Reunion of Rogues
#1
"Holy hell...Snart..." Mick says. "How did you get here...?"

"A certain scarlet speedster summoned me in his sleep." Cold responds, twirling his namesake weapon. "Who brought you here? Is the guy in red still running around?"

"The white guy dragged me into this...Omniverse...place." the ex-Rogue says. "Wait, did you say the Flash...Summoned you?"

"It's a thing Primes can do. In other words, the guys Omni dragged here, kicking and screaming can create life." Snart remarks.

"One has to wonder who the genius was that came up with that idea." the arsonist adds. "Also, you said the CPD..."

"Aren't exactly pushovers? Yes I did. I've heard a lot of talk of the Speedster returning to Coruscant, only to get kicked out later on over him doing what he does best. He hasn't been seen since." Leonard explains, walking closer to Mick. "They're certainly more equipped to handle people like us than they were back home."

"I guess that's a cause for concern." Mick responds. "How did you survive in Coruscant this long?"

"Had to sneak down to the lower tiers, where the law enforcement doesn't show up often. A disguise was involved." the Rogue leader continues. "Since then, I've laid low, tried not to grab their attention...'Borrowed' supplies from gangs to survive."

"I essentially slaughtered the Black Hat Gang. The building with the burnt-down door is where they were. There's a bottle of water in there, if you need it." the arsonist says, nodding towards the Black Hat building.

"You can just summon supplies. Diving in there and risking getting shot if Monelli's in the house is pointless." Snart states.

"If he is in there, he's probably dead, like just about anyone else in there." Mick says.

"Bravo, Mick. You've set everyone you met on fire since we last saw each other, didn't you?" Cold asks.

"Not on tier 1. Too many guys with guns in one place." the hot-headed Rogue responds.

"Yeah, a protip for you; don't mess with the Stormtroopers." his partner advises. "They aren't exactly the nicest people."

"So, what now?"

"Well, we can try to build up reputation amongst the gangs. I have a bit of street cred, but that only amounts to not getting shot immediately. I normally see employment up on tiers 4 and 5, though getting hired for something down here isn't entirely uncommon either."

"I guess that's a good idea..."

"We should head to tier 5. Less Stormtroopers to worry about, and some of my better jobs have come from there." Snart says. He points towards the elevator. "Let's go, Mick."

Snart starts walking towards the elevator, tucking the Cold Gun away inside his parka. Mick follows suit on both fronts, ready to get this done with.

The elevator enters Tier 5, opening the entrance. The Rogues walk out, Mick giving himself a minute to take in the change in area. Buildings are metal and post-modern, compared to the elevator he emerged from.

"Well, what now?" Mick asks.

"I'd say we get some rest." Snart responds. "May not be a good idea to go running around, burning things on command in your current state."

"What are you talking about?" the arsonist inquires. "I'm full of energy."

"You got shot by a Stormtrooper..." Cold says, gesturing towards the burn mark on his leg. "And then you took on the entire Black Hat Gang. Something tells me you got your fair share of bruises and scrapes."

"How did you figure out the Stormtrooper part?"

"I know you. Anything that holds authority, you provoke. Sometimes through arson. Sometimes directly."

"Point, Snart...But this ain't a video game. How am I supposed to recover?" Mick asks.

"The Omnilium stuff can also heal wounds, if you use it long enough." Snart explains. "Or, y'know, you could maybe go look for a hospital, but good luck with that..."

"Omnilium can do anything, can't it? It's the swiss army knife of the Omniverse."

"Yeah. Anyway, I'm thinking we get some rest." Snart says. "I've navigated this street before. There's a hotel somewhere around here, owner doesn't ask questions."

"Sounds perfect for us." the arsonist responds.

"Let's go, Mick."

The two rogues walk down the street. Most of the buildings aren't quite interesting, but Snart fixates himself on one. There's a sign clearly advertising it as a hotel, right next to the door.

"Let me guess; this is the place?" Mick asks. Snart doesn't respond with words. Instead, he simply pushes the door open. The interior design of the building looks as post-modern as the outside. He approaches the counter.

"Two rooms for the night." Mick says.

"I'm gonna need proper payment." the hotel owner responds. "10 Omnilium for each room."

"Omnilium is a currency here, too? How do you even count it?" the arsonist asks.

"Just summon a 20 OM bill and get this over with, Mick." Cold says, in the back.

"Fine, fine." Mick focuses, and starts summoning an object. The Omnilium emerges from him, and starts to take the shape of...A 20 OM bill. "This should cover the cost for the night." the hot-headed Rogue says, placing the bill on the counter.

"...Here are your keys. Rooms 203 and 204." the hotel owner states. He hands the two keys, with the room numbers engraved on the metal objects.

"Got it." Mick says.

"Let's go, Mick. We've got a long day ahead of us." Cold says, starting to walk upstairs. Mick follows, ready to get some sleep.

Mick wakes up slowly, with a bit of a headache - understandable, given what he'd been through - and looks around, not quite remembering where he was. The same post-modern design as the streets of the city, with a small bedside stand with a lamp and the key on it, a bed, and a table with a chair.

Then, memories return to the Rogue...This is the hotel room he bought last night...Last night. The first good sleep he's had in a while. Though, to be fair, Snart and Mick's hideouts back at home weren't exactly luxury. He gets up, grabbing the key, and opens the door to the halls of the apartment, walking down the steps to the first floor.

"Sleep well?" the employee asks.

"Yeah..." the arsonist responds, placing his key on the counter. "Any idea where Snart is?"

"Your friend woke up an hour ago, placed the key on the desk and took the door out to Tier 5. No idea what he's doing now." the man responds, taking a few quick puffs of a cigar.

"I guess I'll see if I can find him."

Mick steps out of the hotel, seeing about finding Snart.

---

A half an hour passes as the Rogue continues to search for his companion. Suddenly, someone taps on his back. Turning around, Mick sights the companion he's been searching for.

"If you're looking for me, Mick, I'm right here." Snart says.

"Did you find any jobs?" Mick asks.

"I found a couple chores, but nothing that suits our particular set of skills." the Rogue leader remarks. "What about you, did you find anything?"

"I was focusing on finding you." the arsonist explains, taking a look around the city that is tier 5. Cars are cluttering the roads, and the metal and glass structures are across the street. There's an alleyway further down the street.

"I was searching for some jobs we could do. We're gonna need a lot of Omnilium." Cold says. "And it doesn't exactly grow on trees."

"I guess you have a point." Mick responds. "I'll keep an eye out."

"For the type of jobs we lead, I think alleyways would be the best choice. Out of Imperial eye." Snart says. "...And keeping things out of Imperial eye is crucial."

"Understood." Mick responds. He then walks towards the alleyway he saw. "I'll check here, you check any alleyways you find up ahead."

"On it, Mick." Snart says, walking off as well.

Mick enters the alleyway, his boots creating sound with every step he takes. He sights a girl - dark red hair in that kinda emo-looking hairstyle that covers one eye, black blazer over a similarly-colored tank top cut halfway, and similarly black jeans, with shoes that are - you guessed it - black.

"Looking for work?" the girl asks.

"Yeah..." the arsonist responds.

"I think I might have a job for you."
