Alexander Blakesley - Joining
#1
Character name:
Alexander Blakesley
Character source:
Titanfall/Original Character
Character history:
After their victory on the planet of Typhon, the Frontier Militia gained crucial momentum during Operation Broadsword. The large scale military offensive, codenamed “Broadsword”, had the primary objective of reclaiming worlds held by the IMC gather as many resources and personnel as possible to repel the inevitable massive IMC counterattack. The Militia fought to free the Frontier from the ruthless, profit-driven iron grip the Interstellar Manufacturing Corporation had over the populations. Entire worlds joined the Militia’s liberation efforts across the Frontier, even the IMC’s elite ARES Division and the infamous mercenary group, Apex Predators”, could barely maintain their grip as their enemy aggressively pursued them at every turn. However, in the Vatea System, the IMC was surprisingly defiant and repelled every attempt at dislodging them from the system. Vatea and its capital world, Atlea, couldn’t be allowed to be lost due to its strategic and symbolic significance to Militia forces. More importantly to forces who were born, raised and trained on Atlea and many other worlds and moons located in the System.

So three months after the Battle for Typhon, Atlean forces led the Militia’s spearhead into what would be one of the bloodiest theatres of the war. Alexander’s regiment commonly referred to as the “Wolves of Atlea” fought in some of the bitterest of the battles. Two-thirds of the Titan Pilots within the regiment joined at the tender age of ten, Alexander included, and the remaining third being aces who joined before the Battle of Demeter or defected to the Regiment afterwards. Casualty rates within this fighting force were especially horrific, each encounter a standard Pilot had an estimated thirty percent survival rate with veteran rates being significantly higher. Mainly due to them always battling a group of highly experienced Atlean Pilot aces who sided with the IMC. Fighting dragged on until Alexander and his squad raided an IMC facility behind enemy lines and discovered a plan to cripple Militia forces in the System. Using a modified device similar to the Fold Weapon on Typhon, the IMC would eradicate all traces of the Militia. The squad decided on eliminating it and take the plans to bring to their superiors. Their escape was found out and while Alexander’s squad escaped with the plans in hand, he and his Titan, RC-4246, were caught in an explosion which dragged them into the Omniverse.

[/spoiler]
Alexander is young twenty-three year old who is shorter than the average Human male. Standing at 5’6” unarmoured and two inches taller when armoured, due to the heavier gravity of his homeworld compared to most worlds across the Frontier challenging his vertical growth. Years of intense combat and a highly rigorous military training regimen has honed Alexander’s physique into an aerodynamically well toned, muscular but compact frame. While this would appeal to conventional concepts of beauty, what doesn’t is the fact that covering his body are scars of past battles each with a story to tell. Weighing at two hundred and ten pounds, the majority of it is battle-hardened muscle capable of performing superhuman athletic feats.

His raven black straight hair is kept with a low maintenance, rough and short hairstyle to prevent it catching on the seals on his helmet while on the battlefield. He has a rounded face with cold, yet expressive silvery eyes that can deliver truly withering glares if provoked. He has well maintained, somewhat thick eyebrows seemingly stuck in a furrowed state as if mildly annoyed or focused. Also are his teeth which are white but with canines slightly more pointed it's more noticeable if he smiles. His complexion is somewhat pale and youthful, which misleads people’s perception into thinking he’s more younger than his biological age.

Starting Moves:
- V-47 Flatline (300, requires Ranged Proficiency) A collapsible-framed Bullpup assault rifle from Alexander’s universe which comes with a single shot, a three round burst fire and fully automatic firing modes. While primarily an anti-personnel assault rifle, the Flatline is capable of penetrating armour and hard targets. Instead of utilising conventional projectiles, like the R-101 family of Assault Rifles, the V-47 Flatline uses clip-sized energy packs to fire energy projectiles at a target. These Magazines are capable of holding fifty rounds on the highest power setting which can penetrate armour, hard targets and vaporise Infantry but drain the energy pack quicker. Atlean models are modified to operate with self-sufficiency and effectiveness in mind, you could recharge them using any power source, even campfires but that risks damaging the power capacitors within the packs.

Two flaws exist with the V-47, one is while the rifle itself is cheap, easy to maintain and capable of using traditional munitions like the Kalashnikov of the 20th-21st century; The energy technology isn’t so cheap despite it being developed enough for use in combat. The second flaw is recoil, managing the recoil can be a problem as this weapon works best at mid to close ranges, but long ranges require the user to shoot in controlled bursts or single shots. After his last combat mission, Alexander’s Flatline took enough damage to force him to restrict its firing mode to Burst Fire to prevent a severe misfire.

- Data Bayonet http://i.imgur.com/mRCdW7J.jpg (300, requires Physical Strength) A close combat bayonet with a monomolecular blade capable of carving through armour and flesh with ease. In Alexander’s universe due to technological advancements, a wielder of a Datablade be it a knife, a bayonet, or short bladed weapon, the blade could access electronic equipment by flipping a trigger located at the pommel of the weapon. By activating this trigger, circuitry located within the blade is ejected to the tip of the blade, turning it into a data storage device, or as means to hack into enemy electronic networks, or even hack hostile robotic forces to turn against their allies. This particular variant of the Data Knife is unique as it’s only in use by Atlean Pilots and often dubbed as “Straight Silver” unique blade shine even when drenched in fluids.

I confirm that I have read and agreed to the Rules of Conduct.

These packs are capable of holding a hundred rounds on the lowest power setting, capable of taking down infantry-sized targets but struggle against heavier armoured targets, or fifty on the highest power setting which can penetrate armour, hard targets and vaporise infantry but drain the energy pack quicker. Atlean models are modified to operate with self sufficiency and effectiveness in mind, you could recharge them using any energy source, even campfires but that risks damaging the power capacitors within the packs. The clips if deliberately overcharged, can be utilized as deadly IED’s (Improvised Explosive Devices) in desperate situations or for pragmatic purposes.

So, just reading this, it looks like the assault rifle has three specific 'modes' of operation ('standard' power [100/clip], high power [50/clip], and super charged [IED]). We price Moves here based on how many variations they have (different uses/functions/etc). As it sounds, that cost for this assault rifle would be 900. However, that cost would put you over your starting OM, so you will have to rewrite the move so it's simply one mode of fire (you can always 'upgrade' it later once you've made some posts) or just wait to buy the current version (and just stab the crap out of people in the interim).

Let us know and we'll get you set up.

I've decided that 50/clip would be the best idea for now.
