Okay, so, I’ve been VERY disappointed with what I’ve seen here. Like, seriously! You’ve got ‘Heroes’ and ‘Villains’ babbling at each other, idiots running around the Nexus sharing their schemes with anyone who happens to have a pointy helmet…

No, no, no, this won’t do.

Where I’m from, we did Villainy right (and YES, it IS something you put on your business cards). We had a galactic leaderboard to keep track of who the greatest actually is. This helped keep everyone honest and let everyone know who the major players are. That way, you knew if the person you are talking to can back up their smack talk, or if they are just a sandwich with delusions of grandeur.

I’m going to do you people a favour and put one together myself. You want to know how I score it? You want to know how to earn points? You want some insight into whether this system will be fair and just?

TOO BAD.

You people have had more than enough time to organise something like this already and you've dropped the ball, so I get to make the decisions now! Do something you think is worth points, you let me know, I increase your ranking. Or I don’t. I’m clearly one of the few people around here with any sense of judgement whatsoever. You can like it, you can hate it, or you can go set up your own leaderboard, which will make you look lame, desperate and pathetic.

‘But Lord Dominator’ I hear you cry, ‘What makes you so great? Why should we care what you think?’

Well, you don’t have to. But any real, professional Villain knows that half the point is the respect and admiration of your peers. So, you can ignore it if you like – but you should know that not everyone out there will. 

Do you really want to be part of a list without being at the top?

That’s what I thought.

Submissions are now open. The starting positions will be published in 14 days. Contact me through the Dataverse to make your case for inclusion. Evidence will help your argument. Some of you are big enough and scary enough that I've already started to pencil you in, because I know who you are and that's worth something.

You absolutely can make submissions for other people. Heroes, if you want to let the world know about some dark, terrible threat who beat you up and stole your lunch money, this is a great way to achieve that.

And don’t bother trying to threaten, intimidate or pull one over on me to increase your ranking. That’s just tacky. Tackiness never increases your ranking.

You are welcome to attempt bribery, of course.

While I am virtually positive that my operator would not approve of such a thing, as he is notoriously opposed to anything even approaching what might be called...ahem, 'fun', I find it to be quite a wonderful idea! Keeping such a list should certainly give the types who are of a mind to harbor villainous inclinations and make themselves known in a broader sense more active and suitably grandiose to bring attention unto themselves.

And such a thing can only make it easier for the interests and activities of one in such a position as my operator. Perhaps he may not be so opposed to this as originally thought! That would certainly be one thing he isn't entirely against, and there are precious few of those. Ah, well...neither the time or place, I suppose. But either way, I at least will be certain to remain apprised of this listing as it finds itself built up!

I like this idea. It'll give me something to do once I get my shit back in order. I guess bad guys are easier to deal with if they openly announce who they are and what they've done. Hell, might even pick up a few bounties as a bonus.

Omniversal Villain Leaderboard

1) Omni – 1,000,000– In case any of you have forgotten, this guy has trapped us in a prison of his own design. 

2) Emperor Palpatine – 100,000 – Credit where credit is due, The Empire are the undisputed powerhouse in the Omniverse right now. No idea what he did to get it that way, but it can’t have been anything good. 

3) Count Dracula – 95,000 – Have you seen his castle? Super creepy.

4) Judge Dredd – 74,980 – I heard he killed a puppy once, because there were no dogs allowed. That’s classic.

5) King Koopa – 63,312 – This guy! This guy! I love it! Seriously. He’s got an army of killer turtles and the will to use ‘em. Watch this space!

6) King Aragorn – 62,201 – Personally, I find Camelot boring. But he’s power #2 so I guess he deserves a decent starting rank. 

7) Wartortle – 60,111 – Some sort of turtle terrorist? Sounds like a wannabe King Koopa to me, but he got a lot of write-in votes. Mostly in crayon, but still. See how fair I am?!

8) Triel Baenre – 49,922 – I kind of wanted to put the Terrasque here, but it is dead? And probably not sentient anyway? Rumour is this lady had something to do with it. If she can control giant death machines she deserves a decent rank. Confirm it to move up, Baenre!

9) Doctor Gero – 49,850 – There were a lot of rumours about this guy too. Mostly though, he seems pretty behind-the-scenes. He’s going to have to step up if he wants a higher placing.

10) Andrew Ryan – 45,583 – He’s a rich guy. Rich guys are evil.

11) Karl Jak – 43,312 – Surprisingly difficult to find out much about this guy, but he’s also rich – see ‘Andrew Ryan’ for more details.

12) Princess Bonbon Sunshine – 42,211 – Would be higher, but she pissed me off. Still. Blowing up orc babies. Gotta give her points for that. 

13) Ballad – 39,110 – He’s killed a whole bunch of people. Like, a lot. Both factions gunning for him and still not dead? Nice.

14) Doomguy – 38,000 – His name is Doomguy.

15) Mysterio – 37,412 – This guy is a class act. I eagerly await more.

16) Scarecrow – 35,602 – Well, you can’t deny his spirit. He’s trying, bless him. 

17) Guu – 21,122 – She annoyed a little kid. HAH!

18) Chara – 18,023 – I’m not sure about her. She seems dangerous, but she could just be crazy. Wait and see I guess.

19) Gildarts – 15,322 – Highest body count on the bounty board. It is a testament to how lame you guys are that just ‘killing people’ is enough to place this high.

20) Warren Zimmer – 12,211 – Have you heard? This guy is trying to start a war! Come back when you’ve done it. 

21) Joe – 11,103 - He’s kind of a dick.

22) Diablo – 6,666 – This guy was supposed to be some sort of big deal, but guess what, you don’t get many points when you are dead and irrelevant.

I will definitely reconsider my rankings based on the vague implications of an entirely anonymous random individual! Especially one who couldn't be bothered to get in touch with me in the TWO WEEKS I gave for people to have input!

You want to provide any evidence or details to back up your words, or shall I just assume I should read your post with Ominous Chanting in the background and that's as good as it is going to get?
