepped closer to the doors. Let's see... no cables, probably magnetic, walls there, good solid tube, very smooth though...
His body flickered, vanishing in a murky splash of ink-like substance. It disappeared soon enough as well, and Teacher felt the air howl against him as he materialized inside the elevator shaft and immediately began to fall down the dark, metallic tunnel.
As he fell, he reached out with one arm, letting the spikes of bone begin to grow. Reaching out, he jabbed the spiky arm into the metal side, and winced as the steel screeched against his spikes.
His arm grew more and more, and soon enough he was barely able to even bend it. Luckily, they were doing their job- slowing him down.
He caught up with the elevator soon enough, the box waiting at rest to go back to Tier 1, and slammed into the top of it. He was slightly shaken, but it would take more than that to knock him out. He focused on the signs outside the elevator shaft- and there, relatively nearby, was an elevator heading for Tier 3.
Would it be better to explore 2 first?
No. He would have enough time later. For now, he wanted to see how far this rabbit hole went.
He teleported from the top of one elevator to the top of the next elevator, switching shafts, and switching roofs. He sat down on the steel, and waited for the elevator to head downwards.
Teacher felt the sensation slightly remniscient of teleporting and then-
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully.”The creature disappeared, and Teacher felt everything melting away.
Omni hands you a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most.
“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn.
“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
Absolutely everything.
