Welcome Hero Maker mk. III
Here you will find a Comprehensive* system for randomly generating folks of the super powered kind.
Roll 1d6 to determine number of powers, then roll 1d4 to determine if you have a weakness. A roll of 4 requires you to roll on the weakness tree. A power roll of 5 or 6 automatically requires you to roll on the weakness tree.
After determining powers and weaknesses, roll once on the Origins table to reveal the source of your powers.
These tables are not designed to be fully comprehensive of all possible powers and combinations. It is an exercise in exploring how you can tie random character elements together into a cohesive narrative.
POWERS
Any power marked with a * requires an additional roll to discern the version of that power. Any power marked with a ° automatically requires you to generate a weakness.
AURA CLOAK:
List the heroes you come up with below! Remember, the first one you generate is the powers you would really get if this was really real for real. :frog:
For powers, I got Weather Control, Radioactive Manipulation, Astral Projection, Flight, Animal Empathy, Necrotic Melee.
My weakness is Monstrous Rage.
My powers are from an Angelic Oath.
I am Bethselamin, the Disciple of Repose.
Born into a life of poverty, Samuel Hadanna was taken into a monastery run by a sect of Monks who revered the natural world as sacred and in need of protecting. Taking on the name Bethselamin, the young boy quickly internalised the holy naturalists' dogma.
After leading a long, full life of devout worship and sacrifice, Bethselamin, or 'Selam' to his friends, eventually fell ill from an unknown ailment. Accepting that his time in the living world was over, Selam passed away and was greeted at the Pearly Gates by the Angel of Death; Maschit. There, Selam was offered a choice; ascend to the highest heaven, or live among the people of the Lord's Earth, as a herald and divine hand. Always eager to serve on the Lord's behalf, Bethselamin chose the latter and was returned to the world of the living, healthy and strong...but also more.
His angelic connections to the world gave him intuitive control over the weather, and the ability to summon the beasts of the earth as allies in his times of need. This was on top of his already angelic traits of having functional wings and the ability to traverse the spirit world on a whim. It was given as his duty to ensure the natural cycle of life and death was preserved in the world, and that the natural earth was not twisted by man.
All was not entirely well, however. It wasn't long before Bethselamin discovered that he must be ever-vigilant of his thoughts and emotions. Wrath driven by anger, or any thought of egregious violence warps the gifts bestowed by Maschit, turning him into a rampaging avatar of destruction.
In this form, waves of natural, yet very deadly waves of radiation wash outwards from his body, incinerating most things in his immediate vicinity. In addition, the Angel of Death's influence becomes so unrestrained, that his very limps and rot and destroy living tissue at a touch.
Horrified of the potential of this dark side, Bethselamin must struggle to remain serene and kind, all while battling against those who would disrupt the natural order...

And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued
