What should/could I do while I wait?

Sorry if I'm being rude but I'm wondering what I should do while waiting for acceptance? I really wish to at least talk in the chatbox since all I have been able to do is watch you guys talk. Not trying to impatient since I know staff have lives outside of OmniRPG it's just I'm bored and can't even communicate with members here... Which is kind of a downer ^^; Also, since I've been gone for a while why exactly do people need staff to give them access to the chat? Did something happen that I missed these months I've been gone? A troll attack perhaps? ouo? Thanks for answering! And sorry for my rude behavior >.<;;

Unfortunately since you aren't yet accepted you won't be able to join us in chat just yet. You should hopefully be approved soon, though! Just give the Angels a chance to look over your moves some more.

My personal advice for while you're waiting for approval is to write! You can get your first hundred or so words flowing while you await approval and hit the ground running when you're approved. Otherwise, here are some other things:

- As it has been a while since you were here last, looking over the rules some more might not be a bad idea. Specifically the pages starred on the Rules directory as the other stuff comes up later on in your tenure and might not be relevant to you just yet.

- You could try to plot out which other moves, powers and proficiencies you might want in the future and workshop some of them in the Move Creation Workshop.

- You might consider posing any questions you may have in the Quick Questions thread, or else post a new topic if it's too complicated an ask.

- You could work on writing up a history and stuff for your roster page as well, or PM people you might want to write with later on!

Just a few ideas. I don't imagine you'll have too long to wait, though these can distract you in the mean time. =D

A lot of people joining and immediately start breaking the OOC rules, asking lots of questions in chat, asking how long it's going to be to get approved, et cetera. Gating access to the chat gives people ample time to read over those rules and get used to the site by 'lurking', getting used to using the help desk for queries et cetera.

If it's been longer than forty-eight hours, feel free to bump your topic. But looking at your topic you only made it two days ago. Please be patient. As Kakashi said there is a lot you can do to get ready, and you can post replies in the OOC forums as well.

And yes, we do get trolls occasionally and staff aren't always online to block people, not to mention the people can use proxies et cetera. Requiring admin approval for chat posts gives us security 24/7.
