Arthuria Pendragon
#1
Character name: Arthuria Pendragon

Character source: Fate-series. (Fate/Zero Fate/Stay Night)

Character history:
Arthuria was summoned to the Fourth Holy Grail War by a mage named Emiya Kiritsugu. Kiritsugu however paired Arthuria to his wife, Irisviel von Einzbern. Her and her master’s goal was obviously to win the war, and attain the Holy Grail.

Arthuria did in the end find the Holy Grail but she also met Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes who was waiting for her arrival. The man proposed that Arthuria would become his wife and easily incapacitated her. Arthuria refused the offer as the Holy Grail is just in front of her.
Her master Kiritsugu arrived and immediately Arthuria requested him for the power of the command seal in order to defeat Gilgamesh and claim the Holy Grail as well as the victory. Against her expectations and wishes, Kiritsugu decided to use his last two command seals for her to destroy the Grail. The King of Knights was forced to use Excalibur to destroy the vessel of the Holy Grail, but its contents spill out onto the earth, razing the land permanently and killing almost everyone caught in its mud. With the Grail gone and unable to maintain her form, Arthuria is sent back to the battlefield of Camlann, as she remembered the words of Lancelot and Rider.

She was the sixth and final servant to perish in the fourth Holy Grail War.
As she fell asleep, like so many times before beneath the tree, Omni decided that it was time for Arthuria to join the Omniverse.

Excalibur (600)
Excalibur has two forms.

Invisible Air:
In this state, Excalibur is enveloped in multiple layers of wind compressed around the blade. This compression of air allows the blade to be very hard to be analyzed based on looks. The wind disguises its shape, length and other physical properties to the naked eye. However, this advantage of surprise is also ruined by the wind. The wind dulls down the blade and reduces its overall sharpness to nearly blunt levels. However, the tip of the blade is still sharp and pointy, capable of piercing.

Excalibur:
Arthuria can use Excalibur without the compressed air enveloping the blade. If used without the layer of air, Excalibur is completely visible and recognizable, but also retains its normal level of sharpness.

Total length of Excalibur: 95 cm
Excaliburs Weight: 1,4 kg
Length of Hilt: 25 cm
Length of the Blade: 75 cm

If you’d like comparisons:
Average Long sword is in total 100-130 cm long, of which the blade length is about 90-110 cm. Average long sword weighs about 1.1 - 1.8 kg.
Arming swords on the other hand are usually 90 cm in total length on average, with the blade length averaging on about 75 cm, and the weight being approximately 1.1kg.

Release: Invisible Air (300)
Requires Area of Attack Proficiency & Excalibur in "Invisible Air"-state.
Releasing the high pressured air that renders Excalibur invisible causes the pressurized air to surge frantically around Arthuria with great force, capable of knocking down normal people and shaking even firm trees like a typhoon. This however reveals Excalibur in all of its glory leaving the sword visible to all eyes.

Everything looks good, but before I can set you up....

Arthuria Pendragon Wrote:Excalibur (600)
Excalibur has two forms. In its usual form, Arthuria covers the sword with multiple layers of wind compressed into super-high pressure air, which distorts the refraction of light and renders what is inside completely invisible. This technique is called Invisible Air. (Condition for some moves.)
This makes it so, that her opponents cannot recognize the sword to be the famous sword, Excalibur, as well as makes it very difficult for anyone to discern the size, length, width or trajectory. Technically, it could be said that the opponent cannot know (based on vision, unless they have some means of seeing through the sheath, such as insight, that allows them to analyze the move.) that it’s a blade, before they first clash with it.
The invisibility of the blade allows Arthuria to often take her opponents by surprise as they cannot estimate and parry her attacks through seeing the blades movements.
It should be mentioned that this sheath of wind that veils the blade, dullens its sharpness nearly completely and leaves it blunt. The tip of the blade is still sharp and pointy, capable of piercing.
In its other form, Excalibur is completely visible and in its natural state. This means that the blade is completely sharp, as there is no sheath of wind to dull its edge.

Total length of Excalibur: 95 cm
Excaliburs Weight: 1,4 kg
Length of Hilt: 25 cm
Length of the Blade: 75 cm

For clarity, I wanted to explain why this move doesn't need the power Stealth:
Quote:[12:38:33 PM] ElFailzalot- Kuzan: The key point of the move, as I'm understanding it, is that it just obscures what's being used. It goes from a sword, to a big wind-wrapped THING that you can't see quite right
[12:38:52 PM] ElFailzalot- Kuzan: You still know it's there, and after you get hit with it/block it once the trick is kind of moot
[12:39:02 PM] ElFailzalot- Kuzan: and it weakens the weapon already, nullifying its cutting power
[12:39:09 PM] ElFailzalot- Kuzan: so personally, I would call it as fine without Stealth

Now, with that said. I approve of this move at 600 OM.

Gonna need the Area Attack Proficiency for this one, but will be approved at 300 OM once you add Area Attack. Do this and I will get you set up!

Ah! Yes, AoE proficiency! True enough, didn't remember that one.

And yup, that's pretty much why I didn't go for the stealth power, because I felt I weakened it enough. (Also because I didn't think of it at the time, perhaps I'll upgrade it in the future.)
And in general, I feel like the fact that you can't see it, simply contributes to it being much harder to fight against, so that it doesn't need to be sharp (AKA the sharpness and such was a sensible nerf/price to pay for the invisibility.)
But all in all, I personally don't feel it's a one time trick, but at the same time it comes with a caveat large enough. Glad you agree with that. ^^

But yes, I edited the AoE proficiency into the original post.

Hmmm...

Well, he's the thing: People will see a gathering of wind surrounding where the sword is, so it won't be 100% naked to the eye. If you are fine with adding that clause, then we have a deal.

Hmm, I'll think on it a bit, and see if I have to re-draw the whole system into a bit more functional one.
I shall drop a new response here when I've managed to scamper it into a sensible state.

Ding! Should be fixed now. ^^ I gutted the wording of the move into a much more understandable fashion & convey what it is better. Does it seem good now?
