This'll be my ongoing public workshop for Meruem moves. Feel free to comment or critique!
After rewatching Hunter x Hunter I've tried to retool his aura manipulation into something closer to how it works in the show, rather than a "slow charge" maneuver. I've kept the latter ideas to use similarly to how Gon uses his jajanken, allowing Meruem to stand still and focus when he wants to go beyond x2 power.
Tail (600)
A prehensile tail that rests at slightly less than Meruem's height (held upwards or curled) but which can stretch to up to double his height when attacking. He can use it to bludgeon, block or slash with the needle-point tip. In typical supervillain manner, when showing off he'll sometimes cross his arms and fight using only his tail.
Ryu ('Flow')
Ryu is the process of actively shifting one's aura to where it is most needed in battle. Generally this means the striking portion of the body (such as the hand, forearm or fist) or the intercepting one. By anticipating where an opponent will strike, Meruem can reduce the damage taken by shifting his aura to that spot at the right time. This is a very fast maneuver, taking less than a second to fully shift his aura to the right spot. The downside is that when he shifts a disproportionate amount of aura into a single spot, the flow of aura throughout the rest of his body is reduced or otherwise eliminated - leaving him totally defenseless and vulnerable to increased damage should the opponent change targets (ie feinting to the left, then attacking right) or otherwise attacking him where his aura is unconcentrated. The damage dealt and taken ranges from its normal, to up to double (when aura is focused entirely in a single spot).
Those with Enhanced Senses can see the flow of aura in Meruem's body. Otherwise, it is invisible. Meruem can split his focused aura between multiple areas if he wishes - for example, half to one fist, half to his other. (This might be useful if fighting multiple weaker opponents).
Gyo / Ko 'Focus' / 'Temper'
By taking his time to stand still and focus, Meruem can concentrate huge amounts of aura, up to ten times the normal concentration in a single body part. While doing this, the rest of his body is vulnerable, taking double the normal damage from attacks.
It takes half a second to increase the power in that body part to x2, another half second to x3, and so on, all the way up to x10. Meruem has to stand still to charge up, but can move without losing his accrued charge. This allows him to charge up if the opponent is distracted, then move in to land a killer blow with the charged part. Until the held aura is voluntarily released or discharged through usage, the uncharged parts of Meruem's body remain vulnerable.
Meruem could also use this defensively, by blocking a similarly-charged attack with a highly-powered fist (thus using up the attack), or using it to break through a weaker attack and continue into the opponent (this would naturally reduce some of the attack's power). Using this much aura can be very draining and it's unwise to be wasteful with such heavily-charged attacks.
Those with Enhanced Senses can see the flow of aura in Meruem's body. Otherwise, it is invisible. That said, Meruem does exhibit intense focus while charging in such a way, and has to stand still, making it harder to hide than Ryu.
Thrown Objects (Physical Strength, Ranged Proficiency) (300)
Meruem has never needed fancy abilities due to his sheer strength and innate skill. While another warrior might use a gun or a bow and arrow, if Meruem needs a ranged projectile he'll just pick up a small object like a stone and throw it with such strength and precision as to become equal to a bullet. This can be combined with Shu (below) to turn objects like playing cards into deadly projectiles.
Shu ('Enfold') (Buff Proficiency)
Meruem can extend his aura into held or touched objects, raising their strength and durability up to that of his own body. However, his overall aura has to be stretched to encompass the new volume, reducing his strength proportionately (ATK and DEF would be halved if he's trying to enfold an object the size of his own body).
This is a rather fast technique, like Ryu, taking a second or less to enfold most objects. Meruem can't imbue aura into a volume larger than his own body, but he might spread it out over a larger surface, like a wall, in order to strengthen it.
Once enfolded into Meruem's aura, an object is essentially part of his body for the purposes of Ryu, Gyo and Ko. He can use this ability to strengthen small objects like stones before throwing them. The aura imbued into an object will fade a second after it leaves his body, making it useful only for quick projectile attacks.
Writer's Note: This won't let me find any more 'incidental weaponry' than might usually be in an area. For example, if fighting in desert ruins, he might be able to find broken walls and bricks. In forests and woods, he'd probably find stones, sticks and the like. On a construction site, he might use a metal beam. Etcetera.
