Yo, so this is a totally optional, NON-MECHANICALLY ENFORCED, COMPLETELY OPTIONAL PARTICIPATION idea.
Basically, it's a PvP flag. It says, "I would prefer to," or "I would prefer NOT to" participate in random site PvP. This is NOT an excuse to bitch and whine if somebody attacks you, you're just letting people know your PREFERENCE so that they can choose whether or not to ignore it.
If you would like to participate in this project, know that if you're carrying Artefacts, you should automatically flag yourself GREEN. The only way anyone else can get those items is to fight you for them, and having them circulate between friends is almost as bad as one person having it all to themselves. Either share the love with somebody else, or realize that somebody's probably gonna want to fight you for it.
Just copy the PvP flag you want into your Profile somewhere visible, preferably near the top. Don't whine to people about your flag status if is hidden by a Spoiler tag or at the bottom of your Roster.
If you're opting in to this little program, please post that you are participating here! I'll try to keep an active list going with your status by editing this post.
No promises on me keeping up, but if you post here people can at least Search for your status.

RED is to signify that you'd rather if people messaged you first before engaging in PvP, so that you can coordinate, or to figure out plot stuff ahead of time. Some people use this because they'd rather focus on story than competition.
BEING RED DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU DON'T EVER WANT TO DO PVP, ONLY THAT YOU'D LIKE TO BE MESSAGED AND COORDINATED WITH FIRST. This makes it a good choice for people who would like to work with their attacker, are new to the system, or who are in the middle of a story and would prefer to work something out at a more more convenient time, or anyone who would just generally prefer a heads-up before anything goes down.

YELLOW is strictly for transitioning from one Flag to another.

The GREEN flag signifies that you don't mind being attacked anywhere, any time, for any reason. You enjoy combat being an occasional surprise!
You'll notice that the YELLOW status means that you're transitioning between statuses. If you are switching either direction, please swap your flag to YELLOW and post which direction you are transitioning to in this thread. Your YELLOW Phase should last TEN DAYS. This is to prevent people from jumping back and forth to protect themselves or from jumping into a fight if it's convenient for them at the moment.
If you are participating in this system, please respect your fellow writers enough to not randomly attack them if you are in RED or YELLOW status. That's just a dick move. Have a public discussion on the board about whether or not its ok with the other person, as they would hopefully do for you.
If you break the rules, I can't do anything about it, but I'll call you out for everyone to see and make a huge stink about what an asshole you're being. Again, this project is optional for everyone involved, if you can't follow the rules, don't use it.
