[SYSTEM FAILURE]

Red lettering flashes on a black screen, a series of letters and numbers running down the screen. A steady noise accompanied the lines of code, a series of beeps that echoed through the entirety of the Nexus. Steam poured from disconnected tubes, each flailing till the clouds spewing forth started to die down. Still the beeping echoed, those two words clearly flashing at the forefront.

[SYSTEM FAILURE]

It was a tall cylinder, stark white to match the landscape of the Nexus. Blue liquid started to seep through the seams of a large panel that housed the blinking screen which sat at the center. Still the combination of letters and numbers continued, speaking with a language hidden to all those but the few that understood it. The blue liquid started to pour in greater amounts, jets of azure fluid spitting out and staining the ivory floors of the Nexus. Beeping continued but at a distorted pace and pitch before ceasing altogether, the blinking screen following suite, offering one more flash of red lettering before static overtook the screen and went dark…

[EJECT THE COND…]

The panel flew off with a sudden hiss and snap of pressure, sending it several feet to tumble and crash. Thick blue ooze rushed out of the pod, a human figure dangling from wires still attached as the last of the liquid spilled forth. Green eyes stared wide and bloodshot at the world and the great fountain before him. Mustering what strength he could, his breathing sharp and panicked, the man pried his arms away from the wires that held him. It was slow at first as he struggled, memory of seeing a smiling man with no other features clearly in his mind, but eventually he freed himself.

Each cable snapped away but the lack of resistance had him spinning and still suspended. A mask held his face tight, a clear tube dripping with the blue ichor connected to the device. Frantically pulling it away, a painful slurp accompanied the disconnect as a large amount of the tubing was pulled from his throat.

Slamming into the ground with a wheezing gasp of air, cobalt fluid splashing around him, it was all the man could do to control his terror. Small tendrils of electricity danced around his body, hinting at more to be unleashed before fizzling out. Crazed eyes darted back and forth as he struggled to get up, his body weak and his memory hazy. There were other figures around him but his vision was still adjusting to the sudden exposure to light. A white body suit, stained with the same liquid from the tank, clung to his skin. Shifting his body as he pushed himself up to his knees, he slowly turned to look at the cylinder from which he had come from.

Wh…what is…where...” Shū muttered to himself, his voice hoarse and strained. His eyes wandered, head swinging back and forth as he tried to take in his surroundings. Among the hundreds of questions he wanted answers to, one voice was clearly heard in the back of his mind.

I’ll be watching…

“Sir, everything is okay, you-” The voice sounded distorted, like he was speaking behind something or his voice was projected. Shū turned to see several men in white armor, holding odd devices in their hands. Visions flashed in his mind when he saw them, his eyes widening. Images jarred his memory, abrasive and raw, unfiltered by doubt and denial.

Red.

Fire.

Metal.

Red.
Steel warriors.

Beams of white.

Blood.

Red.

The one talking to him was startled when Shū let out a vicious roar, launching himself at the man and taking him to the ground. The other soldiers pulled their weapons up towards the shaman, making demands. Placing the man in a chokehold and taking note of how they were holding their weapons, Shū proceeded to seize the weapon and alternating between placing it against the soldier’s head and the others attempting to surround him.

Wrapping his legs around the soldier and trying to keep his body from being exposed, he was still trying to determine what was happening to him. All the while a smile remained in his head, a mirage that shaped an outline like staring at the sun for only a moment. Again more demands were made of him, Shū very violently pressing the weapon against the head of his hostage.

Back! Back!” Shū barked, looking around for somewhere to run to and seeing nothing but a great expanse of white. Other people were drawn to the sudden outburst, Shū noticing that some either had the same bewildered look as he did or were more amused by the turn of events than anything.

Sucking air through his teeth and still breathing heavily, the shaman tried to focus on his next move as the cobwebs of his mind started to clear ever so slowly. The soldier in his grip was trying to say something but Shū’s arm was tightly wrapped around his throat. Easing his grip and keeping an eye on the other white-armorer soldiers, Shū tapped the tip of the weapon against the helmet of the soldier. He had no interest in listening to metal soldiers.

Not sure what to do, he shook his head, attempting to clear it. Again the words of the smiling man entered his mind. One word stuck out, a shining beacon. Omniverse. Repeatedly he tried to make sense of the word. A location. A place. A world. Not relenting, Shū continued to press the weapon against the stormtrooper’s head. He was more concerned with what to do amidst the confusion plaguing him than the armed men pointing their weapons at him.

What to do…

Where to go…

How to survive.

Asriel looked around and saw he was in a place that was dark, darker yet darker. Where was Frisk? What happened? He clutched his head due to a throbbing headache. The goat kid couldn't connect the dots. One minute, he was talking to Frisk. Then, here? He didn't even remember getting here. Then, he saw a glowing figure in front of him. It said its name was Omni and it brought him here because he was an "interest" to it. What did that mean?

It wasn't fair. His kind was about to be free, but this man had to interfere. Asriel tried to scream, but nothing came out.

Some drivel about rules and Omnilium came out of Omni's mouth. Asriel could create whatever he wanted if he had enough, uh huh. Wait?! There were others? Then, he had to be careful. So, he was immortal again? Good to know. OK, he's leaving.

The darkness was fading away into a white landscape. He tried to knock out Omni with his magic before he left, but absolutely nothing happened.

He took my abilities away?! Asriel exclaimed to himself. I guess I have to reearn them with this Omnilium stuff. He must've had an ego trip when naming it.

Then, he saw he was standing next to a fountain and the darkness turned white. Asriel banged the ground and at the same time, some tears came out. He had a right to be bitter. He was seconds away from freeing his entire kind and this egotistical spirit took everybody's hopes and dreams away.

"It wasn't like I asked for this!" he yelled.

Screaming. He heard it in the distance. Through his tear-blurred vision, he could see a human holding another armored man at gunpoint.

"Stop it! I just want this to end!" Asriel tearfully pleaded.

It took a while for Alexander to regain consciousness, his ears were still ringing, his limbs felt numb for a moment before he could feel them again. Arms, legs, hands, fingers, feet and finally toes were still intact somehow which was a relief. Alexander sluggishly clutched his helmet while waiting for the disorientation and dizzying sensation to subside. His mind tried to reboot after what happened before being thrown into this place. All he could remember was fighting, gunfire, explosions, and then nothing but darkness. Did he die? Did the IMC kill him and his Titan? Where’s RC? Where was his Titan? And what of his comrades? What of Freya? All these questions and no answers left him merely frustrated, confused and a maelstrom of other emotions. When the sensation passed, he slowly sat up and surveyed his surroundings, or lack of for that matter since wherever he looked there was nothing but white. Nothing to use to get his bearings, no landmarks, natural or artificial scenery to differentiate the terrain and more importantly, no high ground to get a better vantage point. Nothing except a peculiar-looking fountain and figures, Alexander squinted trying to lock onto these individuals who looked, stranger, as his senses returned one by one.  Even with the aid of his helmet's built-in sensory systems, what he saw through his visor confused him to hesitation,

“What the fu--” Alexander muttered quietly, seeing what he could only describe at best was an individual who looked like a goat, an armoured figure and a Ninja who was armed and about to kill the armoured figure. Alexander saw the ongoing situation and flung himself to his feet, removed the mag-locks of his V-47 Flatline and rested the stock of assault rifle to his shoulder in a lowered positioning. Removing the safety primer on the gun, an audible whine signalled the power cell of the magazine in the weapon was armed.  The Atlean pilot rapidly returned to his soldier mindset. Assessing the situation, respond and if a peaceful resolution were unreachable, he'd intervene if the Ninja pulled the trigger. The Atlean sprinted past individuals, seeming like a hazy blur to them as he advanced towards the chaotic situation and stopped near the goat person with a sliding crouch. Raising his rifle, the Ninja was square in his rifle sights but had his finger away from the trigger for the moment. He had to try at least de-escalate the situation somehow as it seemed they were all just as confused as he was.

"Oi, ninja, you might wanna reconsider pulling that trigger if I were you." Alexander warned the armed individual with an authoritative tone. "You're confused and lost and I understand, frankly this feels far too surreal for my liking yet here we are. We're all in the same boat here, so let's just put the weapons down and talk it out, eh?" The Atlean spoke with a more softer, forgiving tone. Truth was he didn't understand what led himself here either, he didn't want a fight to break out and was prepared to share what little he knew with these people in hopes of gaining a better picture of what exactly they were dealing with.

"I'm Captain Alexander Blakesley, what's your name?"Alexander asked the individual.

A child that looked like a goat.

Another soldier only this one obviously human.

The outcry and the further demands from another party only caused Shū to tighten the grip around the metal soldier’s neck. Having a similar weapon in design, the new soldier was holding his weapon with trained precision. And in the same manner, though his finger was far from the mechanism the white-armored machines were very willing to use. Face skewing in confusion and irritation, Shū shut his eyes tight.

Another barrage of demands from the troopers forced a nervous tick on Shū’s right eyebrow. Energy in the form of valves began to release around his heart, spiraling up and in every direction. His breathing became heavier as his heartbeat continued to pound faster and faster till it would put a hummingbird’s to shame. Tendrils of electricity began to appear, licking about the floor before fading off.

Static took to the air, causing strands of hair to raise and goosebumps to breakout across skin. He understood what the armed man was saying, understood what the goat-boy had asked of him. No, what was begged of him. Their words made sense yet they seemed foreign to him, as if he shouldn’t understand. Another pulse of electricity built up, dancing across him and his captive. Shū could feel the man tense in his arms.

QUIET!” His voice boomed across the Nexus, a thunderous cry that had many people turning their heads. As suddenly as it had come, the electricity died out as if it was never there to begin with. Trying to get a good look at the soldier and the creature who looked just as distressed as he was, his shoulders seemed to lose some tension. Though the white-clad soldiers refused to lower their weapons. The shaman didn’t expect an introduction and fully understood the man was trying to deescalate the situation, something he was familiar with. He didn’t know what a ninja was but assumed it was a friendly saying. There was hesitation after his outburst but he felt obligated to respond in kind.

“I am Shū En’Asena, shaman of Aurora Basin and these things…” The last word was dripping with spite and a snarl as he angled the weapon against his captive’s head. “These things look like the ones that destroyed my home…”

Asriel knew what was best for him right now: he should keep his snout shut if he wanted to avoid harm. He was immortal, he knew, but he still wanted to avoid getting hurt as much as possible. Without his magic, he was as vulnerable as any other child. Besides, he didn't know about these men's history. He didn't know what was the truth and what were the lies. And that shook him to his core. He knew that his RESET abilities were gone, but he was so used to knowing the secrets of almost everyone in the Underground. But wait, could he bring back his RESETs with Omnilium? Ugh, this was so confusing. But he knew he had to just wait for answers.

Just then, one stormtrooper exclaimed, "Listen, I don't know what nonsense you believe in, Prime, but could you please let my colleague go?! I promise, none of us have ever done anything to try to destroy your home before. We don't even have Aurora Basin in our records."

Warnings flashed in his helmet’s Heads Up Display of a rising electrical charge in the air, this accompanied by the hairs on his neck standing on end made Alexander hesitate for a few seconds. It became apparently clear to the Atlean that there was much more to this individual who had the Stormtrooper held hostage than he initially thought. He secretly dreaded what secret super powers the Goat person was hiding, but he had a feeling he would find out soon enough. His train of thought suddenly and spectacularly derailed as a stray bolt of lightning came within mere centimetres of the right side of his face plate only to dissipate just as sudden behind him. Alexander slowly looked behind his back with a nervous chuckle before returning his attention to the Electrical Shaman. Truly this day was not to be his lucky, nor sanest of days.

Alexander listened to Shu and the Stormtrooper, considering their words he concluded that this situation was a mere misunderstanding gone moderately wrong. But he was relieved that a peaceful resolution was still possible after all. With that in mind, he clicked the safety primer to the on position, collapsed the frame of the rifle and placed it on the armour plating on his back. Mag locks held it in place to the armour plating on his back leaving one less gun pointed at the Shaman. Clasping his hands together he turned his gaze upon the Stormtroopers, then to the Goat person and finally the Electrical Shaman and his hostage.

“If what these soldiers are saying is true, then what we have here ladies and gents is a, minor, misunderstanding went wrong. But one that can still be corrected.” Alexander started, looking at the squad of Stormtroopers and Su. A chance to gain beneficial knowledge had just revealed itself and Alexander decided that now was the time to seize it. While he was no diplomat in any sense of the word, the Atlean knew that he and these two individuals needed every advantage they could get. Including Intelligence gathering, something he was familiar with all too well in his universe.

“Troopers, Su, I suggest a trade. Su, you give back their comrade, and in return, you troopers share whatever intel you have on this place, what are Primes, the basics since clearly some magical shit is going on, and don’t skim on the details. Deal?” The Atlean bargained with the Stormtrooper squad and Su. It was clear as day the opportunity to gain vital information about their surroundings was right in front of them. Alexander just hoped the Shaman played ball, trusting him not to kill the hostage when he was trying to save their lives. After all, he was still young; he hated the idea of dying before he can figure out what was going on and found a way to get home. If there was a way to return to the Frontier, then he was determined to take it.

The trooper made some comment about not knowing of his homeland and Shū seemed hesitant to believe it. He had been lied to so many times that it was difficult to accept even the simplest of statements. Yet willing to hand out trust was just a simple matter of who he was. He gave it freely and only questioned it when that trust was broken. The shaman had come across so many fantastical things in his life, what was so hard to believe? Was it that difficult to understand he wasn’t where he thought he was? Looking from the outside in, he was obviously the hostile element. The unruly one.

The madman.

However, this did not force him to be at ease. His grip was still tight and his finger was unknowingly close to the trigger, completely oblivious to how much harm the weapon could really cause. The silhouette of the smiling man popped into his mind again and it was incredibly jarring. Sweat beaded across his skin as a stillness took to the air.

It did not escape him that the soldier put away his weapon. A misunderstanding? Shū contemplated the words of this man, this Captain Alexander. The troopers seemed reluctant but one by one they lowered the weapon, a silent acknowledge of the soldier’s request. That left Shū as the only one still holding the weapon to his captive’s head. It wasn’t difficult to admit that he had the same questions as well, difficult to admit that perhaps these weren’t the creatures that burned his entire world to the ground.

Green eyes locked onto the captain, trying to measure him and weigh his words. Steadying his breath, his glare eased as he hoisted the stormtrooper to his feet. Shū pushed his captive forward and tossed the weapon to one of the ivory-clad soldiers. As his once prisoner stumbled and whirled around, the shaman stuck out his chest and clenched his fists at his side as if daring one of them to retaliate.

There was a long silence, others in the background starting to lose interest and go about their business till there remained the metal soldiers and the three strangers.

“A deal is a deal. What do you want to know?” The stormtrooper Shū had been holding hostage asked, raising his hand for the others to remain silent as it was clear a couple had protests.

Answers was what they had to offer but as the adrenaline in his system died down, Shū fell to one knee and threw up a great deal of the blue ichor he had been force fed for who knows how long. His body was racked with pain but he refused to fall as he looked up at the stormtrooper with bloodshot eyes. Despite the azure liquid dripping from his chin, Shū’s presence still exuded danger.

“Where…are we? What…is a Prime?”

One stormtrooper spoke up and said, "Well, this place is called the Omniverse. You three have seen Omni, right?"

Asriel, Shu and Alexander nodded.

"This place is his personal toybox. Anyone he summons here is designated a Prime. Primes have eternal life and the power to create almost anything in their imagination using a special substance called Omnilium. Now, Primes in the Omniverse are outnumbered by us, the Secondaries, those who are summoned or created here by the Primes.

"Now, people in the Omniverse can be from anywhere, anytime and any place. Just look at yourselves! One of you is a goat...kid...thing, and two others are a magical shaman and a technological fighter like us."

Asriel finally spoke up by asking, "Can we...go home?"

The stormtrooper sighed with pity toward the child. He thought long and hard before he said what he said. But the new Primes had to know the bitter truth.

"You will never, ever go home. Ever."

The stormtrooper stepped several feet away just then because he was afraid of the wrath of the Primes. His muscles tensed, as he prepared to run away if at least one of them went rogue. He knew their power and the potential they had compared to them, just mere mortals.

"What?!" Asriel choked back his tears and fell on his knees. "F-Frisk! Now they're stuck behind the barrier with that dog and Napstablook. Now, the monsters won't be free!"

At least he wouldn't be a flower again. At least the souls of the monsters came with him, so he will never be lonely. But is that any consolation?

Alexander reached for his tablet device, inputting the security code led him to the home screen then accessed what he assumed was this place’s version of the internet. While he trusted the words of these troopers, it didn’t hurt to verify what they were saying is true which he soon found out was. Relevant terminology, location names and names of the key players in this “Omniverse” were rapidly searched up; data was saved to his tablet for a debrief along with a more thorough investigation later. What Alexander found interesting were Primes and Secondaries, this rekindled hope that he could somehow reunite with RC or summon her to his side in this universe. He had no idea where RC had materialised in this universe, but he was determined to find her and together they’d help whoever they could on the road back home. After all, Alexander was a man of the Frontier and the Militia, they looked after their own and not afraid to help others if they requested it. Not to mention he needed company from someone of his universe, RC was his partner ever since she was assigned as his Titan a decade ago.

"Well, this place is called the Omniverse. You three have seen Omni, right?"

As the Goat person and the Shaman nodded, he followed suit, but the truth was; He had no memory of meeting this Omni so hearing this name was new to him. He turned his attention back to his tablet, gathering further intelligence on the Omniverse and more importantly, Omnilium, this substance could be worth stockpiling somehow. Another item on his newly created Omniverse to-do list. Alexander created a digital document for this list; he was certain he’d be using it a lot while he was here. Upon hearing that the Omniverse, and by extension, its inhabitants including Alexander, were little more than a toy box for Omni, the Atlean started becoming incensed at the idea that he was merely a tool of amusement for some powerful deity. But he remained calm enough to hear out the Stormtroopers.

”Can we...go home?”

Alexander decided to gain some fresh air as h his armour’s environmental controls confirmed the air was breathable. Uncoupling the protective seals connecting his helmet to the armoured gorget shielding his neck he slowly removed it. Once it was freed, the Atlean took in a deep breath of the surprisingly fresh air. He then attached the helmet to magnetic clamps on his belt before turning his attention to the rest of the group. Some of the Stormtroopers were immediately startled by the reveal of Alexander’s identity, something about the Atlean unnerved them. He looked far too young to be the rank he previously claimed to hold, yet there was a certain aura or experience around him. Alexander ran his fingers through his hair and itched the back of his head, feeling relieved to finally remove his helmet since he wore it for at least a day non-stop. However, that feeling subsided into dread as he noticed the Stormtroopers body language had shifted to that of someone about to deliver the mother of all bad news. The type of news guaranteed to ruin anyone’s day.

"You will never, ever go home. Ever."

As Shu and Asriel reacted in their way, the Stormtroopers now knew why they were fearful of the Atlean. Alexander tried processing this simple, yet a soul-rending fact, he failed. The previously accompanying Captain froze, not with paralysing fear, or white hot rage, or wailing despair. His youthful expression turned blank, physically the soldier was in his early twenties, in his prime. Mentally, however, was an entirely different matter. His eyes stared at some point in the distance robbed of their once silvery shine and replaced with two dulled unblinking grey orbs. None of the Stormtroopers dared to meet his gaze, it was like staring into a haunting abyss with no escape, but they knew why. Constant conflict always takes its toll on the human psyche, too much and the damage becomes permanent. The Atlean soldier had seen too much, done too much and endured all of that collected trauma just for a dream of returning home and live a normal life to be unjustly, and cruelly snatched from him. But all the sacrifices he made, the comrades he lost, the very home world he loved, fought and killed for was gone. Everything was gone. Even Freya and RC were ripped away from him by Omni.

It wasn't fair that he and the others that were contained within him were stuck here, Asriel knew, but he had to be strong. For Mom's sake. For Dad's sake. For everyone. He knew that the fate of monsterkind was in his hands. Paws? He stood up, wiped his nose with his sleeve and realized this Shu human would not take this news well.

Asriel also knew that he had to try to get his magic back in case he had to defend himself. So, he walked around 10 feet away from the group and focused on getting his flames back. He wanted it and sure enough, he soon felt the air around him heat up and saw the dance of fireballs near his arms.

"Well, at least my magic is back." he muttered to himself. Asriel sensed his nigh-omnipotent, godlike, status had disappeared and his abilities were far more limited. He also knew he had to get more of the Omnilium to get his God forms and his spells back. He decided to practice his fire to see how strong it was. So, he punched toward the ground, until all 12 fireballs were gone. The normally white area the monster targeted was now blackened from the char of the magic's heat.

The stormtroopers didn't need the Force to tell that the young boy was practicing to fight against the shaman, Shu, if he went rogue again. Even they reloaded their weapons. The laser guns gave off a shrill hum for a bit while reloading instead of the cock of a normal gun.

13 was walking away from the fountain when he heard screams. Turning around he saw some stormtroopers talking to a... goat thing? And two other people, he assumed omnis being talked to by some stormtroopers. Walking over to them he starting hearing the conflict. The main problem, of course, was that none of them were willing to use proper logic and were letting emotions cloud their judgement unnecessarily, he COULD have let this happen but his emotions were reserved for when they were needed. Getting out and reloading his pistol, 13 was surprised when he saw the goat thing setting his hands on fire. The next surprise was that the stormtroopers, who he assumed where NOT omnis, where getting ready to shoot them. Confused about who was going to get out of this more alive, 13 got out his rifle and starting setting it up. As much as he wanted to see how his emotional side would handle this, he decided that that could wait until he was strong enough to survive these risky situations. The bullet was in the chamber and 13 was looking down the sight, now he just needed to see how events played out.

Asriel heard the stormtroopers reloading their weapons and tensed up. He hoped there wouldn't be another confrontation. However, he saw a new arrival come up to them who was either covered in armor or a metal being of some sort. He also looked similar to Alexander and the stormtroopers. Then, the man audaciously began setting up a sniper rifle of all things! The prince sighed, as these things happening would probably mean a fight would break out soon. But he still wanted to try to negotiate with the new arrival. Trembling with a bit of fear, the goat walked up to the man.

"H-hey!" Asriel said as he tried to fake a jovial voice, but it didn't work due to how afraid and sad he was feeling. "W-we can talk this out! Please, p-put your weapon down. I don't want to have to hurt you.

"Y-ya know what I say? Try not to kill and don't be killed, alright? I guess killing is technically OK since we eventually come back after death here."

How did I know that? Asriel thought. I guess knowledge of the Omniverse just pops into your mind eventually.

He resumed, "B-but still, you should try any other solution first. Anyway, that's the best you can strive for."

Asriel hoped that he wouldn't come off as preachy and lecturing to this obviously aggressive new arrival. You never know how anyone will feel, especially in a stressful situation like this one. He genuinely had good intentions and wasn't trying to talk down to anyone. He was just striving to defuse the situation.

"I think we should all introduce ourselves to each other." Asriel said.

He gestured over to Shu and Alexander.

"The man wearing black is named Shu and the armored one is named Alexander. My name is Asriel. Asriel Dreemurr."

"Fine, I'll lay down my rifle but until these men leave I'm not getting rid of my pistol." 13 said as he packed up his rifle. "My name is 13-Jzall and I am from the forge world of Mars, I don't expect you to know where that is seeing as nothing here makes sense. If you expect me to give mercy realize that unless I want it, it is impossible for me to feel mercy or pity. Now that you know all I will be willing to share with you for now, tell me about yourselves." OOC: I accidentally made a different reply that I didn't like to ignore that one when it comes through seeing as there is no way to delete replies.

It startled Asriel to know that there was another Flowey out there in the man. He was someone with the ability to turn his emotions on or off, so he could disable his mercy and compassion during fights. But at the same time, Asriel knew in the Omniverse, as a Prime you could never truly die, so technically he wouldn't be killing anyone unless they were a Secondary. And also, he had to try to accept different philosophies and ways of thinking out here in the Omniverse.

"I'll go first." Asriel announced.

"All right." 13-Jzall said.

"Before you say anything," one of the stormtroopers interjected. "we aren't going to give out our past to you."

"OK." Asriel said. "Anyway, as you all heard before, my name is Asriel Dreemurr. In my universe, thousands of years ago, before 0 AD., the humans and us, the monsters went to war. The humans made the first attack against us because they were afraid of a monster going crazy and stealing a human's soul by killing them. Oh yeah, human souls also last long after death and continue to stay in the physical world unless very specific circumstances occur. If a monster absorbs a human soul, they will become a god-like being. A human can absorb a monster soul, but this has never happened, since monster souls usually are destroyed as soon as they die. Only boss monster, the type of monster I am, souls are different. Even so, our souls only last for a few seconds before destruction.

"The humans ended up winning in the war. Not a single soul was taken. Probably because in my world, an ordinary human could be a multiverse destroyer if they harness their DETERMINATION. Only a few monsters are that strong. Anyway, they took mercy on us and instead of destroying us, banished us in a mountain's cave systems instead. Their best sorcerers created a barrier, which people can fall through, but no one can leave unless they’re a being with the power of at least one human and at least one monster soul. Also, the barrier can only be destroyed if someone with the power of 7 human souls uses their god-like magic on the barrier. Anyway, thousands of years later, I was born to my parents, King Asgore and Queen Toriel.

"We lived a mostly happy existence underground until one other element came in. My adopted sister, Chara.

OOC: I'm calling Chara a she since Chara is female in the Omniverse.

"Now don't get me wrong, Chara was a good person. Good enough for us and the entire underground to love her. However, she accidentally caused many problems in the kingdom. She was a human who fell through the barrier in order to kill herself since she despised humanity. However, she survived and found us. Since there was no way out at that time, she decided to stay with us and we became siblings. However, that all changed when Chara formed a plan. A suicidal plan. She would eat buttercups, poisonous flowers, and when she died, I would absorb her soul and kill 6 more humans in order to absorb their souls and free the monsters. I didn’t want to go along with it, but she emotionally manipulated me to do it because she only had good intentions for the monsters and hated humanity.”

“When Chara died, I absorbed her soul. We took Chara’s old body and buried it next to the golden flowers in her home village, since she wanted to see them again someday.

“However, some humans saw us, assumed I killed her and attacked us. Chara took control of my body and attempted to murder them, but I retook control just as she was about to do it and I took the beatings without showing resistance.

“We ran back through the barrier because we were injured. But we died and our body turned to dust. Understandably, my father and mother were very sad and due to the stress brewing, they broke up. Also, Chara’s soul mysteriously disappeared.

“You might ask how I know that. Well, it’s because I came back to life some time later and was told this. The royal scientist was experimenting with what makes human souls tick in my world: DETERMINATION. She injected it in a flower to see if it would come to life. It didn’t work at first, so she put the flower back in my father’s garden where it came from. However, after she left. I came back to life. It felt horrifying and weird to be a flower. I eventually met my father again, but there was a cruel twist. I couldn’t feel anything except for negative or evil emotions. When he couldn’t make me feel compassionate, I ran away and found my mother, but she couldn’t help me either.

“Eventually, I tried to kill myself, but due to the DETERMINATION’s time warping abilities, I ended up back in the garden like it was a bad dream. Then, I saw everything the underground had to offer. I saved everyone. I killed everyone. I feel so guilty about what I did as a flower, but without feelings there was no way of knowing right from wrong. But, my ability to reset back to the garden and create new reset points held my life together without feelings.

“But then, something new happened, a human named Frisk fell through the barrier and in hours, they befriended everyone in the underground. I manipulated a skeleton named Papyrus to gather all of Frisk’s friends in one place: my father’s castle. Then I absorbed their souls and the 6 human souls my father had been collecting in order to try to break the barrier once he got 7. All of monsterkind’s souls equal the power of one human soul. I became a god then. But, I slowly regained my feelings as Frisk negotiated with me. I was about to break the barrier but return to my existence as a flower because I didn’t want to keep anyone inside me.

“However, this Omni interfered and ruined everybody’s hopes and dreams. I and the other souls inside me were brought here to the Omniverse. Now, I have to decide the fate of monsterkind.”

Asriel pointed at 13-Jzall.

“I have one plea for you. Please don’t act like I did as a flower. I was so evil and cruel then.”

"You seem to forget that morals are subjective, what might be appropriate in the time of war is different to what you should do in times of peace, it seems like when you were a flower your morals just changed. Fine, you seem trustworthy enough so here we go."

"As you know, my name is 13-Jzall I am a ranger from Adeptus Mechanicus who are a faction of the Imperium, we are a group dedicated to making guns, armor and vehicles to help the war effort and often keep the best to ourselves seeing as we go to war as well. Our primary objective is to learn everything there is to learn about technology, the warp and the xeno races of our universe so as to win this war somewhat faster."

"Before I came here I was a ranger, we are the sniper infantry of the Mechanicus, I was sent to assassinate The Beast who was one of the most dangerous orks to the imperium, orks are just like bloated, green, dumb humans who can still manage to somehow make functioning weapons and vehicles."

"I was lining up my shot at his exposed neck when suddenly one of his lesser captains saw me, unable to run I shot at him but the WAAGH energy kept him alive long enough to strike my down but not quick enough for something to bring me here."

"Something I should've mentioned earlier is our religion, the short version is that we have an Omnissiah who is the master of all machines. We believed him to be what the rest of the universe called the emperor or false emperor depending on who you ask where this gets complicated though, is that I have met Omni who COULD be the Omnissiah, I aim to figure this out in my time here."

"And that's mostly everything you need to know about me, apart from the fact that I am nothing like a mass murdering flower, I fight in war and I don't fight in peace, I kill who I must not everyone around and I listen to logic not to my emotions, unless the situation deems it necessary ."

To never return home…

Their reactions were to be expected. Everyone here seemed to have been ripped from their own worlds, pried free from the lives destiny would dictate. Shū knelt there for a moment as the others responded, an understandable cry from Asriel and what could only be considered as shock for the soldier, Captain. Gods playing with the lives of mortals was nothing new to him but that didn’t mean he was going to allow that as a normalcy. Overall, he simply understood. Somewhere in him, beneath the confusion, fear, and smoldering rage, was a man who spent his life serving others. Protecting them, counseling them, guiding them.

But it was difficult to come to terms with that part of himself, difficult to grasp the meaning of who he was when all that was there was, all there could be, was emotions churning on the surface. He was upset that he could never return him but at the same time he had no home to return to. There may have been survivors but that seemed unlikely…no, he knew deep down that was impossible. The last of his people had gathered in one place to rebuild…there was no escape.

A sad longing gripped his heart but he suppressed that feeling and decided to deal with it later.

Wiping the blue sludge from his face, he stood up but not before taking note of the behavior from the others around him. They didn’t trust him, saw him as a threat, and they had every right to. There was no longer any reason to strike out, sense was settling in though it was like trying to take hold of smoke. Every time he thought he could make things rational, blinding images of fire and destruction filled his mind.

It was understandable that they would ready their weapons. Understandable for the goat-child to take a defensive stance against Shū’s sudden movement. The shaman had no intention of harming anyone any longer but he didn’t trust those congregating around him. Especially when another soldier appeared armed to the teeth with weapons similar in design to others. It would take him awhile to understand they were all different, all unique in their own way.

Surely it was odd how this hub, this entry into this new world, was setup. A great expanse of nothing. Just groups of people, of these ‘Primes’ gathering together to assess their situation. This new soldier spoke his name, 13-Jzall. There was a boy from his tribe with a similar name. It was almost comforting to hear a name like one of his world but the number he said beforehand made it seem…twisted. Made unnatural.

And the was he spoke put Shū’s nerves on end. He eyed the stormtroopers nervously, fists clenched tight and looking for way to either flee or something to benefit him. The shaman tried to listen to Asriel’s story but found himself wanting to instinctually run. His first interaction with the denizens of this realm could have fared better.

Asriel’s story seemed an interesting one. To be denied one’s emotions was something alien to him. Calm and focus was important, reaching a state of spiritual clarity was familiar to him as well. But to be denied emotions outright? That was something too cruel for him to grasp. Even the spirits and creatures of his world felt. To have no compassion, no empathy, no desire, was to be less than an animal.

It was quite the harrowing tale. The absorption of souls was something he was familiar with as well…it was suited to wicked creatures. Yet it was difficult for the shaman to see this child as that. Several of the stormtroopers seemed uncomfortable with the story, the rest having no response at all. Just another Prime with powerful abilities and an intricate past. Each shift in their posture, each turning of the head or rolling of the shoulders. They weren’t difficult to read.

Something did bother Shū about what Asriel said earlier. There was no death here. He wasn’t sure he believed it but thoughts not of his own making were filtering into his mind. A slow trickle of things he had always known but that in of itself was impossible. It was an odd, invasive feeling yet natural. A truly confusing experience that he chose to ignore outright.

There was a small moment of silence after 13-Jzall finished talking. He found the soldier’s story fascinating but not something he could relate to. Again the denial of emotions was too strange a concept. Talks of such battles and of odd terms such as ‘vehicles’ was confusing to him. Shū eyed the others, taking note of Captain Alexander’s silence.

“I have nothing to say to strangers in a strange land. I appreciate your tales, Asriel and 13-Jzall, but I have no desire to share my story with any of you till I feel I am no longer threatened.” He let that settle for a moment before continuing.

“I have more questions. You, metal-men, why are you here? Are you here to welcome those that arrive in this world? What is your purpose here?” Shū declared, cutting off anyone who was about to speak. His patience was unnaturally thin but after being trapped in a container for what must have been many years and being awoken by a cosmic entity, there was very little patience there to begin with.

“We are here to maintain the peace as decreed by our Emperor. There are many Primes coming into the Omniverse every day, we ask those who need guidance to come join Empire Palpatine in Coruscant. There you will find purpose and meaning to your life here in the Omniverse.” There was no deceit in the stormtrooper’s words, no underlying meaning. He completely believed what he said.

Shū stood there, crossing his arms, wanting to know more or at the very least be away from this ivory expanse of nothing. Perhaps this Coruscant was a place to find answers…it was certainly something to consider and perhaps they had a bonfire for him to warm up to. He didn’t know what an Emperor was but he assumed it was their leader. A leader who could explain this all to him better than these metal men could.

Asriel had a strange feeling about those stormtroopers. Something about them rubbed him the wrong way, despite how earnest and passionate they seemed about their cause. Judging from their appearances, they came from some sort of futuristic place.

He wanted to go somewhere more down to earth, more like his home kingdom. Asriel decided to take initiative and begin the process of leaving the white void. He assumed correctly that the gates would lead to different places.

The goat child closed his eyes and spun in place to decide which gate he would travel to. When he opened his eyes, he was facing the Camelot gate. The stormtroopers realized what he was doing and angrily commanded, "Hey, don't go there! That's where our enemies, Camelot, live!"

Seeing that the situation was getting out of hand 13 thought it was time to leave, walking towards the Camelot gate he asked the goat to come with him if he wanted and continued to walk away, making sure to focus on the noise behind him, he unslung his rifle and was getting ready to fight if he heard gunshots or magic coming from behind him. He half expected Asriel to try to bring him back but nothing. He continued walking to the Camelot gate and when he was roughly 150 meters away he realized that he should try to catalog each of these prime's and secondary's powers in combat; he turned around and set his tripod, getting a feeling of deja-vu he aimed at each of their heads and waited to see what happened.

Asriel saw 13-Jzall aim his rifle at them from about 150 meters away and the stormtroopers ran away back to Coruscant.

One of them rapidly spoke, "Ya know, you can go wherever you want now! We give up!"

Also, Asriel exclaimed, "I'm sorry, 13, but you're aiming a rifle at our heads! That's not right! If we have to fight, fine! Just so you know, I'm giving to one last chance to surrender before we fight. I may not be a god now, but I have experience fighting beings with the capacity to destroy dimensions with a single hit!"

Tension had finally snapped.

Shū didn’t waste any time as the soldier and the goat-child engaged in battle. Slipping on the blue fluid still spilled on the floor, the shaman slid behind the cylinder canister he was spat from not long ago. Panic edged along his consciousness but he risked taking a quick look before wrenching his head back, a bullet flashing in front of his eyes as it ricocheted off the canister. Metal clashed and fire roared, the shaman letting his imagination play out the turn of events.

He didn’t know what happened to Captain Alexander and he questioned if the man was ever there. One thing was certain was that he had enough of this odd place and the insanity it spawned. Chest tight with labored breaths, that same breath caught as he recognized a faded word on his former prison…

Raka.

More precisely it said 'Raka Initiative' and the remaining words were of a language he didn’t recognize. Crashes and booms could be heard behind his cover as he tried to look for a way out. Many other onlookers had taken off or were utterly bemused by the change of events, something Shū couldn’t relate to in the slightest. Plucking a shard of metal off the ground, he continued to pry the nameplate off the machine. Muscles tensing and straining, the shard cutting into his palms and through the white suit hugging his entire being, the plate snapped off and slid across the ground.

Heat wavered from the direction of the battle with an intensity Shū regrettably knew all too well. Snatching the name plate and clutching it tight, a precious artifact that was the last connection he had to his world, the green-eyed shaman waited for the noise to die down before taking another peek. He spotted the retreating stormtroopers in the distance and squashed the doubts that were plaguing him.

Inner chambers within him unlocked, a valve released around his heart as an energy spiraled outward. Sparks danced in the air as he slid into the open and sprinted towards the stormtroopers. No longer were they metal-soldiers to him, they were to be his guide. Lightning whipped around him as he sprinted faster than he thought he was possible of, buzzing past many newly awakened beings and their own dramas.

Of course it would have been more helpful if they had stopped running from him.

Legs aching and still fighting off entropy, he lurched forward with another burst of speed and overtook the squad of soldiers. Skidding to a stop in front of the group who fanned out and pointed their weapons at him, Shū stood up, clutching his acquired item, and attempted to control his breathing. In the distance, near the fountain, the fight had died down but it was far away and out of his mind. For now, he had questions.

Power faded, the tingle of electricity playfully licking the air went with it. The lead stormtrooper marched up to Shū, his crude weapon pressing against the shaman’s chest.

“If you want a fight, we’ll give you a fight!” The trooper spat behind his helmet, his voice venomous, “Half the squad here was supposed to be on leave a week ago and we’re stuck here trying to recruit insane Primes like you and your friends. We can just take you down now so I’m tired of-”

“Calm yourself, metal man. I want to go to your world. I wish to seek answers there and I require your guidance.” Shū cut him off, outstretching his arm for the other to take. A machine wouldn’t recognize the gesture, the shaman mused to himself, eyes darting between the still heavily armed troopers.

There was a moment of hesitation before the trooper stretched out his hand, letting out a startled noise as Shū took him by the forearm and pulled him close. Tension was raised again, Shū immediately realizing he made another error in etiquette. Their leader held up his hand, ceasing any action from his fellows. A moment of looking at one another passed before he finally gripped Shū’s forearm in return and gave him a curt not.

He removed his helmet revealing a dark-skinned man, clean shaven and with a grizzled look of a veteran of many confrontations. Dark brown eyes stared back at Shū, eyes that didn’t belong to a machine. There was comfort in that and the stormtrooper could tell that as the tension had faded from the shaman’s shoulders.

“My designation is TRK-5420. My comrades call me Turk but you will address me as captain. Follow us. We’ll take you to Coruscant.” And with that the captain placed his helmet on and ordered his troops to follow, heading towards a great gate not too far in the distance.

Finally, he would be away from this empty place. Questions still swam in his mind, visions still haunted him and weighed down his soul. With a ragged sigh, he took one more look back and noticed that the fountain was nothing more than a speck in the distance. No bright flashes or loud booms. Just an awkward silence that suited the place.

Shū hoped he would never return but the apparition of a smiling silhouette in his mind suggested otherwise…
