So a lot if us are students, a lot of us work, blah blah blah. Tell us about that! What do you do for a living right now?
Right now I work as a medical filing clerk for the National Guard, with a side gig as a triggerpoint therapist and do my own thing as a tabletop game designer. I'm gonna be publishing a LARP and a tabletop RPG in the next year!

I am into my third year at high school, and am about to finish on Thursday next week. I don't have an official, legal job but I do help my Taekwondo instructor run the younger kids' lessons and I do get paid. Apart from that... nothing.

I do IT work for a hospital currently. I got my bachelor's in Biology recently and I'm aspiring to go to Med school. Keyword being 'aspiring', because HOLY FUCK it's competitive.

Teaching kids classes is good with for the higher belts! Good work, Lubbock.
You might look into Physician's Assistant work, Kakashi! It's a good job with a lot of opportunities for people who can't swing 8-10 more years of schooling.

Haha, I was in the same *aggressive shrugging* phase in my college years. If we're honest, I'm still pretty aggressively shrugging.

Well, right now I am a proud shitty cashier at wal-mart. I student at a high school in a small town and I (for the most part) hate it. However, I have plans to attend college and junk. Any advice on that, I will gladly accept. I'm considering going to a Junior college, for basics, mostly, but I'm not sure yet. I kind of want to write, but there's not many jobs that have need of a creative writing major. So, I've considered being a journalist or something of that sort. I'm shitty at math, so I couldn't be a programmer, but I also would love a job in the videogame industry. I dunno what I want, to be honest, but I want to get as far away from this town as possible xD

I am not a paragon of life choices, but I'm rally in favor of job skills training in-lieu of traditional college.
I LOVE college, because I love learning for the sake of learning. I read text books about bee keeping for leisure. Being in a place where I can gather esoteric and mostly useless knowledge is awesome for me, and I believe it to be a noble pursuit.
That said, I would have no illusions about college directly leading to employment. You need a degree to flip fucking burgers in this day and age, but its quickly becoming a moot point. The amount of money you end up paying for college it's... grotesque, at least in the states, and it's not rally WORTH it if you end up answering phones for $10/hr.
So I suggest job training. Mechanics, welding, air traffic control. There are even some college chooses that directly lead to employment, like nursing and SOME education courses.
tl;dr: Get vocational training over college for work, but still go to college to make yourself a better person. It can probably wait though.

I don't really do much but schoolschoolschool. I'm unemployed, in my senior year of high school, and I've managed to get a scholarship that pays for all of my schooling as long as I maintain my testing scores. I'm going into general studies at first, so I'll cover all of my basics at this college and maybe become an art teacher? Or I could transfer after my first two years. This college is very close to home, literally across the street from my high school, so it won't be a huge stretch for me.
Other than all that though I'm pretty hard-pressed to keep my grades ~*perfect*~ in order to graduate with highest honors and stuff. Which isn't too difficult when I don't have work to worry about besides maybe preparing enough pieces for my AP Art portfolio. I volunteer as a library aide, I guess? :frogbon:

If I'm not the youngest on the site, I am sure to be one of them. I go to a grammar school (technically, it's a 'selective academy' but all that means is that we get more money) at a middle school level in England.

That's dope though! To be at school and writing creatively on the net is a great way to grow as a writer

Right now I work as a Graphic Designer and print manager at a small two-man printing shop, one of those men being me. It's a good gig; I get to apply my degree, dabble in business management, and make lots of contacts. I can also fax like no one's business.
However, I still technically have a job as a care provider for a pet care company, mostly as a back up in case the regular walkers are swamped.
I also do art for money about once a month, but I'm also trying to get more work on the weekends and maybe evenings as a holiday temp, because the never ending need for more and more money demands that I spend %90 of my waking life toiling too hard for not enough money.
Merry CHRISTMAS.
And, we dream of home I dream of life out of here Their dreams are small My dreams don't know fear I got my heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told How impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued

@ Bandit w/ No Name
Thanks, mate. I also write other things in my free time (I'm finally gonna include Stu in something outside of the Omniverse at yoghness.wix.com/samyogh#!the-fegensulans/dp9sg) and I occasionally write songs (something comes out on 18/01 at samyogh.bandcamp.com/)
Hate to plug, sorry :/

I'm a product control inspector for a refrigerated food warehouse. It generally consists of looking at over 1500 individual pieces of product (meat, cheese, frozen foods, etc) a night and ensuring the people who ordered the product are getting the right shit. It's super simple, but the hours are inconsistent and I'm on my feet on concrete in 40 degree weather for 6 to 14 hours a day, 6 days a week.
I also used to fix helicopters for the Army.

I am a member of the RCN (Royal Canadian Navy), specifically my job title is a NES Op, and no it does not stand for Nintendo Entertainment System Operator, though I wish it did. It is Naval Electronic Sensor operator.
What do I do specifically? This stuff.
I used to work for CTV Regina as well back in the day, production side on the news. I like my military work more, but I am thinking of going back to school to get a degree instead of just my college diploma and trying to get into the Public Affairs office.

Quality Control for a plastic factory. I also have a degree in Software Design with a major in Video Game Design from Westwood College.
My job title in the Air Force was Infrastructure Technician. I made the internet and phone lines were properly set up inside buildings and the servers that supplied those services were configured correctly.
