Request help discribing / pricing moves

Hey all,

Creating a new character and with the two moves i am planning for him i would like your help to nerf him down and properly price him.

Proficiencies : Ranged Proficiency,  Remote Control Proficiency and Area Shield Proficiency

move 1 : Electromagnetic metal control ( 600 OM ): Magneto uses his electromagnetic powers to use metal around him at his will. Within the Omniverse he is limited to  X kg / pounds   or X metalic objects at the same time. He uses his hands to grab, aim, move or shape the selected metalic object. ( will be more detailed but i'm kind of stuck on this one )

Move 2 : Electromagnetic shield.( 600 OM ) Magneto uses his power as a projection of force-fields which selectively block out matter and energy. These fields are strong enough to withstand the detonation of multiple thermonuclear weapons, hence Magneto is invulnerable to most harm when surrounded by his shield and can survive in deep space thanks to it. Yet in the Omniverse it works different, even though it still blocks out selective matter and energy it has drawbacks. Projectiles with enough force may still penetrate it, the shield cannot be as large as he wants to. Its limited to either a bubble large enough for two people or a shield shaped as a screen with a width of 5 meters. To use the screen he will need both of his hands to maintain it.

In regards to metal control you're mostly going to be limited to your own metal and you're going to have to purchase specific applications rather than a general "power". For example you might have one move that bends metal to create a shield in front of him.

A general one that simply picks things up with metal arms or whatever could be created, just pick up all the telekinesis requirements and then create a move that has similar applications to telekinesis's base effects.

Obviously you won't be able to have an advantage against primes that use metal, because balance and such.

Well the shield he uses in the comics / series was magnetic energy instead of actually metal covering him. though i dont know if that would be possible here ?

And do you mean he has to carry around metal with him to use as weapons and isn't able to use his power on metal other then his own ? ( Primes excluded ofcourse )

In certain arenas we might disallow it but no, not as a general rule. It's just advisable to carry a source of metal of your own if a lot of your powers revolve around it.

Understandable ! starting to understand better now.

Seeing as it would be very.... lets say unpractical for him to physically carry around a lump of metal. would it be allowed for him to have a small metal ball ( or several small metal balls ) floating around / near him ? i could make a move around this and another using them as attacks. ( if that is alright ? )

And would the shield be allowed as energy as in the comics ? or would you prefer a metal shield.

An energy shield is fine, I was just using an example.

He'd be able to magnetokinetically carry metal if you had a move for that, but it would be as draining as physically carrying the metal if not more so. You could create a move to summon it or just find metal in your environment as needed.

Hmm ok so how would something like this sound :

Flying metal ( 600 ): Magneto uses omnilium to summon metalic weapon(s) to attack his enemy. The metalic weapon(s) he summons can be controlled by Magneto aslong as he uses his hands to guide them through the air using his Electromagnetic fields. These weapons can consist out of several bullet sized orbs or a single metalic spear. Once the metal has been summoned it cannot change shape until Magneto re-uses his attack to create new weapons, losing the ones he had already summoned.

( would the rules of Omnilium summoning apply here ? as in it takes a minute or 3 in order for him to create this metal ? )
