Quote:You wake up in a black void, and there is a grinning silhouette in the darkness. You find you cannot speak, but somehow it seems to know what questions you want to ask, even without you asking.
Ughhhh, what the heck had hit him? He was just trying to beat the Mario Bros again, because not only would it show how great he was, but, he would get extreme satisfaction for finally defeating those irritating plumbers once and for all. Between that goody good hero, and his clumsy, bumbling brother, there were truly enough headaches to go around in the world. Like the one he was having right now. Had something hit him? Did he misaim one of the Bullet Bills? Did he accidentally set off one of his Bob-Ombs early? And- And- And, who the heck was that chump that he was looking at right now?
Quote:“My name is Omni. This is not the world you know. This is the Omniverse. You interest me, so I have made you part of it. The Omniverse is a place that reflects the wishes of those who are part of it. But! There are rules. I will explain them only once, so listen carefully."
He narrowed his eyes. Just who the heck was this guy, that he thought he could just snatch him up, and act as if he was some kind of plaything? That he could just lock him in some sort of universal toybox? Well, he wasn't about to have it. As soon as he could speak, he was about to give this guy a piece of his-
Quote:Omni hands you a glimmering orb in which all the colors of the rainbow coalesce. “This is Omnilium. It’s what ties the Omniverse together. Without it, you are nothing. With it, anything you desire can be yours. But you will need more than this. If you desire it enough, you will find it. You will find that using it comes naturally. Just think of what you desire most."
His attention. The Koopaling was about to give everything this very interesting man said his full, and undivided attention. As he took the orb in his hands, and absorbed it as well, he couldn't help but stare in a sort of awe and wonder. He felt like he was dancing on clouds in the sky. He felt like he had the strength of a thousand koopas. And, while these feelings might be exaggerations, the young Koopaling knew that this was his ticket. His ticket to power, his ticket to showing his family, and, finally, his ticket to being truly and magnificently great. Finally, he would get what he deserved. And, what he deserved was not to be in the shadow of either his older siblings, or his younger siblings. That smug little jerk gave him only a star? Well, once he found him, he would give his baby brother the thrashing of a lifetime. Nothing was too good for the heir of King Bowser, after all. Especially not brutal trouncings. But, just then, he noticed the man was speaking. Well, might as well give him at least a little bit more of his time, right?
Quote:“You will not be alone in the Omniverse. There are others. Of course, they, too desire Omnilium. Do not fear death. For as long as you interest me, you will be reborn."
He couldn't help but frown a bit, as he listened to the strange being talk. So, he had even more competition now, did he? Well, did that even really matter? He was Larry Koopa, after all, son of Bowser himself, even if he didn't consider himself to be on friendly conversation terms with the older Royal Koopa. He could handle himself against whoever these people were. But, one of the things he really liked about what this Omni guy was saying, was that he could basically keep on coming back from the dead. It was like using cheat codes to get infinite lives in a video game. And, he couldn't help but love the thought of that. He could have plenty of time, and keep growing stronger, and, then, he'd show all his siblings what he was like. Oh, that Roy, with his stupid-looking biker wear. Oh, that Wendy, with her stupid, dumb bow. Oh, that Morton, with his- Well, with his Mortonness. Truth be told, he always found Morton to be more than a bit weird. But, looked like Omni still wasn't finished talking.
Quote:“That’s all you need to know right now. You’ll figure out the rest soon enough. I’ll be watching … and waiting.”
The darkness fades away, and you find yourself in a vast, empty white landscape, in front of a fountain.
Awwwwwwwww, he'd know the rest soon enough? Why not now? He'd love to have every single little advantage he could get his claws. But, apparently, Omni was just going to leave him to his own devices. Once the darkness faded away, he took a bit of a look at his surroundings. Huh. Just about everything, excluding the people, were pure white. Was he in some kind of cartoon sketch? Or, maybe in some sort of blank mural? Well, he definitely wasn't sure. But, as he looked around, he noticed there were about eight different things, in eight different directions, on the horizion. Were these some kind of doorways to other worlds, in this weird 'Omniverse'? Well, he would find out. At this point, however, he had no idea which way to go. Sooooooo- "Eenie, meanie, miney, moe, catch a tiger, by it's toe. Hey, where did that Mario Bro go, eenie, meanie, miney, moe!" Well, it looked like he was going North. So, without further to do, he began ditching this place, and headed toward the North gate in the horizon.
