Character name:
Formally known as Emma Shutter, Ash: The Storm Demon.
Character source:
Original Character - Created for Another RP, Concept Inspired by D&D(5th) and Shadow Run.
Character history:
Emma Shutter, born and raised in the very distant future of a world whose magic is dying and technology is thriving and has even attempted to take over. Where punks like her started hacking for fun. First it was just harmless things like making the vending machines through out free drinks and snacks. Progressed to tapping into the city's maintenance bots, and reprogramming them to vandalize several building and non-hologram billboards in childish ways. The one hack that woke Emma up a bit was the time they hacked a police vehicle. She was still only 17, and was charged as a minor. Few months in Juvie, and another month of Community Service did two things for her.
One. Showed her that the justice system is very real, and active.
And two. How not to get caught next time.
It did shock her back into reality. Hacking was a crime, not a game. But while she was there, she picked up a lot of tricks, tips, notes, and advice. Fortunately she didn't really get into it after her release and community services. Probably because of how much her twin sister, Isabella Shutter, made a big deal about things. In a turn of events, however, later it would be Bella that drove her back into the urban life of cyber crimes.
Isabella was the perfect twin. The twin that was going places and who had all of their parents support and affection. She didn't act stuck up for it, and actually did her best to include Emma, but none of her efforts countered the damage their parents were unknowingly doing. Once Bella went to collage, and their mother praised her like an angel sent to earth from God himself, Emma turned to her old comforts. Causing trouble and slacking off in life.
Emma wasn't the type for normal jobs, and her outer cyber punk appearance wasn't really going to land her a desk job. If only someone had pulled her aside and let her use her skill with the computers in a positive way. Perhaps she could have even been helpful to society or something. She wasn't actually the type to work an abnormal job either. But she landed a stripping job at some hole in the wall in the slums. It wasn't the most glamorous of jobs. But she tossed her 'give a damn' in the river a long time ago.
It was on the very night that she was called in for her 'interview', if that's what you can call it, that her entire life changed. Creatures that she'd call 'Shadow Hounds' chased her and anyone else on the street to one of two ends. The ends of the earth, or a dead end alley. Dead end alley, was just that. The end of the road to whatever poor sap didn't know the city's layout well enough. Anyone lucky enough to know some way out, was chased up walls, down into the sewers, or in Emma's case, to the warehouse district on the coastal side of town. She had a friend with a boat, that she doubt he was going to be using. But on the way, a pillar of light burst into the night air, and she was drawn like a moth.
For good reason, as that pillar of light had actually been a magical vault containing magical items of ill, well, and unknown reputations. But in this magical treasure trove, only one item was meant for Emma. So passionately meant for Emma, that it got tired of waiting for her, and launched itself through the glass ceiling, to land a few feet away from her. Enter the original owner of The Red Devil's Claw and Quill in a pocket of time manipulation to give the spiritually chosen Heir of these items and other things of his, add a vague message explaining that Emma is that Heir and promises of riches. And Emma's got herself an adventure!
The rest of the night was a blur, but one should also note that Isabella also had an item in this vault, and appeared to claim it. An Elvin longbow. There were other's, but after the rescue, Isabella was loved, and Emma was ignored. Same play, different actors. They stuck together long enough to get some answers for that night, and for Emma to sprout a tail and the beginnings of a pair of horns. Then paths started splitting.
Emma went the path of Ash, and then tagged 'The Storm Demon' for added flare. But it was in no way a secret identity for a hero. No, it was an actual discarding of the old identity and starting on a new adventure. One that eventually landed her in the depths of the ocean. Under that raging sea, a ship from ancient times slept. And when she got close enough, it recognized its new master, and awoke. Like something from the times of the Titans, it rose from the depth's of the sea and in some unexplained way, was not damaged the way you'd expect a sunken ship to be. Actually the ship was completely in tact, and partially metallic. As if someone was preparing it for a new age. And she came in and wrecked their progress.
It was no sooner than the fully changed Tiefling, Ash, surfaced and did a quick tour in excited haste, did she wonder how she was supposed to even run a ship that needed 30+ men?
Well.. That's a question for another day. The whole ship was inexplicably dry. And she flopped down in the Captain's Quarter's bed. But it was apparently this feat, along with the rest of her achievments, that must have attracted the attention of Omni. Because one weird dream later, and she was no longer on her ship. Or even in her world. Hell.. She wasn't even in her universe anymore.
Physical Description:
She didn't realize at the time.. But that gift had a side-effect. And within a month, Emma was no longer human.. She was a creature from hell, a humanoid with pale bruise colored purple skin, white-out eyes, black horns that curved along her crown before reaching for the moon, midnight blue hair, and a devil's tail. She had transformed slowly into a Tiefling.. The Red Devil himself had been one, but he almost had been the last..
Almost...
She was just a bit taller standing at 5'8", but her build filled out a bit more in the hips and chest. While she was still slender and had her tattoo and piercings, she was a little different all around.
Stats:

Starting Proficiencies:
Physical Strength Proficiency (Melee/Fighting) - 1000 OM
Ranged Proficiency -1000 OM
Starting Powers:
Master Acrobat - 400 OM
Burst Movement - 800 OM
Starting Moves:
Red Devil's Claw - 300 OM
-Ranged Proficiency
The Claw is unique but roughly a basic looking Grapple Hook. The arms, however, are sharpened like a blade on the outside, implying it can be used in other ways that just a means of movement. The type of metal is unknonw, but it is crimson in color, and carries ruins are typical for resisting flames. This does nothing for the wielder, just the grapple. The 'rope' is also strange, in the fact that it is hair. Most likely from a human or humanoid. It's true length is unknown as it has been braided in some places. But Ash has access to 15 ft, if she so chooses to use all of it.
Ash has had this weapon for a long time, and knows it inside and out, allowing her to use it while moving around and is generally using it to do so.
Modifications: Grapple Shot - 300 OM
Ash paid a blacksmith to come up with creative way to allow her to shoot The Claw, and he came up with a system similar to a crossbow. Loading the hook into the firing mechanism that is attached to her arm with a heavy duty brace, Ash can then shoot the hook in any direction she can aim it. The rope remains free of the device upon launch, if ever the target's position exceeds the hair's length, Ash will have to give chance in whatever fashion it takes.
Modifications: High Power - 300 OM
The Claw shoots from the device on Ash's arm with the power and speed of a harpoon gun. Able to pierce a limb of a giant, without taking her own arm off. The 'rope' is in no way attached to her arm, but the recoil of firing the hook is very real.
Red Devil's Quill - 300 OM
-Physical Strength Prof.
The Quill is a dagger in the shape of a feather. The blade being the 'fur' part of the feather, with lines carved into the metal to give it a similar texture visually as a feather. It's made of a more familiar material, steel. Other than its detailed appearance, the only unique factor is if Ash turns it around she can write with the other side. It also automatically writes in blood, she assumes its the blood of anyone who's been stabbed with it.
Shocking Grasp - 300 OM
-Uses Physical Strength Prof.
Bright blue lightning sparks to life around one or both of Ash's hands. (Having it in both hands does not increase its power in any way.) Ash's hand(s) continue to pulse with electricity until she makes a successful touch attack, or voluntarily releases the energy from her control. (If she does choose to continually ready the attack, it drains Ash of her energy faster.) Once she touches someone, friend or foe, the electricity transfers and shocks the target. Depending where on the body she got her attack off, it hurts more or less. This move can stun a weakened opponent.
Mobile Dataverse Device(100) and Communicator(200) - 300 OM
(I didn't know if I was allowed to buy this now or not.)
Ashley spent the credits to get a directly implanted cyber jack. It's located at the base of her neck, giving her access to the vast information that was the Matrix, and communications with the world. When summoned to the Omniverse the comm connected to the Dataverse, giving her the same abilities she had in her own universe.
Total OM Spent: 5000/5000
All Resources were Spent.
