Character name: Satya Ashima
Character source: Original character based in a fantastical world.
Character history: Satya Ashima was born into a life of adversity. His destiny was his choice, but the choices were limited to two deeply contrasting paths. Satya's vessel reacted differently to the mystical force within his world, known as Mantra. It is otherwise known as Magic, Chi, Ki, and even Spiritual Energy. Within Satya's realm, newborn babies repel Mantra when it is directed at their body as they are pure and cannot be touched by it . Only as early as six can a child interact with Mantra and use it in any way. Satya differed in how his body did not reject Mantra, instead absorbing it before showing extreme discomfort and being forced to tears by the energy. This was the sign of a "disturbed birth," which indicated that Satya was born as the incarnation of an Asura. An Asura, in Satya's realm, is an individual born to purge the world and keep the Defenders of the Earth in his realm in check.
History of the Realm (Optional Read):
Long ago, cosmic beings known as the Creators were manifested from immense Mantra outputs of the planets within the solar system. The only planet which had not manifested a Creator was the planet Earth, the most pure of them all. Wanting to give themselves equal representation on the planet the Creators created the beings known as Defenders and placed them on Earth to represent their respective parents. The Defenders constantly battled each other for land and power, and are responsible for creating Humanity. The Humans worshiped the Defenders like gods, creating shrines to them and representing them in their own ways.
One of these Defenders, the child of Jupiter, was named Asura. He came to realize that the Creators were actually selfish beings and were not being kind at all to the Defenders. They forced them to constantly fight for power, causing destruction to the planet and costing innocent Humans their lives. Noticing this, Asura called a meeting with the Defenders and explained that they should ask the Creators to share their planet's and their Mantra to make the universe a more balanced place. Jupiter, having the most absolute power of the Creators, was the one that Asura chose to confront, speaking with her through their spiritual connection. Jupiter refused this proposal, saying that the Defenders were lucky to even be alive and that they should be more grateful. Asura disagreed of course, and found himself enraged by rejection. He then turned to the Defenders and rallied them for a war on the Creators.
The event that ensued was a massive battle between the Creators and their children. As the war waged on, Asura learned that he was different from the other Defenders. Instead of being able to channel and use Mantra like a mage would, he instead absorbed it endlessly and it enhanced his body. The more that Asura retained, the more powerful he'd become, and the more his wrathful emotions would overwhelm him. This ability proved to be Asura's greatest weapon as the Defenders around him slowly fell one by one and Asura remained the only one standing. He single-handedly defeated Venus and Mars, and fought his way to Jupiter for the final encounter. The final battle was one of enormous scale, but the Mantra reserves of Jupiter fueled Asura's rage and power. Realizing that she'd fall in the end, Jupiter had to resort to the unsavory technique of sealing. She sealed Asura deep within her planet's core, where the Mantra levels were immense and would destroy any creature.
Being sealed, Asura absorbed extreme levels of Mantra; it was so much so that it destroyed him from the inside out, causing his death. Jupiter waited a year to fully recover her strength before restoring the Creators as well as the Defenders (excluding Asura). The Earth would undergo an extreme change as the Defenders would now be sealed within the Earth only to awaken every 120 years for 3 days to perform their duty of defending the planet. Who would they be defending it from: Asura. Despite his extreme disobedience and the destruction he caused, Jupiter took pride in her creation and granted Asura the gift of reincarnation every 100 years. Each incarnation of Asura would be allowed to live the first ten years of their life before being forced into a Mantra chamber for the next 10 years. The Mantra exposure would cause the new Asura to be consumed by rage, and at the end of the ten year period the individual would be bestowed upon the Earth to destroy it. This acted as a punishment to the Defenders for their actions. This has been going on for hundreds of thousands of years and has become an accepted tradition.
Satya was allowed to live the first ten years of his life peacefully, but his life was filled with sorrow. As the appearance of an Asura was a tradition, it was also a tradition to seclude the Asura and not interact with it outside of education. Much of the young boy's time was spent alone and brewing. He learned of what love and compassion was in his teachings and found himself often reading stories to learn what "normal life" was like. It wasn't until the age of 9 that Satya had a friend. He encountered an orphaned peasant girl (named Mina) whom was unaware of what an Asura was or what Satya would become. She was the only person to ever show Satya affection or compassion. She was an individual who brought Satya happiness in his life and he almost forgot about the coming pain that he'd have to endure.
He nearly forgot, until his 10th birthday arrived. Jupiter herself came to greet Satya before taking him into the cosmos with her. His mission of destruction was explained before he was trapped in the solitude of the Mantra chamber and forced to endure the Mantra exposure on his body. Being semi-human, Satya's body was able to resist death from the pain, but it was still extremely agonizing. The exposure eventually caused Satya's body to change and he became what he was meant to be from birth: an Asura. The pain he experienced also transformed into rage. Once he became twenty years of age, Satya was transported to Earth to carry out his mission. Consumed by his rage, Satya did the only thing he could to release the Mantra in his body, destroy everything in sight.
Much like the eras before, the Defenders fought valiantly against the Asura, but it was to no avail. The only thing that managed to stop Satya was the close encounter he had with his old friend. It was during this meeting that Satya found his anger calmed. He couldn't bring himself to harm her, and even apologized for what he had done. Seeing that Satya halted his conquest, Venus himself appeared on Earth to confront the man. Venus explained that Satya had no choice in the matter and had only his mission to complete. After his refusal to comply, Satya was knocked aside by Venus and Mina was killed before his eyes. This was an effort to reawaken Satya's rage, and the cosmic being had succeeded. However, Satya's rage was no longer directed at the world around him, it was directed at the Creators.
With his anger flowing once more, Satya lashed out at Venus and defeated him in combat. Afterward, Satya claimed that he'd destroy the remaining Creators and carry out the mission the Asura was truly meant to. Sadly, such an honorable effort never was carried out. The Creators gave Satya no chance to rebel and immediately resorted to their fail-safe plan of using their collective power to immediately strike down Satya.
It seemed like the end of Satya's story, and perhaps it was. But Omni's intervention resulted in Satya's reawakening as a Prime. His story continues from that point.
Physical Description:
[float=right]
[/float]
Description: Losing the physical magnificence of his appearance as an Asura, Satya has regained most of his humanity. He has flawless peach skin, free from any blemishes. He stands at six feet and weighs about 179 pounds. His body possesses defined muscle, nothing chiseled out of marble, but it is impressive nonetheless. He retains the cloth he received in the past, a fully black garment. The collar of his shirt rises out of the armor upon his chest to flare around his neck. He wears a pair of gauntlets and greaves as well, both very non-restricting to his movement. A short cape adorns his upper body from shoulder to shoulder, it's edges being outlined in a golden color. Satya also wears a black mask upon his face, reminiscent of what one would see in a masquerade party. The only reminders Satya has of what he is (aside from his clothes) are his ghostly white eyes and reddened hair that flows behind his head. His eyes are perhaps the only things that tip off others to his supernatural status.
Asura's Axe - 300OM (Physical Strength Proficiency Required).
Satya's weapon of choice. It is a 4 foot long weapon that has multiple uses. The lower half of the weapon can be used for impalement due to it's spear-like nature while the top half can be used for cutting, stabbing, or causing simple blunt force trauma. It is a highly durable weapon, having been enchanted by the more powerful beings of Satya's world, but is still subject to being destroyed. The nature of Asura's Axe gives it only slightly more heft than, say, a sword. This allows it to be wielded with ease by a person whom possesses strength like Satya's. The weapon is stored on his back.
Absolute Step - 300OM (Super Jump (Advanced) Required)
Using his superior focus and physical ability, Satya moves through the air using nothing but the air around him. More specifically, he kicks off of the air to gain altitude. Through the use of his Super Jump, Satya can perform this technique once without effort to gain an extra 30 meters in altitude.
