For a super basic image. Their armor is not going to be something that standard bullets can pierce. A far as site stats go, think around 5 or 6

Hey, something I'm useful for! Unsurprisingly I'm a pretty big 40k nerd, so shoot any questions you need answered mine or Thaal's way.

Just one or two things for you folks, if you managed to mess up enough on an upper tiers get a lockdown and marines coming after you, odds are they'd be a Tactical or, at the worst, Veteran squad. Think of them as a "special forces" group, like the SAS. Very well equipped and very experienced, used to dealing with troublemakers all across the Empire's territories. Or they might be sending an Assault, Scout or Devestator squad after you, but that's rather unlikely.

To be honest a group of soldiers like that are at least a 1-to-1 match for all of you, and probably quite a bit higher if what Proto has said is anything to go by. Remember - the only real differences between secondaries and primes is summoning and revival. Any prime can be around as strong as any secondary, and vice-versa.
#4
not only are they a 1-to-1 match, but I'd imagine you'd be quite shocked by their level of ability in working with one another. Ultramarines are constantly trained alongside their battle brothers, and their synchronization and cooperation as a team is second to none and wordless.
y'all dont got the goodest o chances

we are really going to have to work as a team for this (CRASH)

In this situation, it's sort of a guided story. You folks write a post doing something, and then the Storyteller account will post with what happens. It's not like a fight or anything else, it's essentially a, "This happens, what do you do?"

I'll definitely have some free time tonight, tomorrow night and Sunday, but Saturday is a family birthday, so yeah

Space Marines have:
Nigh-immunity to fear
2 Hearts, capable of injecting steroids and adrenaline.
A ribcage fused into a solid mass of bone
A height of 7-7.5 feet without armour
Stupid amounts of muscles
Enhanced blood oxygenation
The ability to generate scar tissue over their wounds in a matter of seconds
The ability to remain awake for up to 328 hours
The ability to eat anything they damn well please
A very high resistance to toxins and poisons
The ability to eat your brain to temporarily gain your recent memories and abilities
Four "superlungs"
Exceptional vision and hearing, only enhanced further by their armour
The ability to enter suspended animation for up to 567 years
Can track like a bloodhound
The ability to be temporarily resistant to the vacuum of space (If the correct chemical mixture is administered)
The ability to spit poison
A semi-organic interface with their power armour implanted beneath their skin
Semi-automatic weapons that fire explosive rounds
A set of armour capable of deflecting almost all forms of small arms fire, increasing their strength, nullifying flashbangs, administering painkillers, maintaining vox communication, magnetic soles, and looking fabulous
Chainswords

So, you may be wondering just how to avoid being arrested by Space Marines.

The answer is to not do what you did to deserve it.

If it is too late to do so, reincarnation is typical the first step.

you forgot to add the fact that they have guns that fire rocket-propelled explosive bullets.
And that that's just what they bring to the party when they decide to forego the heavy weapons.

If they also have those, expect weapons that can heat you till vaporization occurs, grenade launchers that detonate their payload remotely, guns that will increase your personal gravity, either enough to make sure you can't move, or enough to cause your organs to rupture under your own weight, depending on how kind the marines are feeling(And they're never feeling kind) or just a stream of missiles coming from the back-mounted Missile launcher that essentially makes them a walking talking MLRS.

Did I mention the utterly superhuman reflexes that allow them to dodge said rocket-powered bullets?

Yeah, I don't think even primes win a fight with SM's without at least 3-to-1 in their favor.
y'all better get ready to respawn

Ah yeah, I remember those guys from back when I used to play Dawn of War (I never had a chance to try the actual tabletop game, sadly). My poor little Imperial Guardsmen just kept getting slaughtered one squad after another... and now I finally know why. I knew they were supposed to be pretty tough, but I had no idea that even just regular marines were that epic. I am suddenly really looking forward to reading this fight (good luck guys; you'll obviously be needing it).

That said, as amazing as they surely are, I still stubbornly insist that nothing beats a good Baneblade. IG FTW.

as powerful as they were in there home verse, they're abilities can be severely deprived cause omni-balancing. How much though we dont know, I can speculate that (since they are elite guards to Palpatine) the Marines could be equal or around a 3rd-5th level prime. Their stats would vary to the individual as well. The only thing that would probably transfer without much problem is the knowledge of their training and exploits from their past life.

Keep in mind that even a def 0 character can walk around in a huge suit of armor, though omni-physics would dictate that anyone with atk-1 or more could punch through. Taking that in consideration, as long as you all are more cohesive (and can survive their numbers) you should to be able to, at the very least, get away.
#16
Sadly, there are 5. As such, they have a collective 12-22 level advantage.

This will not end well for you.

Perhaps... though I wouldn't bet on them being that weak. Remember, according to the rules a Prime can summon a Secondary with a level equal to their own. Now, I don't know what level Palpatine is, but I'm pretty sure it's higher than five, and like you said, these guys are supposed to be his elite guards.
If I was him, I'd certainly make my bodyguards as powerful as I possibly could.
[Image: Remote_Sensor_Tower_and_the_Fire_Warriors_2.png]
#19
True though i was kinda using that to explain how this world works, but would Palpatine really make his own body guards as strong as he was? even at the unknown level palpatine is, he is still limited by the rules of the world. He wouldn't properly be able to control the Space Marines if he wasn't able to defeat them himself. (otherwise the space marines would see him as a false emperor.) Palpatine's dealt with their kind before, who need occasional proof of his power. He's too smart to simply let anyone be able to match him without some contingency, and with a whole division of space marines

To be honest, it would be much easier if we were given a ballpark number palpatine is at currently. (im kinda guessing maybe ten?) If it is at ten, the space marines (taking in consideration your comment) could possibly be at say, 4-8 depending on type.

Edit: I realize that Palpatine cannot summon space marines, so his strength is no longer in the equation, but the person from the warhammer 40k verse that summoned them. They serve as Palpatine's guard, but that is as far as Palpatine's Omni-influence goes. (too many unknowns)
#20
Everything points to them being ludicruously strong.

My guess is their best bet to survive is to give them the slip. A straight fight and they're dead.
